Seafood Futaba-ya, first visit. Located just a few minutes' walk from Okunimachi Station, right in front of Imamiya Eki Station, this izakaya has a fish tank. When you enter, you are greeted with festival-like music, staff in happi coats, and a beautiful female owner, creating a great atmosphere! There are counter seats, regular tables, and sunken kotatsu-style seating. I was drawn in by the sign for the Ebisu Summer Festival, and had a feeling it would be a good choice. The female owner kindly recommended some dishes, and we ordered them along with some delicious draft beer. After a few minutes of waiting, we were served seasonal grilled vegetables, huge rock oysters, and a sashimi platter. Everything was delicious. The grilled vegetables were especially tasty with the perfect amount of salt. They had a game where if you rolled a double on the dice when ordering a Chinchirorin highball, it would be free. After three tries, we finally got a double! It was fun and exciting, and we didn't lose out on anything. Lastly, we had a generous bowl of ikura (salmon roe) on rice. The female owner carefully topped it with a lot of ikura. All of this for only 1980 yen. They were attentive, the atmosphere was cozy, and in the end, it was a high-cost performance. Thank you for the meal! I will definitely come back!

I had a good impression when I visited here before, but the sashimi on this day was disappointing. It may depend on the ingredients they have on hand... It was overall a bit less than it looked, so dining alone might be better. The crab roe? The taste was delicious lol. Too much mayonnaise though.

I came to Futaba-ya near Imamiya Ebisu for lunch. It looks like a seafood izakaya, but they also serve lunch. There are various lunch menu options including fried chicken, salted mackerel, sashimi, seafood bowl, boiled whitebait, salmon bowl, seafood donburi, and eel bowl. You can also add udon or soba to your set meal for an additional 200 yen. I chose the salted mackerel set meal. The mackerel is grilled crispy, including the skin. The level of char on the skin is to my liking, and the meat is juicy and delicious. Cold tofu is also included, and it was silky smooth. You can get refills for the rice. I asked for seconds. Miso soup is also included. 3-3-11 Shikitsu Higashi, Naniwa-ku, Osaka City.

I saw a menu item on Instagram that is not currently on the menu, but I really wanted to try it. I asked the restaurant owner, Futaba-san, and she kindly agreed to make a regular ikura donburi for me instead. I made a reservation and visited the restaurant. I ordered a tomato sour drink, the ikura donburi, the famous dashimaki tamago, a sashimi platter, and the maguro mountain on rice. The ikura donburi was beautifully presented in a gold bowl and tasted delicious. I was glad I could eat it. I also wanted to meet the beautiful owner, Futaba-san, but unfortunately, she wasn't there that day. I hope to see her next time.

The oyster hot pot for one person can be chosen with grated daikon, green onion, and no lemon for around 1,000 yen each, totaling around 4,000 yen. They have several types of sake, mainly pure rice sake, which was a pleasant surprise. The rolled omelette was also delicious.

In January, I will be featuring three articles on lunch seafood bowls priced over 1000 yen, including a showdown of 30 lunches in Wakayama. The first review is on "Kaisen Futabaya" in Osaka, where I ordered a seafood bowl for 880 yen.

I ordered the "seafood bowl" lunch at the izakaya "Kaisen Futabayaya" near Daikokucho Station. The seafood bowl had squid, salmon, yellowtail, sea bream, and bonito today, depending on the availability of ingredients. All the fish were delicious. The seafood bowl came with miso soup, tofu, and the price was reasonable (880 yen), which I appreciated. I heard they also have ikura donburi on the menu, so I would like to go back and try it.

"Uotabiya" is a restaurant located a short walk from Imamiya Ebisu Station in Osaka. Although they don't usually serve lunch, they started offering lunch during the pandemic. They have lunch menu items like fried chicken set, salted mackerel set, sashimi set, and seafood bowl. I ordered the seafood bowl with added udon. It came with cold tofu, pickles, and you can change the miso soup to udon or soba for an extra 200 yen. You also get coffee for an additional 100 yen. The restaurant is particular about their ingredients, sourcing from nearby Kizu Market. In the evenings, they are popular for their seafood dishes as an izakaya. In addition to the cost-effective seafood bowl, they also offer salmon bowl, ikura bowl, and more. If you're interested, why not try it for lunch or dinner?

