Business trip to Hakata. As usual, a "good job" gathering with my senior after work. Reserved the chef's special course for today. Originally supposed to be with our business partners, but they suddenly couldn't make it, so it ended up just being my senior and me. Since it was supposed to be with our business partners, we opted for the expensive course... but ended up consulting with the restaurant on what our partners like. They graciously accepted suggestions like monkfish and fresh fish shabu-shabu, which my senior enjoys. Despite the last-minute change in the number of guests, the restaurant staff warmly accommodated us, for which we are grateful. The main dish was shabu-shabu with yellowtail from Uwajima, with a luxurious broth made with clams. The generous clams produced a rich broth. The yellowtail was firm and delicious, served with a ponzu sauce mixed with watercress and green onions. We could have eaten as much as we wanted. The appetizer plate included 6 items! Seasonal nanohana greens, clam jelly, anglerfish stew, shrimp with wasabi mayo, sea urchin, and sweet potato tempura. The simmered dish featured Hokkaido octopus, winter melon, and taro cooked in a broth. Despite being lightly seasoned, the octopus was tender and tasty. The sashimi platter included bluefin tuna, flounder, goldeneye snapper, and firefly squid, with seared goldeneye snapper. The seasonal firefly squid was served raw. And a simmered monkfish dish. Monkfish is not commonly found in Kyushu, as it is mostly shipped to Tokyo. I didn't know that. Being able to enjoy such a high-end and rare delicacy like monkfish in Kyushu made me feel happy. The simmered monkfish was seasoned with a sweet soy sauce perfect for Kyushu. The tempura was also luxurious. Finally, there was a pot rice dish with monkfish and sea urchin piled on top of the rice in a pot!! They started searing the monkfish right in front of us. This was truly the height of luxury. The red miso soup with seaweed served alongside was a perfect match and made for a delicious meal.

We visited a course meal with all-you-can-drink option. There was a mishap with the air conditioning being broken, and it was hot in the private room... The staff seemed cool with fans, but we wished at least a fan was provided in our room... There are other things I want to write about, but overall, I do not recommend this restaurant due to the service.

Even though the course had ended, the atmosphere inside the restaurant was relaxed, allowing us to leisurely enjoy our time without feeling rushed to leave. The staff were all very friendly and had great personalities, so I really liked them. We used the customer-oriented course and all-you-can-drink option!

After the informal meeting with my former boss, another person joined us and we ended up having a sort of year-end party. We chose a restaurant near where a meeting was taking place. I noticed that there was a restaurant open on the first floor of the Hassenkaku Building, so we decided to go there. It was a table seat where you could close the door in front of you to make it a private room, but when the door was closed, it felt quite cramped and filled with cigarette smoke. Since it was near the entrance, it was cold if the door was left open. The menu was a la carte, so we didn't go for a set course. We wanted to choose what we wanted to eat. We ended up ordering quite a bit of fried food because one of us was really hungry. There were various types of hot pots on the menu, so it was fun to choose, but overall it was just a regular izakaya. Thank you for the meal.

At dinnertime, I went to Hakata Ukai Fukuoka Hakata Chikushiguchi store, a completely private room izakaya in Hakata-ku, Hakata-eki Higashi, Fukuoka City. This is a restaurant located right near Hakata Station. After finishing work in Hakata, I had a course meal at this restaurant, which was reserved by my business partner. I chose the Domestic Black Wagyu Beef Motsunabe Course for 5,499 yen, which comes with a 3-hour all-you-can-drink option, allowing me to relax and drink slowly. I started with a glass of draft beer. The meal began with appetizers, including chilled chawanmushi, Nanban-zuke of clams and sweet shrimp, and a Japanese-style salad with shiso dressing. Then, I had the option to choose between garlic salt or miso soup for the hot pot, and I chose miso. The motsu (offal) was hidden under the cabbage in the pot, and it was delicious. While waiting for the hot pot to finish cooking, I enjoyed the special roast beef, which was tender and seasoned perfectly. I also had grilled Hakata Jidori chicken with rock salt, Hokkaido-style fried chicken, and chose either zosui or champon noodles as the final dish. I opted for champon noodles, which paired well with the motsunabe soup. For dessert, I had yuzu sherbet, which was refreshing. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and full.

