Sweets Top 100 Store #77 out of 100, located 3 minutes from Tameike-Sanno Station exit. A dazzling shop with a national flag as a landmark at the back of the alley. Visited at 2 pm, with one customer and one staff member in the shop. When there are customers, the staff will come out from the back to assist. The popular Tebekarai A can must be reserved by phone, and you need to provide the reservation number when picking it up. Reservations can be made starting from one week in advance, and must be picked up within the opening hours on the same day. Reservations for cookie cans can be checked on the shop's website. Besides Tebekarai, other items cannot be reserved, but there were still plenty of fresh cakes available during lunchtime. Purchased 5 pieces each of Sachertorte and fresh cream. Tebekarai prices have increased since July, with the A can priced at ¥4,320. No photos allowed inside the shop. Sachertorte @ ¥864 and fresh cream @ ¥216 were delicious, with the apricot jam under the chocolate adding a nice touch. The separate fresh cream complemented the rich cake well. The Tebekarai (cookies) A can @ ¥4,320 contains three types of buttery cookies packed tightly. Each cookie has a delicate and crumbly texture, with the chocolate cookie being bitter and the square cookie having a strong spice aroma. These cookies are irresistibly delicious. They are moist and rich when taken out of the refrigerator, with a concentrated umami flavor. I personally prefer this texture. Once you start eating, you can't stop because of their deliciousness. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I heard that there is a shop in Akasaka, Tokyo that sells the world's best cookies, so I went to check it out. The shop is called Tsukkabekkarai Kayanuma, run by a master pastry chef named Kayanuma who is certified by the Austrian government. They are known for their delicious Sachertorte as well. In short, it's a shop that sells delicious high-end cookies. I went there twice, once almost at closing time and they were sold out, and the second time during the day and they were sold out again. Apparently, they sell out by the morning. I couldn't make a reservation, but I really wanted to get some that day. So, I finally made a reservation on the second visit and was told I could pick them up three days later. I should have done that from the beginning. On my third visit, I finally got the cookies to take home and resisted the urge to eat them right away. The cookies were amazing, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The Sacher, plain, and butter cookies were like turning expired tea leaves into the best Royal Blend tea. The cookies would melt if not kept in the fridge, resembling raw chocolate, but still retaining the crumbly goodness of a cookie. The momentary burst of flavor spreading in your mouth and then delicately disappearing was truly an unforgettable experience. I realized why everyone is willing to pay a high price for them. Akasaka has many delicious sweets like Aono's chilled mitarashi and Shirotane's cheesecake. This shop is definitely worth visiting regularly and recommending to others.

I'm just complaining about the traditional Japanese sweets shop, but I predict that in 10 years, convenience stores and chain stores will be more popular for sweets. However, at this point, the moistness, aroma, and lingering taste of the cookies at this shop are truly exceptional. The price is high, but they are delicious.

Tucabecarai is a famous Austrian pastry shop. While their Sachertorte is delicious, their number one bestseller is their cookies. When I visited 30 minutes after opening on a weekday, the shop was already full and all cookies except for A cans were sold out. There are many great pastry shops like Murakami Kaishindo, but in my opinion, the cookies here are the most delicious I've ever had. Thank you for the wonderful treat.

On a regular afternoon, the cookies were already sold out, but there were a few Sachertortes left. They also had other desserts available. I ordered one with whipped cream on the side, and a small portion of rich whipped cream on top, which was just the right balance of size and taste. Although it was a bit pricey, the popularity of this dessert was clear. It was my first time trying it, and I could taste the perfect balance of sweetness. I usually don't like chocolate, but I could eat this one.

I visited the Australian confectionery shop, Tsukabekarai Kayanuma, located in Tameike-Sanno. They are known for their cookie tins. I made a reservation over the phone and went to pick up my order. I tried their Tebekarai, which had a luxurious feel and would be perfect as a gift. The cookies were moist and had an elegant taste, which I really enjoyed! I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited the shop around 3 pm on a weekday in the latter half of August, eagerly waiting for the end of the long summer break. The shop, located less than a 5-minute walk from Tameike-Sanno, had Austria's red and white national flags fluttering outside, with the store name written in gold letters on a black roof. Established in 1987 by Japanese Maître Kyanuma, the shop is officially recognized by the Austrian government. Unfortunately, the popular item of the day, the Tebekarai, was sold out. I learned from their website that it refers to a cookie tin, which requires reservation. The store exudes an exotic atmosphere with chandeliers, dark brown furniture, and an array of sweets. I purchased the Nusboigl for ¥432, a shiny roll bread filled with almond paste that had a hint of rum. It was a delicious and sweet treat, possibly my first taste of Austrian cuisine. I also learned about the famous Sachertorte cake from Vienna on their website, which I would love to try in the future.