When I visited Osaka on a business trip, I went to this restaurant recommended by a friend who used to live in Kansai. There were big crabs in the fish tank! Unfortunately, I have a crab allergy so I couldn't eat them... I wish I could develop a tolerance for crab (lol). I usually enjoy seafood in Kanazawa with delicious ingredients, but I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the seafood was in Osaka! I tried various dishes like sushi, salmon bowl, and rolled omelette, and everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. The sushi with seasonal yellowtail was especially recommended! I'm grateful to my friend for recommending this place. Thank you for the feast. They also have a wide selection of sake, so it's a great place for those who love alcohol.

I have visited this restaurant with friends several times, but this time we used it for entertaining guests. Inside the restaurant, there is a tank with live crabs. Since it was crab season, we decided to have hot pot and sashimi. The snow crabs taken out of the tank were incredibly delicious! There were also fresh abalones available that day, so we ordered them as sashimi. There was a wide variety of alcohol available, and I ended up drinking too much. Since the restaurant is a bit away from Minami and not crowded with foreign tourists, we were able to enjoy our meal leisurely, and our guests were pleased. I would like to use this restaurant again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I went to Futaba-ya for seafood. First, I ordered the summer vegetable assorted plate, and the vegetables were so fresh that I was surprised by the variety. The tomatoes were sweet and delicious. The overflowing salmon roe was placed on top with the landlady's shout, and the sight and taste were amazing with the roe overflowing from the bowl. I will definitely order the overflowing salmon roe again next time!

The essence of criticism lies in presenting new perspectives. Critic Hiroki Azuma once said that. I love reading movie reviews and sports match reports, and what impresses me the most is when I am shown a perspective that I had not noticed before. Even though we are looking at the same thing, the way we perceive it can be so different, and that excites me. Today, I visited "Kaisen Futabayaya" (3-3-11 Shikitsu Higashi, Naniwa-ku, Osaka). This seafood izakaya is located next to the ramen shop "Mineaji." It opened in March this year, initially only for dinner, but now they have started serving lunch. I was looking forward to it. I had a conversation with the menu. The lunch menu mainly consists of tendon dishes, with seafood bowls, udon, and soba on the side. I was torn between two options but decided on the following: - Chicken Tendon (780 yen) The tempura included small-sized chicken tempura (6 pieces), along with pumpkin, sweet potato, green beans, eggplant, etc. The tempura was freshly fried, bringing out the umami flavor of the ingredients. It was served with grated radish and bonito-flavored vinegar for a refreshing finish. The hot soup that almost burns your tongue was a delight. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. As I continue on my journey, I will strive to improve and move forward without regrets.

I visited the restaurant in Osaka with a 15% off coupon for entering by 6:30 pm. It was a lifesaver that they had set meals for my children. The sashimi platter was small but fresh and delicious. The fluffy and creamy rolled omelette was exquisite! The staff were attentive and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant.

Located right next to Imamiya Ebisu Station, a 3-minute walk from Daikokucho Station. A new restaurant that opened in March 2018. I happened to visit while passing by. With tanks for live fish, my expectations for seafood were high. The interior of the restaurant has a modern design with chairs and tables, but the lighting is bright with fluorescent colors. There are tatami rooms in the back, and table and counter seats in the front. The beautiful landlady and accommodating chef, along with other staff, run the place. They focus on using ingredients from the Hokuriku region, offering a wide variety of dishes and a selection of sake. If they don't have your favorite sake, they will have it by your next visit. They have a variety of seafood dishes, with a special focus on crab dishes throughout the year. They also pay attention to vegetables, which were delicious. There were also various eel dishes, perfect for this time of year. It's a place where you can have conversations and feel a warm atmosphere, suitable for people of all ages. I feel like cheering for this place. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.
