I bought some takeout gyoza from Osho in Osaka and then picked up some snacks from a nearby place. I got a Chocolate Mille-Feuille (440 yen tax included), a Cassis Raspberry (460 yen tax included), and a Chestnut Shortcake (440 yen tax included). They were all delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Basque cheesecake is the best-selling item at Shukure, a cake shop with four locations in Higashi-Osaka. The main store along the river offers cake buffets at affordable prices, such as a round cake for 2550 yen. The Basque cheesecake slice costs 360 yen, while a whole cake is 1360 yen. Although it is delicious, it doesn't quite have the traditional Basque cheesecake texture. It has a creamy and rich cream cheese flavor with a slightly soufflé-like texture. The surface is burnt like a Basque cheesecake, but it could be renamed as "lightly burnt cream cheese cake." Overall, it is a good value for the price.

My dad turned ◯◯ years old, so I bought two cakes to celebrate. I chose a strawberry mille-feuille for 365 yen. It has layers of pie crust with cream in between and strawberries on top. I love pie, but it tends to crumble when I eat it (laughs). It took some effort, but I finally finished eating it! It's nice to have cake once in a while, right?

Under the elevated structure near Hanoi Kosaka Station, there is a cake shop. There are many restaurants around here, ranging from chain stores to individual shops, making it really overwhelming. Maybe there are many universities around here... it's quite enviable. The location is great being right in front of the station. The shop is more like a corner store than a full-fledged establishment. The exposed showcase displays many beautiful cakes. The staff looks cold, so it must be tough for them. I bought the Pistachio Chocolat and Berry Rare Cheesecake. Both are long and slim square cakes, quite large in size. The rare cheesecake has a layer of buttercream to bring out the acidity of the berries and the freshness and richness of the cheesecake. The balance of sweetness, acidity, and texture was excellent. The Pistachio Chocolat has a nice aroma and is a delicious cake with a balanced taste. I didn't have high expectations, but when I tried them, they turned out to be high-quality cakes. They also have good products that seem suitable for souvenirs, making it a convenient shop!

It seems like the trend of naming roll cakes after local areas, possibly influenced by the March 2019 Dojima Roll, is going strong! Here we have the "Hishiyama Nishi Roll" named after a high-end residential area in Higashi Osaka. The shop is a well-known chain store, so the taste should be reliable! I remember bringing one home after a 5 Rangers drinking party before, and it was delicious! So today, I decided to bring it as a souvenir for my visit!

<'19/1 14th> As a reminder... Shortly after New Year's, despite having a full meal at U.K. Wild Cats, the urge for dessert struck. After debating between a mille-feuille and a choux pastry, I decided on the latter and headed to this shop. I purchased the following items (tax included): - Choux Pastry (¥230) - Tokachi Camembert Cheese Cake (¥300) - Round Milk Cream Cake (¥480) The choux pastry was a well-balanced blend of cookie and cream flavors. Delicious and satisfying for a separate stomach.

▽Hishiya-nishi Roll 1080 yen▽ (July 2018)
Named after the Hishiya-nishi area where the main store is located, this roll cake has a fluffy and moist texture with just the right amount of sweetness. The generous amount of cream sandwiched inside is smooth, mild, and has a milky flavor, making it quite delicious.
▼Impressions▼ (July 2018)
This is a branch of a popular cake shop quietly operating along the road leading north from Kintetsu Nagase Station to the Hishiya-nishi area. Known for their Hishiya-nishi Roll, they offer a variety of cakes and baked sweets. This Kosaka Station store is located on the north side under the Kintetsu Kawachi-Kosaka Station. It is a shop that only sells products, with various items on display. I had visited their Fuse Station branch before and this time I purchased the Hishiya-nishi Roll mentioned above. The taste was as described, with both the cake and cream being quite delicious. The cream, in particular, had a mild and pleasant flavor. I would like to visit the main store in Hishiya-nishi if I have the chance.

