Lunch in Tsuruhashi on the weekend. The restaurant was crowded everywhere, and it was hard to find a place to sit right away. However, I found this restaurant that had just been renovated and seemed like I could get in, so I decided to go in. The restaurant was very spacious, and the staff welcomed me in. At this point, the restaurant wasn't running smoothly yet, with customers calling out for staff, chopsticks not being available, wet towels not being provided, and orders being mixed up. Nevertheless, when a staff member finally came to my table, they asked me politely, "What can I do for you?" so I placed my order. They brought me water, then a wet towel, and later on, a complimentary appetizer. The items they were trying to serve were actually a good deal and great service, but because the restaurant was so large, had a wide variety of menu items, and the staff were all elderly and taking orders by memory, there were mistakes in taking orders and serving the dishes to the wrong tables, causing chaos. My pork kalbi set meal and kimchi stew set meal arrived relatively quickly, but at the table next to me, one person had finished their meal before the other person's kimchi stew arrived. Hopefully, they will improve with experience.
