A monument resembling a Moai statue serves as a landmark, located about 4 kilometers before the Shiraito Waterfall. The wooden carvings of the "Itoshima Seven Mountains" by the Itoshima woodworker Yuichi Kanda represent the seven mountains of Itoshima - Ihara-yama, Kaminari-yama, Nijo-dake, Juhosan, Ukidake, Onnatake, and Hagane-yama, each with unique expressions that make for picturesque and photogenic photos when combined with the scenery. This place opened in August 2018! "Mori no Cafe Midori no Uta - Midori no Oto" is located within the 25,000-tsubo "Shiraito Forest" at an altitude of 300 meters! The parking lot is spacious, and there are outdoor terrace seats with a great view. The highlight is the "Tree House" utilizing the adjacent cedar forest, including a wooden deck elevated 5-6 meters from the cedar tree base and a dome-shaped "Bamboo House" made of bamboo, creating an exciting atmosphere for children. The Tree House was constructed by Koyamada Construction (Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City) using Kyushu cedar wood, built in a way that does not hinder the growth of the existing standing trees! The eye-catching feature is the aerial walkway connecting the cedar trees. Start by ordering sweets and drinks from the showcase inside the store, complete the payment, put the sweets and drinks in a basket, and head to the forest's "Tree House"! Pets are also welcome, making pet owners happy. We tried the "An Butter Sandwich," "Sakuramochi," "Tart," and drinks, all of which were delicious! When I visited Itoshima City, I discovered a stylish cafe. It was a unique experience where you bring the chairs provided in the bamboo grove to secure a spot before ordering. I tried the potato quiche, chocolate cake, red shiso syrup soda, lemon syrup soda (the names might be wrong), and plain cookies. Everything was homemade, visually appealing, and delicious. It was a refreshing experience for both the body and mind, surrounded by nature.

I will definitely go back again!! You can choose your favorite chair and favorite spot, enjoy your favorite sweets or bread, and take a forest bath. It's really great on sunny days, I feel excited carrying my basket ☀️ However, it gets really crowded on weekends in the afternoon, and the cute chairs are first come first serve... Let's aim to arrive early for the opening! I tried various items, but the strawberry daifuku was surprisingly fluffy and chewy, and very delicious. I recommend it! Also, the quiche was full of ingredients and very satisfying to eat!

I went to the trendy forest cafe last weekend and there was a wait of 45 groups (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*) haha First, you write your name at the reception and wait. When your name is called, you receive a number tag and continue to wait. When it's your turn, you order food at the store, then grab a chair and find a spot to sit. Afterwards, you go back to the store to pick up your order. The place was crowded and it was a bit overwhelming not knowing which line to go to, plus it was a bit confusing without clear instructions (@￣ρ￣@) The lady at the reception was handling everything by herself. Amazing. As you walk into the forest, you'll see several treehouses up in the trees, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Lovely (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*) The treehouse at the top requires climbing a steep slope with slippery ground and no handrails, so sneakers are a must. haha I ordered lemon chiffon cake (moist and fluffy with a nice hint of acidity, really delicious), homemade lemon syrup soda (quite sour with a mild sweetness), iced cafe au lait (not too sweet), new potato and ham cheese hot sandwich (very tasty, highly recommend), pudding (rich eggy flavor, super delicious), and homemade pickled mustard leaf rice ball (surprisingly delicious with a great sesame oil flavor). Since it's self-service, going down the slippery slope with both hands full was quite scary (ﾟ∀ﾟ) haha Eating delicious food and sweets while enjoying the forest. Great concept and highly recommended. It was fun!

Here is a lovely treehouse terrace cafe located in the forest of Itoshima. You can enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by nature while sipping on your favorite drink. To enter the treehouse cafe, you need to place an order and receive a number tag. Then, choose a seat in the treehouse and exchange your tag for your order. The cafe offers a variety of sandwiches made with homemade bread and locally sourced vegetables, as well as delicious cakes and drinks. There is also a great udon restaurant called "Shiraito Udon Yasuji" on the same premises. It's a wonderful spot to visit, just under an hour away from Fukuoka city. A cafe where you can enjoy a picnic atmosphere in the forest. We stopped by on our way to a drive in Itoshima. Since it was during Golden Week, we arrived 30 minutes before opening and were able to get in on the first round. We bought the food we wanted in a basket, found a spot on the premises, and enjoyed our meal there. We chose to eat in a treehouse, so we had to carry the heavy chairs to our preferred spot (laughs). The hot sandwich was delicious, with a crispy crust. The taro quiche was also tasty, but the best part was the amaou strawberry daifuku! I didn't realize amaou strawberries were famous in Itoshima. The daifuku was so soft and incredibly delicious! It was a healing experience to be able to enjoy the forest and relax. If you don't want to wait, I recommend arriving before opening!