In 2022, I decided to try a high-end dessert at a top 100 dessert shop from 2020 to 2017. I was hesitant due to the small size of the Sachertorte priced at 800 yen, but I finally mustered up the courage to visit. I went on a Saturday around 1:00 pm and found the shop empty except for one person. The interior was clean and had a luxurious feel. The staff kindly offered assistance if I had any questions about the products. Right by the entrance, I found the Sachertorte I was looking for, along with many other delicious cakes. I stuck to my original plan and only ordered the Sachertorte. The total came to 2,600 yen for three slices of Sachertorte and a side of whipped cream for 200 yen, including tax (2,808 yen). When I got home, I shared the Sachertorte with my family. The Sachertorte is a traditional Viennese chocolate cake with a chocolate sponge, apricot jam, and a special chocolate coating unique to the shop. Adding whipped cream truly enhanced the flavor. The chocolate in the Sachertorte was rich, and the apricot jam balanced out the sweetness perfectly. The whipped cream was creamy and sweet, leaving a refreshing aftertaste. It was delicious on its own as well. The combination of Sachertorte and whipped cream indeed made the dessert even more enjoyable. Overall, it had a deep and rich sweetness. Despite the high price, it was a dessert worth trying. Thank you for the treat.

This is a shop run by Mr. Kashiwazuma, a Japanese Meister officially recognized by Austria. I've always thought it was rare to find a sweets shop in Tameike-Sanno, so I decided to stop by since I was in Akasaka this time. It seems that the Tebeka Lai is very popular, and you need to make a reservation to purchase it. I became interested in trying it. There are various products lined up inside the store, including fresh cakes. This time, I purchased the Sachertorte, a traditional chocolate cake from Vienna. When it comes to Sachertorte, I remember when DEMEL first opened in Harajuku and caused a buzz in Japan. I also bought some whipped cream. The cake is made of chocolate sponge, topped with apricot jam, and coated with special chocolate. Sachertorte tends to be overly sweet, but this one has a refined sweetness that pairs well with the whipped cream, enhancing the deliciousness. It's a bit small in size, so I found it a bit lacking in quantity, but it was a delicious Sachertorte. Thank you for the meal.

Takeout [Foodlog Sweets TOKYO Top 100 Stores 2022] ■ A Can Cookies ¥4,320 (tax included) These cookies may be difficult to obtain in Tokyo. Located a 3-4 minute walk from Tameike-Sanno Station in Minato-ku, Tokyo, is "Zukka Bekarai Kayanuma." A Western confectionery shop that specializes in Viennese pastries. The owner chef has been awarded the title of Maestro, the highest honor for confectioners, by the Austrian government. Among the many famous sweets here, the most well-known is the "Te Bekarai" cookie. This cookie can comes in 4 sizes, and I purchased the smallest "A can" by making a reservation 2-3 days in advance. Purchasing with a reservation is relatively easy, while it would be almost impossible to buy on the same day. When making a purchase, make sure to confirm the reservation number and name provided at the time of booking. Perhaps these cookies are closely monitored to prevent resale. Also, purchases are cash only. The cookies are neatly packed without gaps, with vanilla, chocolate, and cinnamon flavors. The vanilla cookie uses plenty of almond powder, with a strong buttery flavor and a simple, rustic taste. The chocolate cookie uses original chocolate made in a Viennese workshop, with a soft, moist texture and a refined sweetness. The only square cinnamon cookie in the center has a hint of cinnamon flavor, accented by raspberry jam in the middle. It is a soft, moist cookie. While all of them have a simple taste, the richness of the butter adds an elegant flavor. However, with the smallest A can priced at ¥4,320 including tax, it is quite expensive, and whether the satisfaction justifies the cost is debatable. If you bring it as a souvenir, you will undoubtedly be recognized as a "sophisticated" individual.

I visited at 1:00 PM on Saturday. The baked goods were sold out. I got Apfelstrudel, Kaiserschokolade, Käsesahne, and Kirsh Torte to go. These cakes are not commonly eaten, but they seem to go well with wine and champagne. The chocolate cake was especially delicious.

