The other day, when I was looking at Tabelog, I found out that Tometeba Hakata Ekimae store has been renovated, so as a fan of Tometeba, I decided to go there right away. It was my first time visiting this store, but it's only a 3-minute walk from Hakata Station Hakata Exit. It's on the 3rd floor of the ACOM building. The sign is big, so I found it quickly. It's nice to be close to the station~(^▽^)♪ I usually go to the Daimyo and Nishidori stores, so this was my first time at the Hakata store. I noticed that the customer base varies depending on the store. There were a lot of businessmen at this store. Of course, I wanted to eat the famous Tometeba, but they were also promoting fresh seasonal fish. They emphasized that you can enjoy fresh fish at a reasonable price, unique to Hakata. They apparently deliver directly from Nagahama. On that day, they recommended Buri Kama, so I decided to order it. I also ordered a sashimi platter to go with it. (The sashimi platter was 980 yen for 2 people.) I tried it. Oh... Delicious(;д;) I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness! It's so tasty! Tometeba is truly delicious. The outside is crispy, the inside is juicy, the meat separates easily, and the seasoning is well-balanced but not too strong, so you can eat as many as you want. Yummy(;д;) Tometeba with a strong salt flavor is delicious. It's even tastier when eaten hot. But even when it cools down, it's still delicious. I also love dipping cabbage in the Tometeba sauce. My friend who came with me was impressed♪ It's a taste that you can't replicate at home, right~ Today, there was a surprise of fish, and I was happy to be able to eat delicious Tometeba as well~ I like that even though it's a chain store, each store has different recommended items, and you can enjoy well-prepared dishes for the price, so I like it. Next time I go, it's starting to feel like autumn, so I want to eat a hearty motsunabe. Thank you for the meal!

It's located a little less than a 5-minute walk from the Tsukushi exit, across the street from the traffic light. I had reserved a course with horse sashimi, so I started with all-you-can-drink. The difference between the highball and one chicken wing in Nagoya and one chicken wing in Nagoya is the saltiness when you put it in your mouth. In Nagoya, the flavor is more like sweet soy sauce, but I realized that this one was seasoned with a seasoning containing "salt." I stopped by on a whim and tried the hot, crispy, juicy fried chicken wings with sweet sauce, and the flavorful soy sauce chicken wings, which I really liked. For dessert, I had egg over rice. The rich egg was delicious. ^_^

I stayed near Hakata Station and used this restaurant. I ordered a few pieces of "Tome Teba" and "Ama Teba" along with a Caesar salad and a draft beer. Later, I added items like chicken karaage and Kyushu soy sauce grilled yam. The menu includes horse meat dishes, motsunabe, and famous dishes from various regions of Kyushu, which is fun to look at. The "Tome Teba" was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned perfectly to go well with beer. The "Ama Teba" had a sweet and savory sauce, which was also delicious. Apparently, on Mondays and Tuesdays, you can get one piece for 80 yen, so I might end up ordering a lot if I come on those days.

We had a course with Mizutaki and Tomedehu wings at this restaurant. The table was reserved for a drinking party, and we sat at a window table near the intersection that had collapsed. The view from the 3rd floor wasn't great. The 120-minute all-you-can-drink party began. The course for the day was the Kyushu herb chicken Hakata Mizutaki course, consisting of 10 dishes including a small dish of Mimigar. There were about 4 types of horse sashimi, including fillet, loin, and marbled meat. The Caesar salad was good, and the two Tomedehu wings were delicious. The sweet wing was a bit too sweet. The chicken nanban was tasty, while the sweet potato tempura was just okay. The chicken Mizutaki was quite delicious, although it seemed a bit difficult to make the chicken mince. I didn't try the mentaiko porridge or the dessert. Overall, as usual, I'm full. The chicken nanban and Mizutaki were delicious. I always love Tomedehu wings. Thank you for the meal!

Category: [Traveling in the northern half of Kyushu] Arrived in Hakata in December 2015. However, on this day... New Year's Eve... no matter how many times I called, it was either closed or fully booked... except for this one restaurant that was open. Tomete Haba Hakata Ekimae Store (Tometeba). I had forgotten that my last accommodation did not include dinner... It's a chain izakaya, but it serves Kyushu cuisine. I am grateful that it was open... but why is this restaurant so empty!? It's okay. I've never been so happy to see Heartland beer. Tomete Haba (chicken wings) 1 piece for 149 yen, Ama Haba (chicken wings) 1 piece for 149 yen. These are just chicken wings, but... no, no, no... these are really delicious! The seasoning and grilling are perfect! Chicken Ponzu Gyoza for 580 yen. Wait a minute... this is also really delicious... but... Horse meat namero-style for 680 yen. This is also perfect for snacking... Mentaiko lotus root for 600 yen. Nice... this is really nice... Motsunabe (tripe hot pot) for 1080 yen. It's cheap... It seems that chain restaurants in Hakata are quite high quality... It's strange that this restaurant was empty on New Year's Eve... but I'm grateful.

