This is the main branch of Ramen Kiramei! It's my first time visiting despite its popularity! Why is it so crowded? I arrived right at opening time at 6 o'clock, but there was already a long line! I had to write my name down and wait. The line kept getting longer and longer. After about a 30-minute wait, I finally got inside! Originally, I planned to try their famous Kiramei ramen, but when I saw it on Instagram, I couldn't resist trying their Japanese-style salt tsukemen this time! I also added a flavored egg as a topping. The soup is a blend of animal and seafood flavors with a sharp saltiness. The homemade flat thick noodles have a nice whole wheat flavor. The noodles are delicious! They go well with the sharp saltiness of the soup. The noodles are really delicious at Kiramei! The texture of the green onions and the soft and crunchy bamboo shoots are delicious. The flavored egg topping is seasoned just right, and the yolk is perfectly delicious. The chashu is soft and delicious, soaked in the soup. Lastly, of course, I had to try the soup refill. The saltiness dilutes, but the umami flavor remains, making it a delicious soup refill. I've been to the Kiramei ramen shop in Juso before, but the main branch's bowl was, as expected, a delicious bowl!

Finally, only 2 days left until closing! I ended up coming back again! I was determined to eat the Chinese noodles, but ended up choosing the chicken broth ramen! So delicious! And for the last meal, I had the soup-less mixed noodles. It's a spicy dish with a unique flavor and it's incredibly tasty! With this, my retirement ceremony is complete~ (Tears)

I visited the main store of Kirimen, which will be closing on July 30th and relocating to Kashi City, Hyogo Prefecture. I ordered the default "Kirishiroyu Shoyu Tsukemen" with extra noodles, featuring homemade thick flat noodles with a size 10 blade. It was a memorable bowl of noodles. Only 5 days left, keep up the good work! The location will be taken over by an apprentice who will start a new shop called "Menya Denryu" in September. I am looking forward to the opening of both Kirimen in Kashi City and Menya Denryu. I also hope that the main store of Chuka Soba Kirimen in Juso will continue to do well!

I ordered the Reitou 2 and Kiritama (cold) last week when I visited. The Reitou 2 had a thick, savory soup with chewy, glossy noodles that went perfectly together. The Kiritama was as delicious as always, refreshing and just right for my taste buds. Even after moving locations, I still want to visit this Kirimen shop near my grandfather's house! Forever be Kirimen!

"From Hankyu Railway Kobe Line Kanzakigawa Station in Yodogawa Ward, Osaka City, it takes about a 12-minute walk to reach the highly popular and always crowded famous restaurant 'Kirimen Main Store'. Visited on July 23, 2023. This ramen shop was ranked among the top 100 ramen shops in the west in 2022! Unfortunately, it is closing down on July 31st due to relocation to Hyogo Prefecture. Before it closes, I managed to try their signature dish, 'Kirimen Shoyu Ramen' priced at 930 yen. The ramen was truly delicious, with a thick and flavorful soy sauce-based broth that was surprisingly easy to drink despite its thick consistency. The noodles were another highlight, with a perfect balance of chewiness and firmness that complemented the rich soup well. The melt-in-your-mouth chashu was also a delight. Even though the soup was thick, I managed to finish it all. Overall, a satisfying and enjoyable ramen experience at Kirimen. Goodbye and thank you for the delicious meal!"

Goodbye to Kirimen in one week. The wait was an hour for a 8:30 PM visit! My partner had the normal tsukemen, and I had the miso ramen tsukemen. The noodles were amazing on their own. It's been a while since I had miso, and it's so flavorful! The firm chashu goes well with the miso soup, and the soup is so good you can finish it all. The completion level of the soup is high. I definitely have to come back again!

I heard that the restaurant will be closing and moving at the end of July! To avoid lining up in the middle of summer, I mustered up the courage and went to register at 9:30 am. I was the first in line and had a good laugh. After that, more and more people came to register. I took a break at a nearby air-conditioned McDonald's and returned 15 minutes before the opening time, only to find a long line! I was glad I registered early...! Ten minutes before opening, my name was called and they let me in. I ordered the following:
- Cold Kiryu Tama Noodles: The noodles and egg are shining. The salt sauce, egg, and noodles go extremely well together and are delicious! I thought it was similar to udon's Kamatama, but it was a fresh taste that I had never had in ramen before!
- Kiryu White Soy Sauce Dipping Noodles (Large): The noodles alone are incredibly delicious! I was happy with the generous portion for the large size. The soup split at the end was also good.
When leaving, I was thanked for coming early in the morning! I will visit the Juso store as well! Thank you for the meal!

Only available on July 19th and 20th in limited quantities, the NEW Kiri Tonkotsu was offered! This pork bone ramen uses the soup that was served during the collaboration event with "Gokumen Aonishi" run by a shop owner from Hyogo Prefecture on July 17th. It combines the popular chicken white soup "Kiri Shirayu" from the shop and the delicious spring water from Shiso City, Hyogo Prefecture, where many people visit from outside the city on holidays. Additionally, it includes the "Hachika Pork" produced at the only pig farm in the world, known as the "phantom pig," in Hyogo Prefecture, and it is simmered slowly for 20 hours to create an extremely rich soup. This version of "Kiri Tonkotsu" is slightly different from the previous limited edition, as it maintains a mildness while sharpening the flavors even more. Although Kiri Men Honpo and Kiri-chan Seimen will be closing on July 30th, I hope there will be opportunities to enjoy their food even after relocating to Kashi (*゚∀゚*)