Vienna pastry shop 'Zuckerbackerei Kayanuma' in Akasaka, Tokyo, run by an Austrian certified Meister who requires phone reservations. The owner chef is a nationally certified Conditorei Meister, and their popular items include the traditional Sacher Torte and cookies. This time, I received a delightful gift of assorted "Tea Bakery" cookies in a tin with the Habsburg family crest. The cookies come in three flavors: "Vanilla" with a buttery almond powder aroma, "Cinnamon" with raspberry jam and cinnamon, and "Chocolate" made with Vienna chocolate. All three cookies are light, melt-in-your-mouth, and delicious with a simple yet rich texture. Thank you for the feast!

I often give gifts from this shop as a farewell gift to my work colleagues who are at a turning point. This time, I also bought some sweets. I got an apple pie, cherry pie, and a Sachertorte. The Sachertorte is small and not too sweet. The whipped cream is also not too sweet, just right. I have a small appetite, so I appreciate the small portion size where each bite tastes delicious. By the way, this shop is known for their cookies.

Tsukabekkarai Kanuyama, a popular sweets shop in Tameike-Sanno. If you have a sweet tooth, you have probably heard of this place before. The name itself, Tsukabekkarai Kanuyama, has always intrigued me, but I never had the chance to visit until now when my gourmet friend brought back some treats for me. Thank you so much, Shibu-chan! I received the Teabekkarai variety. These cookies can only be purchased by reservation, and getting a reservation can be quite challenging due to the high demand. I was overjoyed to receive them. Upon opening the package, I was greeted by a luxurious black tin. It already looked incredibly cool. Inside, there were three types of cookies packed tightly. The three varieties were vanilla, cinnamon, and chocolate. I was pleasantly surprised by the texture - moist yet crispy. Isn't that amazing? The flavors were also delicious. The vanilla was simple and classic, with a strong buttery taste that was sweet and delightful. The chocolate was not overly rich, with an elegant sweetness and a hint of bitterness that added to the balance. I usually don't like cinnamon-flavored treats, but this cinnamon cookie was easy to eat and tasty. Although the quantity was quite generous, the cookies were small, making it easy to keep eating them. If you give these as a gift, they will surely be appreciated! It was fantastic!

I reserved a cookie tin and went for revenge. When I tried to open it, there was a blue paper inside. What's this? Store in the refrigerator? I've been carrying it around in the scorching sun. When I opened the can, it was packed with cookies. They were all delicious. Until I ate them, I had the image of expensive cookies, but they were reasonably priced.

I visited this shop near Akasaka-Mitsuke station after work. I had been wanting to visit for a while. While their cookies are famous, I was there for their renowned "Sachertorte." This historic Austrian cake has a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity from the apricot jam, and the subtle acidity prevents it from being too heavy, allowing the chocolate flavor to shine. I also want to try their cookies, so I will definitely be back.

On a regular day, 10 minutes before opening, there were already about 10 people lined up. It was my first visit, without any prior research, and the shop's signature cookies were not available today unless reserved in advance! Well, that's okay. I was in the mood for Sachertorte today anyway. And I was able to reserve cookies at the shop! Yay! I'm a beginner who has only tried Demel's Sachertorte before. When I opened the box at home, I thought, "It's small!" But after tasting it, I understood. The richness of the flavor makes this size sufficient. By the way, a strong tea or drink is a must with this rich dessert. I was satisfied with just half. I shared it with my husband. Personally, I prefer Linzertorte over Sachertorte. However, both are heavy desserts. The Linzertorte has a cinnamon flavor-packed dough with jam inside and almonds on top! For those who love intensely sweet treats, this is a must-try. It was a bit too strong for me. Oh no. Looking forward to trying the cookies next time! Thank you for the meal.

I got a takeout of Sachertorte. Luckily, I didn't have to wait in line much probably because it was a weekday. I've never had a Sachertorte this moist before. It was so delicious that the word "delicious" naturally came out from the first bite. I ate it with whipped cream, but you can also enjoy the taste of the cake itself without it.

My wife brought back cookies from a famous shop as a souvenir. The cool black tin exudes a sense of luxury. It has a strong cinnamon flavor and hints of baked senbei. It's delicious, but I felt it didn't quite live up to the hype. Maybe I set my expectations too high.

Cookie tins are sold out for today's batch. I thought I could get some if I lined up first thing in the morning, but it seems like you really need to make a reservation. I ended up buying a Sachertorte instead. It's smaller than I expected, but it tastes delicious. It's about the same size as a dollop of whipped cream. I made a reservation for a cookie tin and headed home.
