Neonora
Today, I visited Ita for work-related reasons! I drove there and headed towards the highway, but I couldn't find a restaurant easily, and the highway was right in front of me! I found this place just in time, so it was my first visit! The parking lot was spacious, and the interior had counter seats, table seats, and tatami seats, accommodating quite a few people! The restaurant had a Japanese atmosphere, but the music playing was lively Latin music. There were Caribbean and Hawaiian decorations on the walls, so maybe it's the owner's hobby? I looked through the menu and had a hard time deciding, but they recommended the seasonal dish of conger eel that had just arrived. However, I was also tempted by the udon... I asked if they had a set menu, and they agreed to serve me a mini udon with the eel tempura! I ordered the following:
- Conger eel tempura rice bowl
- Mini udon
After waiting for about 10 minutes, the set arrived! The rice bowl had various tempura items, including conger eel tempura, carrot, eggplant, corn, bitter melon, seaweed, and shiso leaf. I poured plenty of tempura dipping sauce over it and enjoyed the meal! The conger eel tempura had a light and crispy texture, and the sweetness of the fish was delightful. The variety of tempura items with different textures was also appealing. Next was the udon, which had soft and smooth noodles with a clear, dashi-based broth. It had a comforting flavor with a hint of sweetness at the end. By the time I finished eating, I was quite full from the generous portions. I read in another review that the coffee cups were interesting, so I added a cup of coffee after the meal... The hot coffee was supposed to come in a cup with the restaurant's name and a tanuki (raccoon dog) design, but the cups I received were regular ones. Maybe there was a mix-up? However, they made an extra cup by mistake, so I ended up with two cups of coffee! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!
