I have been to the Viking Sakon Suehiro store many times in March over the past 25 years. Recently, it seems that the Sakon store at Nenono Aeon has closed, or rather, it has relocated to Kumatori. It seems to be located near Kumatori Station, but it appears that a yakiniku restaurant that used to be along the outer ring road has become Sakon. So, I thought about going there, but it seems that they don't have sushi there. Therefore, I ended up going to the Suehiro store as usual. It was quite crowded as always, and you can eat a lot for a cheap price! There are still uni and ikura sushi available. However, the lettuce was missing this time. After a long time, I went to the Viking Sakon Suehiro store again in September. This time, it seemed like the pricing system had changed again. The lunch that used to cost 1000 yen is now 1200 yen! And there are more sushi options! So, I decided to go. You can write your sushi order on a form and they will bring it to your table. There are various options like maguro, ika, unagi, uni, and ikura, which is nice. The taste is typical of a buffet, but for all-you-can-eat meat and sushi for 1200 yen, it's a good deal. There are various meats like beef, pork, chicken, and several types of horumon. Coffee is free, and overall, it's still cheap. After a long time, I visited the Viking Sakon Suehiro store again. I actually passed by the main Sakon store on the way to Wakayama, but then I thought, "I haven't been to Sakon in a while." So, I decided to go back to the Suehiro store. I don't remember the pricing at the main store, but I think the pricing and setup are different at the Suehiro store. The lunch buffet is 1000 yen, and it's available until 17:00. It was quite crowded when I visited around 14:00. There are various meats like beef, pork, chicken, horumon, as well as kimchi, vegetables, and desserts like jelly. Ice cream is also all-you-can-eat, and coffee is free. It's still cheap at 1000 yen, and the meat is tender. There's nothing to complain about. While passing by the usual road... Wait, a buffet for 1000 yen?! Even on weekends and holidays?! When did this happen?! I remember it used to be around 1280 yen for lunch. And it was even more expensive on weekends... I decided to go and visit today. I visited around 14:00, and there were three groups waiting. I remember feeling lonely when I visited on a weekday before because we were the only customers in the spacious store. However, this time it was full! Maybe because it's Sunday? Or maybe because of the cherry blossom viewers at the nearby Suehiro Park? The interior of the store has been nicely renovated to look like private rooms. The lunch buffet is now 1050 yen regardless of weekday or weekend. However, they have removed sushi, ramen, udon, and side dishes that were available before. Now, they offer various meats, curry, rice, miso soup, salads, thick rolled omelet, and desserts like almond jelly and warabi mochi. Ice cream is all-you-can-eat, and they also have hot coffee. The store was almost full, and there was a lot of smoke inside. The meat may not be delicious, but for 1000 yen, it's acceptable. My daughter enjoys it because she can eat plenty without worrying about the price. It's not recommended for those looking for delicious meat, but for those who want to eat a lot, it's a good choice. They also have three different price levels for dinner.
