Hello. I'm Shunmama. For lunch on November 1st, I ordered from "Sanuki Udon Imayuki" in Ogimachi, which has been open every day since November. I ordered the Sesame Sauce Meat Miso Udon (hot) with half-boiled egg tempura and bamboo tempura mixed noodles. The aroma of this mixed dish is amazing from the moment you start mixing it. It's delicious for sure! I always top it with half-boiled egg tempura. I personally think this combination is the best. Am I the only one who self-praises this? You can choose between warm or cold noodles, so I recommend trying both. I enjoyed it and finished it in no time. Thank you for the delicious meal. This was my 34th bowl of udon in 2022. #OgimachiLunch #OgimachiUdon #HigashiUmedaLunch #HigashiUmedaUdon #SanukiUdonImayuki #ImayukiUdon #SesameSauceUdon #SesameSauce #SesameSauceMeatMisoUdon #MeatMisoUdon #HalfBoiledEggTempura #ChikuwaTempura #BambooTempura

While staying in Umeda for work, I happened to come across this highly rated restaurant for lunch. Excited to try udon for the first time in Kansai, I asked the staff for a recommendation and they suggested the soy sauce udon, which came with a free large size option. The dish arrived quickly and had a nice presentation. I was instructed to mix in the soy sauce and slurp it up. The noodles had a decent texture, and the combination of soy sauce and lemon flavor was not bad. It didn't quite live up to the hype, but if this restaurant was nearby, I might consider going back. I look forward to trying more udon dishes in Kansai. Thank you for the meal!

On a Sunday afternoon, we walked into the restaurant with almost no wait. The nearby Asuro was too crowded, so we changed our plans and it was the right decision! I had Kashiwa Tempura Udon, which was delicious and had a strong bonito flavor. The noodles were firm and chewy. My companion had hot Curry Udon, which was also good but more on the smooth side. Overall, the balance of flavors was great and it was a tasty udon experience.

(Lunch set) Cold udon with raw egg topping ☆3.65, Soft-boiled egg tempura ☆3.45, Fish cake tempura ☆3.53, Rice with raw egg topping ☆3.45. This restaurant is a famous Sanuki udon shop that is selected as one of the top 100 udon shops in the Foodlog Udon WEST every year. The owner, originally from Kagawa Prefecture, opened this shop with the desire to provide authentic Sanuki udon that he has been eating since childhood. I arrived at the restaurant at 11:15 am on a weekend and was the first in line to wait for the opening. There were only 3 people waiting outside when the shop opened, surprisingly not too crowded. I ordered the lunch set (soft-boiled egg tempura, fish cake tempura, cold udon, rice with raw egg topping). The food was served after a short wait. Let's dig in. Delicious! The noodles and broth are amazing. The noodles have a strong chewy texture and a perfect balance of chewiness. The broth has a deep flavor with condensed umami from dried baby sardines, mackerel flakes, and kelp. Choosing the cold udon with cold broth was the right decision. The rice with raw egg topping and tempura were average. Next time I visit the area, I would like to try just the udon. I would like to try the butter and raw egg udon and cold udon with sweet fried tofu next time. Thank you for the meal.

I've been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while but never got the chance until now! The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming, almost like being at home. They had the Hanshin Tigers baseball game on TV, which I know nothing about, but it was interesting to see the regular customers watching so intently. The food was very authentic and reminded me of a British pub, but much more peaceful. I made a mistake and ordered croquettes instead of fried tofu, but it turned out to be a great combination with the udon noodles. I always love their kitsune udon, with its sweet fried tofu and flavorful broth with a clear kelp taste. The noodles are soft yet chewy, which is just how I like them. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I really enjoy the hot broth and soft noodles. It seems like I'm the only one who really appreciates the soup and broth here.

I walked from Osaka Station. It took about 10 minutes, but I'm not sure of the exact walking time because I stopped at a place I wanted to visit along the way. I might get lost without looking at a map, as there are many big roads mixed together. I tried to visit a few times during lunchtime, but the line was too long so I gave up. I visited alone around 6:00 PM on Saturday night. When I entered, I was the only one there. It wasn't too crowded at night, or maybe it was the time, but I was guided to a spacious seating area. I ordered the "Kashiwa Tempura Udon" for 900 yen. I chose to have it served hot, but you can also choose cold. The kashiwa tempura comes separately, which is nice. It stays crispy. I actually ordered some alcohol, so I ate the kashiwa tempura like a side dish. The udon has a clear broth that smells really good. Eating it, you feel enveloped in a gentle taste. It was delicious. You can pay with PayPay. The staff's service was also good. Thank you for the meal! (*´ω`*)

The large portion was more than expected and great value for money. The main udon noodles were good with a nice texture, but not outstanding. However, the chikuwa tempura was amazingly delicious. I would like to try a different menu next time!