<October '17 11th time> As a memo... On the way back from Tonkatsu Hiroki, I bought the following items (tax included). ・Cookie Choux Cream (¥230) A pastry made with cookie dough and choux pastry, filled with plenty of custard cream. ・New York Cheesecake (¥350) A recommended dish made with cream cheese and sour cream, baked moistly. I liked the slight acidity of the custard cream in the choux cream.

As a memo... I enjoyed delicious tonkatsu at Hiroki-san and headed south. For dessert that day, I was in the mood for Shukure. I bought the following items (tax included):
- Miroir Chocolat (¥415) - A shining cake with layers of black cocoa sponge and chocolate cream ganache.
- Tokachi Camembert Cheese Cake (¥300) - A cake with a soft and melting texture made with Camembert cheese from Tokachi, Hokkaido.
The new menu item, Miroir Chocolat, had a delightful depth of chocolate flavor. The classic Camembert cheese cake also had a pleasing texture. Delicious.

As a reminder... This shop, which stays open until relatively late, is very convenient. I often find myself torn between this place and Sha Noir Higashi Osaka, which is also open until 11pm. I see a few salarymen who have finished work stopping by. I purchased the following items:
- Oranje (¥380)
- Tokachi Camembert Cheese Cake (¥300)
- Cookie Choux Cream (¥230)
I prefer desserts with a light texture and mild sweetness.

As a memo... One of the cake shops that I am grateful for staying open late is this one. It's located near Kawachikosaka Station and it seems like many male office workers stop by to buy souvenirs. I purchased the following items (tax included): - Tiramisu made with Hokkaido Mascarpone (¥395) - Strawberry Mille-feuille (¥360) → Time sale available (¥310) I personally like the custard cream here which has a slightly rich taste. The cakes leave a satisfying aftertaste.

As a reminder... After finishing some errands in the Hachinohe-no-Sato area, I decided to have Italian food on my way back. Still having a bit of room in my stomach, I debated between Chanoir and Sucré. I ended up choosing Sucré! I purchased the following items (tax included):
- Strawberry Mille-feuille (¥360): Crispy pastry, strawberries, custard cream. A perfect combination of flavors in a cake.
- Tiramisu (¥395): The taste has been slightly updated. It has a mild sweetness and a rich espresso flavor that is soothing.

Purchased as a souvenir! Shukure cakes! I passed by a guard under the station at Kosaka station while participating in the rape blossom bar event with MyRebi's Iijima-san, and it looked delicious, so I bought it as a souvenir! Recently, I have retired and focused on pure souvenirs! Mont Blanc, chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake, strawberry and white chocolate, Mirowaz chocolate, well, it's a famous cake shop! The reaction of my daughter and grandchildren was very good. It was very delicious! Thank you for the meal~!

Kintetsu Nara Line: Get off at Kosaka Station, and there is a shop right on the north side. Today, September 22nd, I wandered around Kosaka and decided to head home with some treats from Shucré. There is also a shop inside Fuse Station, where I tried their popular "Mont Blanc." The staff there were very friendly, and I was told that Mont Blanc is a popular choice. They also had a seasonal limited edition "Pumpkin Mont Blanc" for autumn. Shifting focus, I tried Shucré's cheesecake, which cost 950 yen (tax included) as of September 2016. When I opened it at home, I was impressed by how beautiful the cheesecake looked. It had a hint of a burnt crust on top of a white cheesecake, giving it a lovely appearance. The cheesecake was dense and had a refreshing citrusy flavor, possibly from lemon. Even if you're not a fan of cheese, this cheesecake is still enjoyable. I used to not like cheese, but over time, I grew to appreciate it, and now I love cheesecake. The texture of this cheesecake was creamy and smooth, and it tasted delicious.

When I went to Kosaka for work, I happened to see a cake shop near the station in the evening. I casually peered into the showcase and noticed the word "Sale" on some of the cakes. I was delighted that the cake shop was having a sale. I chose the "Lemon and Black Tea Cake." It was discounted by about 50 yen. The cake had layers of lemon and black tea flavors. The refreshing acidity of the lemon hits your taste buds first, followed by the aroma and taste of black tea. The shop frequently changes its offerings and offers sales as closing time approaches. If you live near this station, it might be worth peeking into the showcase occasionally.
