I was looking for motsunabe during my first trip to Fukuoka, but ended up choosing this place because the side dishes looked delicious too. - Otoshi (appetizer): Deep-fried daikon was soft but lacked flavor. It tasted great when I dipped it in the yuzu pepper that was on the table. Recommended. - Motsunabe miso flavor (for 2 people): I ordered it for 2 people, and at first, it didn't look like a lot, but it was just right. The garlic flavor was strong and incredibly delicious. I even thought about ordering more! - Sesame amberjack: It was tender and tasty. - Horse sashimi: The sauce for it was sweet. It came with ginger, lemon, and green onions as condiments. Delicious. - Shime (finishing dish): I couldn't decide between champon and zosui, but I'm glad I chose zosui. The portion was just right and it was delicious. - Alcohol: I tried the kabosu sour, which had a taste between lemon sour and grapefruit sour. It was easy to drink and delicious. The draft beer was also good. Overall, it was excellent. I want to eat it again right away. However, I wish they had provided more detailed explanations, such as how much more hotpot we could eat.

I visited for the second time following last year! I was so impressed by the deliciousness of the motsunabe (tripe hot pot) and horse sashimi I had last time, that I came back to Hakata after about a year for a friend's wedding. While there are some delicious motsunabe restaurants in Osaka, the lack of any unpleasant smell in the tripe and the sweet flavor unique to Hakata really stood out. The prices are not too high either, which is great. The difference in deliciousness of the horse sashimi is even greater, as in Osaka, you can still taste the remnants of frozen meat, but the soft, melting texture of the horse sashimi here is exceptional! It's so delicious that I feel like I could eat about three servings by myself just of the horse sashimi haha. Because it's a popular restaurant, making a reservation is a must. I definitely want to visit again when I go to Hakata next time!

The oden at this izakaya was more elaborate than at other places, and the recommended dish, the motsu (offal), was soft and enjoyable, not chewy. The staff recommended trying it with yuzu pepper, which was also delicious. This was my first time using this restaurant. I usually order miso when it comes to motsunabe, but this time I chose soy sauce. I've never tried the miso here so I can't compare, but the soy sauce was refreshing yet flavorful and delicious. I will be a soy sauce fan from now on!笑

Motsunabe miso + horse sashimi platter + liver sashimi, etc. for 6200 yen. I used a meal voucher for this visit. I was able to order a single portion ahead of time. The horse meat was very fresh and delicious. Then, the main dish arrived! It consisted of leeks, cabbage, tofu, and tripe in a simple composition. The aroma of garlic stimulated my appetite. It was my first time trying it, but it was very delicious! It's hard to eat hot pot dishes alone, so I was happy about that. I was so full after eating the porridge at the end. Today I had work in Hakata, and decided to have motsunabe (tripe hot pot) with a friend afterwards. I've been living in Fukuoka for 5 years now, but I haven't been eating motsunabe at all recently, so it's scary how quickly you can get used to living in Fukuoka. When I lived in Tokyo, I used to love eating motsunabe and would go often. So today, we chose the restaurant "Ichitaka Main Store". It's a well-known restaurant in Fukuoka, affiliated with the famous Ichitō. We ordered: - Hakata spicy cod roe: 495 yen - Chicken Karaage: 440 yen - Motsunabe Miso (for 2 people): 2816 yen Since motsunabe was the main attraction, we kept the side dishes to a minimum. The menu also includes items like horse sashimi and live squid, clearly targeting tourists. Come to think of it, I haven't been eating horse sashimi or squid lately either. The Hakata spicy cod roe was delicious! Fukuoka's cod roe is truly the best in the world. The Chicken Karaage was big and juicy, with a classic seasoning that reminded me of mom's cooking. The Motsunabe Miso arrived, almost fully cooked. I still remember the shock I felt when I first tried miso-flavored motsunabe in Fukuoka. But this time, although it was tasty, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Maybe I set the bar too high. Nevertheless, the tripe was tender and easy to chew, and there was plenty of it for two people. Since the vegetables were scarce, we ordered noodles to finish off the meal. With two drinks each, the total came to just over 7000 yen. It was a satisfying meal and a nice change to have motsunabe once in a while. Apologies for not taking many photos. It was cold, so I felt like eating motsunabe and made a last-minute reservation to visit at 6:30 pm on Sunday. The people after us were turned away, so we just made it in time. The course came with all-you-can-drink for 4000 yen. We ordered drinks through our smartphones. Vinegared motsu, potato salad, and horse sashimi were the first to arrive. The potato salad had pickled radish mixed in, giving it a fresh taste and a nice texture. We tried the miso flavor for the motsunabe as recommended, and it might be my favorite taste so far. We also had gyoza for dessert because I had only eaten bread that day and felt unsatisfied. With horse sashimi included at this price, it was a great deal! It was delicious.

The motsunabe was very delicious. I think it was white miso broth. However, the slow service with the QR code ordering system via the internet is a drawback, especially when the drinks from the all-you-can-drink menu take a long time to arrive. But the restaurant allowed us to use a private room even for walk-ins and extend our stay, which was satisfying.

A restaurant that serves delicious motsunabe and other dishes! The motsunabe was reliably delicious as always!! On this day, I had the soy sauce flavor, (on another day, I had the spicy miso ♡) The side dishes were also very tasty, with many menu items that seemed unique compared to other motsunabe restaurants! The interior of the restaurant is designed in a way that even solo diners can feel comfortable, making it a great place to stop by for a drink after work!

Weekday night visit. It seems to be a new store of the Itto Group! The interior is bright and very lively, as expected for a new store! There is also a loft-like seating area one level up, which is an interesting design! We had the motsunabe, of course! There was also a limited edition spicy miso motsunabe, but we went for the reliable miso... (I forgot to take a photo of the motsunabe. lol) The impression was... delicious!! The rich miso flavor spreads in the mouth and makes the alcohol go down smoothly (#^.^#) The side menu is also extensive, and even though we stayed for about 2 hours, we left very satisfied and full! The staff were also very friendly and it seems like they put a lot of effort into training! Truly the Itto brand!╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice, with a stylish space dominated by white. I ordered motsunabe, and the taste of the food was really good. The soup was delicious, and the other ingredients were also very tasty. The service was quick, and I would like to visit again.

I tried the miso flavor. It has a mild taste. For those who don't like the mild taste, they also have a spicy miso option. It's good for a light meal during the first round of drinks. It might be nice for when you want to eat a quick motsunabe during the second round. The price for one serving of motsunabe is 1380 yen, which is average. The employees were cheerful and many of them were friendly. If you need to charge your phone, you can ask the staff to temporarily hold onto it and charge it for you.

We had miso motsunabe, shime chanpon, seared lean horse meat sashimi, and horse liver sashimi. They were all incredibly delicious and became the most memorable part of our trip to Hakata. Next time, I will definitely try the live squid sashimi! (It was sold out)

I had motsunabe, horse sashimi, vinegar motsu, and an appetizer (fried daikon) which were all very delicious. The staff were friendly, especially Yoshimura-san, who provided excellent service. This was my first time in Hakata and I have come to love it.

The deliciousness and the staff's service were both excellent. I definitely want to go back when I visit Fukuoka again.