I went on a business trip and visited this delicious-looking udon restaurant ✨ The noodles were thin, flexible, and tasty ❤️ The broth had a gentle flavor ✨ The seating was spacious, allowing for a relaxing meal in a cozy atmosphere ☺️ I wish there was one nearby, but if I come back on another business trip, I would love to eat here again ✨

"Kashiwa Tenkake Udon" at "Sanuki Udon Imayuki" for 950 yen. This udon has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog multiple times in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022. The owner, originally from Kagawa, creates freshly boiled udon with a combination of "Ibuki Island dried fish," "mackerel flakes," and "Rishiri kombu." The broth is the key to Kansai-style udon, and you can truly taste the essence of the broth. The noodles have a perfect firmness and are enjoyable to slurp. The Kashiwa tempura served with the udon adds another layer of flavor. The aroma of the Kashiwa tempura blends with the wheat noodles, creating a delightful combination. For those from eastern Japan, be sure to try Kansai-style udon with a flavorful broth. Thank you for the delicious meal!

The dashi broth is very clear and refreshing, and incredibly delicious. The noodles are also smooth and have a nice chewiness, not too thick or thin, and very tasty. The tempura dishes coming on a separate plate is a great touch. I definitely want to go back again.

During the corona period, I often used this restaurant for lunch while working from home. I visited after a long time. The lunch set comes with a free upgrade to a large size, and it also includes a raw egg over rice or pickled vegetables. Since I hadn't eaten breakfast that day, I ordered the special large size. Due to the hot weather, I prefer to eat Sanuki udon cold. The tempura chikuwa (fish cake) was delicious. However, the soft-boiled egg tempura had easily peeling batter. It would be even better if they offered a set with both kashiwa (chicken) tempura and chikuwa tempura! Thank you for the meal!

The lunch was crowded, so I had passed by a few times. But when I peeked inside, there were empty seats, so I decided to go in. Many people had already ordered and were waiting. I ordered the regular Oyako-Ten with Hiyahiya (cold) Tamagokake Gohan. It came with Toriten and Hanjuku Tamago-Ten. The cold udon noodles were easy to eat and the smooth Sanuki udon was delicious. I usually don't like Tamagokake Gohan, but the TKG here was surprisingly delicious. I mixed the Toriten with the Oyako-Don, and the Hanjuku Tamago with the W Tamago-Don, and enjoyed them together. Next time, I'll challenge myself to get a larger portion of udon.

I stumbled upon this place and decided to visit. Luckily, there was a seat available right away without any wait. I decided to try something a little unique, so I chose the Kama-tama Butter Udon (850 yen). The staff were very caring and I felt grateful for their hospitality. I eagerly awaited my udon to arrive. When it did, it came with butter and egg on top of the udon noodles. I quickly added some soy sauce and took a bite. It was described as a Japanese-style carbonara, and it definitely had a strong black pepper flavor. The warm and friendly voice of the staff added a nice touch to the atmosphere. It was a pleasant lunch experience, so +0.1.

On the day of the Midsummer Day of the Ox, I visited a restaurant and decided to have udon instead of eel because eel can be a bit heavy. The restaurant was spacious, and I saw several families with children coming in, giving it a somewhat pastoral atmosphere. It wasn't too noisy, and I was able to enjoy a leisurely lunch. I ordered a hot kitsune udon, and the fried tofu was incredibly delicious... I want to take it home and eat it over rice... It was so fluffy, unlike any kitsune udon I've had before. I don't think I can be satisfied with regular kitsune udon anymore.

Sannuki Udon Imayuki is located near Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line - Ogomachi Station, passing through Ogomachi Park. In Osaka, there are not only typical udon restaurants but also famous Sanuki udon shops. One of them is here. Despite the unexpected name, the interior of the restaurant has a lively atmosphere, and they offer affordable lunch sets. I ordered the Parent and Child Tempura + Kake Udon set for 1050 yen. The Parent and Child Tempura includes a combination of chicken tempura and half-boiled egg tempura. I chose the Kake Udon with cold noodles and cold broth, known as "hiya-hiya," and opted for the large serving at the same price as the regular serving, which was 450g. Additionally, you can choose between pickled vegetables rice or egg over rice, so I chose pickled vegetables rice considering the half-boiled egg tempura. This summarizes the content of the lunch set with plenty of information. The chilled Kake Udon was a delight in this scorching heat. The noodles had a firmer texture and the broth was ice-cold, sealing in the flavor slightly as it cooled down, resulting in a somewhat subtle taste, but that was inevitable due to the need for refreshment in the heat. For a more authentic Sanuki udon experience, I recommend choosing the "hiya-atsu" option. The tempura was perfectly fried, but lacked seasoning, so it also had a mild flavor. It's best to use the condiments on the table to enhance the taste. Ordering a set can sometimes distract from the enjoyment of each dish, but everything was undeniably delicious. It's a great udon shop to visit regularly, and it's enviable how there are Sanuki udon restaurants scattered all over Osaka.