I'll have a light drink in Hakata. I was curious about the karaage that won the highest gold award at the National Karaage Grand Prix. It's past 6 pm, so the restaurant is still quiet. It looks like a party is about to start. The staff seems busy preparing. Since I'm alone, I sit at the counter. The restaurant is spacious, and the counter is comfortable. It's not fancy, but it's calming. I order 2 pieces of "tome teba" and 2 pieces of "ama teba". It's 160 yen per piece (tax included). The menu also explains how to eat chicken wings. Ah, it's easier to eat this way. While waiting with my beer and vinegar, the karaage arrives. The chicken wings are smaller than I imagined. I could probably eat about 10 of these. I follow the instructions on how to eat them. They're delicious. The "tome teba" has a spicy salt and pepper flavor. The "ama teba" has a yakitori sauce flavor. Both are tasty. I wish I had ordered about 10 pieces. The price of the alcohol and snacks is not high for an izakaya, but it doesn't feel like a good deal. The party course seems more reasonable. I'll definitely come back for more chicken wings!

This was my third visit to the restaurant. They had a campaign where if you ate a certain number of chicken wings in September for their 10th anniversary, you could eat for free in October. We went with four people and ordered salads, sweet and spicy wings, and salted wings. We just kept eating! We were all focused on eating the wings and crab legs, not saying much (laughs). The salted wings had a delicious salty flavor that made you want to keep eating more. The sweet and spicy wings had a sweet and savory taste, which helped change up the flavors so we didn't get tired of just eating the salted wings. We found that a good ratio was 70% salted wings and 30% sweet and spicy wings. We're looking forward to October now. In the end, we ate a total of 35 wings with just the four of us. We could have eaten more (laughs).

I had heard that the chicken wings were delicious, so I had the image of a yakitori restaurant in mind, but the interior of the restaurant was quite stylish like an izakaya. I was also pleased to see that this month they were having an Osaka Fair, featuring dishes from Osaka. Without hesitation, I ordered my favorite dish, ginger tempura. I have been living in Fukuoka for 11 years, and this was the first time I had tried ginger tempura as a finished product. In Osaka, ginger tempura is a staple that you can find in supermarkets and tempura shops. In Fukuoka, I have never seen it before, so I used to buy pickled ginger and fry it at home. It takes time to prepare at home, with the pickling process and all... The fact that the owner or chef recognized it as an Osaka specialty is great! It's a classic tempura dish loved by everyone in Osaka, so it will surely be praised by people from Osaka living in Fukuoka. As for the taste, I tried various dishes and overall, it was a bit on the rich side. Maybe it's because Osaka people prefer lighter flavors. However, the atmosphere created by the staff was great, and I had a enjoyable Sunday night. This restaurant has become one of the places I definitely want to visit again.

During my business trip, I tried a dish called "tomehane" for the first time. I wasn't a fan of chicken skin before, but I found this one surprisingly delicious. It was soft and not rubbery like I expected. The taste was great, but not as addictive as some people claim. I also tried the sauce, and I think I prefer the salt flavor as the staff recommended. I thought the chicken would be thicker, but it was still enjoyable. Unfortunately, I don't remember what else I ate there because I didn't write this review right away. Lesson learned!

I went to the Hakata Ekimae branch of Men-tebasaki, where you can enjoy delicious chicken wings. I had some time to kill before meeting up with a friend who was coming by JR, so I decided to use it to myself. I started off with a Renkon Kinpira and a beer. Since I had about an hour to spare, I mainly ordered a set of three delicious chicken wings. While waiting for the wings, I enjoyed some Takowasa with my beer. After the wings, I also added some Satsuma-age and Karaage with spicy mentaiko. It was a bit lonely drinking by myself, but I still had a good time.

It's been a while since I went to eat chicken wings with a friend. It was a good idea to make a reservation because the place was almost full when we arrived. Looking at the menu, I saw that they had won the highest gold award in the 2015 Karaage Grand Prix. If you order 6 pieces in celebration of the award, you get a free beer. I prefer salt flavor, while my friend likes sauce. We ordered 6 pieces each and got 2 free beers. We also tried the new item on the menu, the Chicken Ponzu Gyoza. It was made with herb chicken and was really delicious. I forgot to take a picture before eating it, but it was so good that I would give it 4.5 stars. Next time, I'll make sure to order the gyoza before getting too full.
