I had plans to meet up with friends in Umeda in the afternoon, so I decided to have an early brunch at Hiro Coffee in Daimaru Umeda. Whenever I come here, I always go for the Espresso Yuzu, which is espresso mixed with yuzu syrup. I love it so much that I haven't tried any other coffee here (laughs). As for the sandwich, I tried the Pumpkin and Steamed Chicken Graham Sandwich, which felt like a preview of autumn. The mustard added a nice kick, and the combination of pumpkin, nuts, and steamed chicken was really delicious. The place tends to get crowded, so I usually go right when they open to avoid waiting. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back.

I went after a long time. It was a weekday, so it was pleasantly empty and easy to spend time. I like it. Sometimes I crave the roast beef sandwich, so I come here. The garlic butter and blueberry that come with it are really delicious and amazing. I will come back when I feel like eating it again. The iced coffee is fruity.

I went around 13:00 and was able to get in without waiting! It had been so long that I barely remembered, but the chocolate cake I had always found delicious and the sandwich I ordered did not disappoint. The chocolate cake was just as tasty as I remembered, and I immediately thought I wanted to come back tomorrow! It wasn't the super rich kind of chocolate cake that's been popular lately, but a cake with a refined aroma. And next to it was the blackcurrant ice cream (which was a generous portion!). The ice cream and black coffee were a perfect match for the cake!

The lightly sweetened red bean paste and mascarpone with matcha powder on the thick-sliced toast was delicious. The toast was very thick, so it was very filling. It also came with homemade coffee jelly and whipped cream. The total for the small red bean paste toast and coffee was 1,595 yen.

Coffee shop with branches in Suita, Nishinomiya, and Itami, among others. Visited their Umeda branch. I have been to their stores in Nishinomiya before. They offer a wide variety of menu items including coffee, bread, hamburgers, and scones. This time, I visited for the coffee. I ordered an iced café latte. I was hesitant to enter at first, but if the wait was too long, I planned to leave. The manager or someone similar made eye contact with me and explained the situation well, allowing me to enter smoothly. It's always nice to receive attentive customer service. The café latte had a generous amount of milk, which I liked. They also gave extra syrup, so you can add as much as you like. It was a great place that really hit the spot. I will definitely come back.

It's full, but I'm tired so I'll wait here. ♢ The special mango juice is rich and has chunks of fruit in it, so I suck it up with a thick straw like tapioca. It's usually not too crowded in the early evening (about half full), making it comfortable to spend time there. I go there quite often. I'm happy that I can drink plenty of iced coffee from a decanter. The cheesecake (firm) is delicious, and the raspberry sherbet or ice cream that comes with it has a nice acidity to it and is also delicious.

I visited the restaurant for lunch. It was crowded, so I registered on the waiting list system and wandered around until I was called. I ordered the French toast salad and a blended ice coffee. The salad came with a cold edamame soup. The French toast had a nice balance of sweetness and was fluffy and delicious. I'm not a big fan of coffee, so I couldn't really appreciate the quality of it. Coffee can be quite expensive, you know.

This was my first time visiting, but it seems quite popular among the people of Osaka. It has a nice level of sophistication and is a calm cafe without being too formal. The staff are also very polite. I usually don't expect much from cakes at chain cafes, but the cake here was delicious. The cafe au lait was cute, tasty, and satisfying.

I'm on a 2-day trip from Osaka to Hyogo, and I had researched this coffee chain that roasts its own beans and has shops in both Osaka and Hyogo. I was looking forward to visiting Hiro Coffee, located on the 9th floor of Daimaru, directly connected to Osaka Station. The entrance with its stylish and cute decor caught my eye, especially the art depicting hands holding hands, emphasizing the importance of connections between people. I was warmly welcomed and told to choose any seat I liked, so I picked a cozy 2-seater in the back. The place was about 40% full, with mostly female customers. The modern color scheme and relaxing music created a great atmosphere. The menu featured a wide selection of coffee beans from partner farms, showcasing their dedication to quality in each cup. While they also offered food items like sandwiches and burgers, I was looking for the perfect cup of coffee before dinner in 2 hours. Hiro Coffee was founded in 1977 in Suita, Osaka, and this year marks their 45th anniversary. They had a special blend on the menu for this occasion, and I chose the medium roast blend. The detailed information about the coffee's origin and processing methods on the menu gave me confidence in my choice. The coffee was served in a warm-toned pot that matched the ambiance perfectly, with instructions on how to enjoy it adding to the experience. The coaster for the cup, made of linen and cotton like the pot, was also charming and added to the overall appeal. I ordered a straight black coffee for my first cup, and it was indeed warm and smooth. It had a fruity acidity (hints of berries and apples) followed by a rich, full-bodied finish, unlike any coffee I've had before. As I added a little sugar and milk to my second cup, it became even smoother and relaxing. The aroma of the beans lingered, making it a truly satisfying experience. The retail section displayed pastries, coffee beans, and take-out items before the checkout. I'll definitely make a stop here every time I'm in the Kansai region. I went to Hiro Coffee at Daimaru Umeda store. It is a coffee chain that is expanding in the northern part of Osaka. They recently opened a coffee bean shop in Osaka Station Marche as well. I wanted to drink delicious coffee at the store, so I ended up at Daimaru. It had been a while, so I ordered the classic items. I had their original blend coffee and the Daikoku cake. The coffee was served in a pot with a tea cozy. The jute cozy made it look cool and like a proper coffee shop. The coffee was served at a slightly warm temperature, not too hot. It was warm enough to enjoy black. I got some milk just in case, but I only used a little. The chocolate cake was not as sweet as I expected, and it was firm enough that only the part I pierced with a fork came off easily. The accompanying wood strawberry sorbet was smooth and had a nice texture. The combination was a bit strange, simple yet somehow looked like a sloppy arrangement. I thought the Daikoku cake was enough on its own. Both items had more than enough quantity, making it a good value for the price.

I went to a popular coffee shop with in-house roasting at Daimaru Umeda. I remember going to the Itami branch for a coffee break on a weekday. The place was packed, so I had to wait a bit before getting a seat. There was a chocolate cake I wanted to try called Tres Pastelera Okura, which I saw on TV before. The coffee selection was extensive, with various types of coffee and coffee drinks. They also had sandwiches and desserts to choose from. I couldn't decide, but ended up ordering Tres Pastelera Okura for ¥800, Double Nut Mocha Ice for ¥740, Espresso Yuzu for ¥700, and Shrimp Avocado Sandwich for ¥950. The open kitchen was visible from my seat, and watching the coffee being made was captivating. The Double Nut Mocha tasted as delicious as I imagined, with a rich coffee flavor and a nutty aroma. The Okura cake was smaller than expected, and it came with a strawberry sorbet, which I personally didn't care for. It was refreshing but not what I had in mind. I wished it had more sweetness and a richer chocolate taste. The Espresso Yuzu was surprisingly good, with the combination of coffee and yuzu syrup working well together. The Shrimp Avocado Sandwich was consistently tasty, and I could easily finish it even after lunch. Coffee and sweets really do go to separate stomachs! Overall, the coffee was excellent as expected.

Blue Mountain teacher Aoyama's assigned editor, Rin Mante, decided to have breakfast at a place called Mandelin for his birthday. The Mandelin served there is a Rainforest Alliance certified product developed in collaboration with a local supplier, and it is said to be quite delicious.