I used to go to this restaurant for lunch a lot in the past. When I visited after 5 years, I found out that it had been selected as one of the top 100 udon restaurants. I didn't know that I had been a regular customer at a top 100 restaurant all along. Anyway, the calm atmosphere of the restaurant and the friendly young staff were just as I remembered. On this day, I ordered the kashiwa tempura cold udon. The chewy noodles paired perfectly with the broth that had just the right amount of flavor. The kashiwa tempura, fried to a perfect size, added a delightful balance to the dish. Despite not being in a prime location far from Osaka Station, I left the restaurant feeling grateful that they had managed to survive through the pandemic.

On a hot day, I felt like eating cold udon noodles. I ordered a lunch set with rice topped with a raw egg at a popular Sanuki udon restaurant. The lunch rush is always crowded at this place, but today I was able to get in just in time without waiting. The noodles had a firm texture typical of Sanuki udon, and the broth was light yet flavorful. I enjoyed it very much. There are various udon menu options, so I look forward to trying them next time.

Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line "Ogimachi Station" 2A exit is a 6-minute walk away. Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line "Nakazakicho Station" 1st exit is a 6-minute walk away. JR Loop Line "Tenma Station" is a 7-minute walk away. Osaka Metro Midosuji Line "Umeda Station" and Tanimachi Line "Higashi-Umeda Station" are a 7-minute walk away. This restaurant has excellent access from all stations. In the summer, I crave udon noodles! From the affordable lunch set to the special half-cooked egg tempura + fish cake tempura + udon noodles for 1000 yen, including a special egg over rice set. First, I tried the udon noodles. The clear broth is incredibly delicious. It cools down my body. The udon noodles are smooth with a firm texture, very tasty. As I eat the fish cake tempura and egg tempura, the batter and oil blend into the broth, enhancing the flavor. The egg over rice is also delicious, and I almost finished all the broth. My body felt refreshed, and I was able to work energetically in the afternoon. Instagram ID: kuidaore.8.

A shop that can also be used as an udon izakaya! I tried the shoyu udon here, and the dashi broth is outstanding... Next time, try the kake udon! Total cost was 2600 yen.
- Kashiwa tempura shoyu udon: 950 yen. The noodles are smooth with a nice firmness and go down easily. It might be better to eat them with the broth! The kashiwa tempura is juicy and has a subtle flavor.
- Tamago tempura: 200 yen
- Croquette: 400 yen. The croquette is sweet and delicious even without sauce.
- Bottled beer: 600 yen
- Lemon sour

-Tokushima Udon Imayuki - Cold Lemon Udon. ¥900
After finishing a training session, I visited Imayuki, a place I had been wanting to go to once summer arrived. I chose the summer limited edition Cold Lemon Udon. Since I was the first customer of the day, it was served quickly. The udon noodles had a nice firm texture, and the ice-cold broth was perfect for a hot day. The acidity of the lemon added a summery touch. I recommend adding the lemon at the right moment, as leaving it too long can make the taste too strong. The walls were covered with signatures of famous people, which was fun to look at. If you have the chance, be sure to stop by....

◆Report content: Ate "Hiya-hiya Lemon Udon" at "Sanuki Udon Imayuki".
◆Menu: Hiya-hiya Lemon Udon + Tamago Kake Gohan (rice with raw egg) Large serving for ¥1000.
◆Impressions: Another day, another Osaka gourmet experience! This time, I visited Sanuki Udon Imayuki in Ogimachi, Osaka. (You can also get there from Umeda!) Known as the only place in Osaka where you can taste authentic Sanuki Udon, I decided to give it a try. I visited during lunchtime and tried out their lunch menu this time.
【Perfect for summer - Hiya-hiya Lemon Udon】They offer a total of 6 lunch options, each served with a choice of Tamago Kake Gohan or Takana Gohan. While all the udon options looked delicious, I opted for the Hiya-hiya Lemon Udon as it seemed perfect for the hot weather.
【Definitely a must-try dashi udon】The udon arrived with beautifully sliced lemons on top. I started with the broth, which had a refreshing cold dashi flavor with a strong essence of dried bonito. It's rare to find udon with such a flavorful dashi base. The acidity and bitterness of the lemon added a nice touch to the dish.
【Authentic Sanuki Udon noodles】Sanuki Udon noodles are thin and chewy. I ordered the large serving of 450g, and it was gone in no time as the noodles were so satisfying to eat. They also offer an extra-large serving of 600g, which I'm sure I could handle!
【A must-try - Tamago Kake Gohan】On the wall of the restaurant, there was a note praising the Tamago Kake Gohan. And once you take a bite, you'll understand why. I recommend drizzling the special soy sauce over the rice, adding the runny egg, and mixing it all together. It's addictively delicious!
If you're looking for a refreshing dish for summer, definitely give the Lemon Udon a try. Enjoy your meal!
