After finishing a morning drink at Ebisuya Day and Night Restaurant in Kurosaki, I moved to Hakata. I checked the location of the restaurant where tonight's drinking party was going to be held, then took a bus from Tenjin Bus Center to Fukuoka City Museum. Actually, on the first day of my Fukuoka expedition, I had planned to go see the gold seal exhibited at Fukuoka City Museum after visiting Kinin Park on Shiga Island. The museum is located in Sawara Ward and the nearest station is Nishijin Station on the subway. However, for some reason, I mistakenly thought I should go from Akasaka Station in Chuo Ward and ended up wandering around, unable to find it. When I asked at a police box, I found out that I was completely in the wrong place. As I was doing that, the closing time of the museum was approaching, so I gave up on going that day and instead visited the original Nagahamaya that I had been to before (which had relocated) before returning to the hotel. So, on this final day of the expedition, I headed to the museum to see the gold seal. As I got off at the nearest bus stop and headed towards the museum, a tall building caught my eye. Wait a minute, I've seen this before. I stood still and looked up, and a couple with children approached me. Lady: "Excuse me, do you know where ○○ is?" Me: "I'm sorry, I'm a traveler so I don't know." Lady: "I see..." Me: "On the contrary, I'm sorry to ask, but what is that tall building?" Lady: "That's Fukuoka Tower." Me: "So that's Fukuoka Tower." Alright, let's start by going to Fukuoka Tower. I paid the observation fee of 800 yen, took the elevator to the observation deck. Before that, I was told to take a photo and if I liked it, I could buy it on my way back. I don't feel very comfortable being forced to have my photo taken. As I got on the elevator, there were many tourists on Sunday. But I was the only middle-aged man and felt a little uncomfortable. I arrived at the observation deck at 123m above ground and enjoyed a 360-degree panoramic view. Along the way, I took a selfie at a spot where couples were taking commemorative photos. I even found a hidden heart mark on the floor! ...Feeling a bit empty, should I go back down to the ground? As I was descending the stairs to the lower floor where the down elevator was, I saw a cafe. Let's take a break here. There were no other customers in the cafe. It's nice that you can enjoy a wonderful view from any seat. I ordered an iced coffee (450 yen). The coffee at tourist facilities like this usually costs over 600 yen, so this is a fair price. I enjoyed the view, paid the bill, and headed back down to the ground. I finally headed to the museum to see the gold seal after taking a photo at the observation deck.