Order your food and bring your chair to the terrace to secure your seat! It was quiet and peaceful, like having the place to ourselves. Enjoying in the forest with a sense of openness... it was the best. Daikon and daikon leaf quiche with hot coffee. The quiche was creamy and perfect for a light meal. It was delicious. It was a bit chilly, so the hot coffee was also soothing ❤︎ It would be even more enjoyable in the perfect weather of spring or autumn. The sound of footsteps echoes quite a bit and the floor sways, so there's a slight thrill when walking, which is fun! I knew about this place before and decided to visit during this time of year when it's getting colder, as it's likely to be less crowded during weekdays. There are still some people around but I can order without much waiting, then I find a seat to enjoy my tea. I ordered a cafe latte, pudding, and pistachio and cassis cake this time. It's cute and convenient to carry them in a basket. The forest is quiet and the greenery is soothing. The pudding and cake are sweet but not too overwhelming. Maybe having two was a bit too much. I'd like to try the quiche next time. There are several terraces in the forest, some high up like treehouses, which is exciting. People enjoy their tea time in their favorite spots, reading or just relaxing in the greenery. However, the terraces tend to amplify footsteps and vibrations, so if you bring kids who run around, it can feel like an earthquake experience tour. Also, on this day, there was a loud lady nearby repeating "cute and delicious" like a broken doll, which was a bit annoying. I wish people would consider the atmosphere and not disrupt it. I would like to visit again when it's less crowded.

In the middle of the forest, there is a treehouse terrace where you can enjoy a cafe time. It feels like a stylish place, somewhat reminiscent of Ubud in Bali! However, on Sundays, it gets really crowded and the waiting time was about 30 minutes. The seats are also packed, so it's not really a place where you can relax. It might be better to visit when it's less busy or on weekdays for a more leisurely experience. The honey lemon drink had sliced lemons in it, giving a comforting taste. The pistachio and berry tart had a nice balance of rich pistachio flavor and the tartness of the berries, making it surprisingly delicious. It would be nice if they had more seating and menu options. Nonetheless, it's a lovely place where you can feel close to nature. Relaxing while looking at the trees, it felt like a little overseas trip. A treehouse-like cafe in the woods, "Mori no Cafe Midori no Uta."

Near the Shiraito Falls in Itoshima, a cafe was renovated in August 2021. Next to it, there is a popular udon restaurant. The cafe is always full even on weekdays, as it is located in the mountains with outdoor terrace seats. It's a great concept to enjoy delicious cakes and quiche while listening to the birds chirping in the cool breeze and dappled sunlight of the forest. It was a truly relaxing experience in a real forest cafe where you can feel healing and comfort in the midst of nature. It has become one of my favorite places. I had a chocolate tart (¥450), onion quiche (¥450), apple juice (¥450), iced cafe au lait (¥500), and forest pudding (¥300) for takeout, which they kindly kept in the refrigerator until I left. It was my first visit, but I had a pleasant conversation with the staff, who were very kind.

After enjoying some white thread udon at Yasuji, we headed to the "Forest Cafe Green Poem" located in the back. It's not your typical cafe - it's a cafe in the forest! You order a drink at the cafe (one drink per person), then find a nice spot in the woods. I chose a wooden deck to relax on. After about 10 minutes, I went back to the cafe to pick up my order and enjoyed my drink surrounded by nature, completely forgetting about the daily grind. I also bought some sakuramochi at Yasuji, so at the cafe, I ordered an iced coffee. It was so cool in the forest that I ended up feeling a bit chilly after drinking the iced coffee. On the way back, I returned the basket with the chair and drink. Being in such a soothing environment like this cafe in the forest makes you not want to go back to work. It was the ultimate relaxing experience at the forest cafe. I had the best time enjoying a forest bath while having a cafe time. It was surprising to see so many people even on a weekday!

Eating a meal in nature was very enjoyable and delicious.

I visited on the middle day of the three-day weekend. I didn't do enough research beforehand, but when I arrived with my child and elderly parents, who are pregnant, there were about 50 people waiting in line! Not only that, but we had to carry our own chairs and climb a hill to reach the cafe, which was too difficult for us, so we ended up getting takeout. The cafe in the forest is like climbing a mountain, but there is also a cafe by the field with a viewing deck where you can sit, and it was completely empty. You also have to bring your own chair there. Everyone seemed to be waiting in line for the forest cafe. The takeout was prepared quickly and we enjoyed the tart and coffee in the car. The taste was really delicious. I wanted to visit the forest cafe as well, but the high hurdles for pregnant women and elderly people made it too difficult, so it would have been better if there was a clearer explanation. If you go thinking it's just a normal cafe, it could turn into a difficult situation.

It's lovely. A cafe full of negative ions. The only hassle is that after ordering coffee, you have to carry a heavy chair to reserve a spot, then come back 15 minutes later to pick up your coffee. Forest bathing is pleasant, so I think it's good in hot weather.