Last week, when I went on a business trip to Fukuoka, my friend made a reservation for a restaurant called Hakata Ukai. It was surprisingly close to both the station and the hotel I was staying at. The restaurant had just opened in January, so the building was clean and the interior had a beautiful modern Japanese atmosphere. Although the restaurant seemed quite spacious, each table was in a private room, so I felt comfortable and didn't have to worry about others around me. We ordered some dishes that my friend wanted to try: - Beef tongue shabu-shabu - Masu sushi tower - Simmered alfonsino - Sashimi platter All the dishes were delicious. Especially the beef tongue shabu-shabu that my friend wanted to try not only tasted great but also surprised us with its Instagram-worthy presentation. I couldn't help but take multiple photos of it. It was perfect as a beer snack. The masu sushi tower is apparently limited in quantity and may not always be available, but we were lucky to order the last one. It was also Instagram-worthy. The fish for the sushi changes depending on the daily catch, but all the fish was fresh and tasty. The simmered alfonsino had delicious meat and the sauce alone was so tasty that it went well with beer. The staff were friendly and even chatted with us, making us very satisfied. This restaurant seems suitable for various occasions, so I plan to use it for business dinners and parties in Fukuoka in the future. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Yesterday, I attended a friend's wedding near this restaurant, and there were some unexpected events that led us to seek help here. Originally, we were supposed to have the after-party at a different place, but the organizer mistakenly reserved the wrong date and we were left without a reservation for over 30 people. We frantically searched for a new venue, but it was almost 4 pm and most places were full or couldn't accommodate such a large group. As we were discussing outside, we saw what seemed to be a staff member entering the closed restaurant. We decided to try our luck and explained our situation. To our surprise, the staff member said, "If you can wait for about 30 minutes, we will open the restaurant for you." It was like a miracle. They had a private room that easily fit over 30 people, and the course menu included all-you-can-drink for less than 5000 yen. The organizer and I were truly relieved. We guided everyone in after 30 minutes, and we had a wonderful after-party. The food was delicious, especially the steamed hot pot with ponzu sauce. The variety of drinks for the all-you-can-drink option pleased everyone. The fact that it was all under 5000 yen was astonishing. The female staff members were very accommodating and friendly. I understand that it must have been difficult for them to prepare everything before the usual opening time. Thank you so much. I am truly grateful beyond words. Thank you to the manager and all the staff members. I will definitely visit again for a private occasion. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I had the opportunity to join a company drinking party at this restaurant the other day! It is located about 5 minutes from Hakata Station. The entrance, or rather the building itself, had a luxurious and imposing presence. The interior was all private rooms, giving off a modern Japanese atmosphere which I personally found very impressive. A female staff member guided us to our private room at the back of the restaurant. Drink orders were placed through a QR order system, very up-to-date. I started with a beer, of course! The main dish was motsunabe, which was truly delicious. There was a generous amount of motsu and the flavor was rich, just the way I like it. The sashimi was all fresh, with the tuna being particularly beautiful and delicious. We finished with ramen, which was as delicious as expected. The staff members were all very friendly and engaging, making us almost become fans of the place. One thing to note is that, due to the all-you-can-drink option, we kept ordering drinks and they were served so quickly that we all ended up quite drunk, so be careful when ordering drinks. It was a busy Friday night, yet the drinks were served promptly and the food was satisfying, making the price of around 5000 yen quite reasonable. I felt that this was a very impressive restaurant. I'm sorry for being a bit critical. It was a very convenient restaurant for entertaining clients or having company drinking parties, so I would like to visit again soon. Thank you for the meal.

The portion size, taste, variety, and presentation of the dishes were unsatisfactory. The courses were served in a random order and one dish never arrived. The private room was poorly designed, the menu was dirty, and the service was lacking. The drinks were served inconsistently and the requested plate was not provided. Overall, this restaurant was a disappointment and not recommended for a return visit. It's surprising that a restaurant of this level is located near Hakata Station. Even my colleagues were not impressed. Our farewell party was ruined. It's clear that there will be no repeat visits.

The other day, I made a reservation for a course at the store! The atmosphere of the store was nice, but even when I pressed the bell, the staff didn't come right away. I had reserved a course with all-you-can-drink, but there was no guidance on drinks, so I felt disappointed from the start. Some dishes didn't come out even after waiting for an hour, maybe because I ordered everything at once. When I asked what was happening, there was no response, and then the dishes were brought out normally after another 10 minutes. Some of the cups for the drinks brought during the all-you-can-drink were broken, and there was no apology... It was really disappointing that what was supposed to be a fun dinner turned out this way.

The atmosphere at the farewell party was not bad, but the amount of food was small, so the satisfaction level was low. Also, while there was a wide variety of sweet alcoholic beverages available for the all-you-can-drink menu, the lack of wine was disappointing.

The atmosphere of the restaurant when I visited was stylish ✨ There were small private booths for couples as soon as you entered. It was a busy day, with many groups of people inside. The kitchen and dishwashing area were bustling and everything seemed to be in full swing. The food was decent for the price, and having all-you-can-drink included made it a good deal. However, we ordered a course meal and the rice came out before an hour had even passed. I wish they had waited at least an hour and a half before serving the rice. The last order for drinks was supposed to be 30 minutes before the end of the 2-hour time limit, but they took our last order more than 30 minutes before that, which was disappointing. It felt like they were rushing us to leave... I'm not sure if it was because our reservation was late and they were close to closing time, or if it was just a busy night, or if it's their policy to serve food quickly... I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll be returning in the future. However, if you go alone and take your time, it might be a different experience. The atmosphere is nice, so it might be good for that kind of visit.

We caused a lot of commotion with a large group, but the food was delicious and the staff were very pleasant. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

Reservation handling was mediocre. I went on a Sunday so it's understandable that some items were sold out, but it took a few minutes before I was informed and the staff seemed unaware. The taste was average.

The food was decent, neither particularly delicious nor bad. The staff's service was mediocre (it took a while for them to come when called). There was no reason for me to use this restaurant again.