Today, I went on a ramen tour to Kanzaki River and visited "Kirimen Honten" for the first time in 2 months. They will be closing at the end of July and relocating to Kasai City, Hyogo Prefecture, so I came to visit before they close. I planned on trying their last limited edition "MAZEL", but ended up being swayed by their collaboration with Aonishi for their 10th anniversary after-party limited edition ramen "Yagoshishito no Kiriramen".
- Soup: The soup is a blend of chicken and pork broth. It combines Kirimen's chicken white broth (Kirishiratama) with a rich animal-based broth made from 20-hour simmered Ha deer pork, and a sharp soy sauce base. Despite its thick and sticky texture, the rich flavors of pork and chicken come through without being too heavy, leaving a refreshing aftertaste.
- Noodles: The homemade medium-thin straight noodles were chewy with a good firmness that complemented the richness of the soup perfectly.
- Char Siu: The pork belly char siu was well-cooked and paired excellently with the flavorful broth.
In conclusion, Kirimen Honten, which will be closing at the end of July, is a favorite spot of mine that I have frequented since last year. Although they will be relocating to Kasai, which is closer to my hometown, I am looking forward to visiting their new location in Hyogo and enjoying their delicious ramen.

Visited 100 ramen shops today for the first time! Although there was quite a line as closing time approached, the turnover was fast so the wait wasn't as long as expected. This time, I ordered the chilled Kiridama ramen! The noodles were topped with a salt sauce at the bottom, allowing you to adjust the flavor as you eat. It was a simple yet delicious bowl that maximized the flavor of the Kiridama noodles. Thank you for the meal!

Summer chilled noodle series 4️⃣ As the closing date for the relocation of Kirimen's main store in Kasai City approaches on July 30th, I visited after work to savor the high-quality noodles made by the owner, Mr. Kiridani. Due to the closing effect, there were about 10 people waiting outside, despite visiting at night.
🍜 Hiyakiri No.2 (¥1000) A new addition to the "Hiyakiri" where you can fully enjoy just the noodles, the No.2 (¥1000) has arrived, and I chose this without hesitation. The regular Hiyakiri soup is a chicken clear broth with seafood, but the No.2 version excludes the seafood, using only chicken and soy sauce. The bowl served had no toppings, just the noodles and soup, with a simple yet beautiful appearance.
I immediately slurped the noodles, enjoying the smooth and chewy texture, with an excellent throat sensation. The noodles were so delicious that I couldn't stop slurping them. The soup, made only with chicken, had a slightly jelly-like texture, with a depth of soy sauce flavor and richness that complemented the noodles perfectly. The owner, who prides himself on having the best noodles that no one can beat, certainly lived up to that reputation.
After the temporary closure, it seems that one of the apprentices will take over the main store, and I hope they will continue to maintain the quality of these noodles.

Arrived a little after 11 a.m. on Saturday! Signed in, lined up, bought a meal ticket, and entered the restaurant after a 50-minute wait. Got my bowl 10 minutes later, the noodles were delicious. I mixed them with the egg and broth, it was tasty! Simple yet delicious! Finally, I added the rice to the empty bowl after finishing the noodles, turning it into egg rice, which was amazing! Truly a top-notch restaurant! The owner is moving at the end of July? Will the apprentice continue this restaurant? Please continue, thank you for the meal.

I visited a shop that I had checked out before it closed. I arrived on a Saturday morning around 9:30 am, and had to sign in and wait for my turn. There were already 3 people signed in before me, and I was the 4th in line. I revisited the shop around 10:50 am, 10 minutes before opening, and there were now 18 people signed in. The shop opened 5-6 minutes earlier than scheduled. I ordered the "Hiyakiri 2 with tororo" for 1,200 yen, along with an extra serving of rice for 50 yen. The noodles were delicious, made with whole wheat and had a great texture. The tororo added a nice touch to the dish. I also ordered some extra rice to finish off the remaining soup. Overall, it was worth the wait in line for the delicious noodles.

Tsugime Honpo's light salt tsukemen version for ¥1,050 is a must-try at the newly renovated "Chuka Soba Tsugime Sohonten" which reopened today, July 7th. I had the tsukemen at Mitsuya's Tsugime Honpo and it was absolutely delicious! Perfect experience.

This is a famous ramen shop located about 1km from Hankyu Kamizakigawa.
- Rich chicken broth! The richness, aroma, and thickness are delicious
- However, it's a bit salty and has a bitter taste?
- Cash payment only
■■■ Shop ■■■
I walked from JR Kashima Station, and it took less than 20 minutes. It seems better to come from Hankyu... There is no parking lot, so the access is not very good. When I arrived around 6 pm on a weekday, there were 6 people waiting. I was able to get in after about 10 minutes. It started to calm down before 7 pm, so it might be good to go a little later. There are only 8 seats at the U-shaped counter. It's crowded, so it seems difficult for children to enter.
■■■ Menu ■■■
It is a ticket system and cash only. Unlike other famous shops, there are 4 types of ramen (soy sauce, salt, miso, curry), 3 types of tsukemen, and various other options like mixed noodles. Since it was my first time, I decided to go with the largest button, "Kirimen Shoyu."
■■■ Food ■■■
▼ Kirimen Shoyu 880 yen (as of July 23)
The soup is gray. With chicken white broth, this color is quite promising! The moment I slurped it... Heavenly!? The richness and umami of chicken rush through. But the aftertaste is totally different. It has a dashi flavor and a fragrant taste. The noodles are firm with a square shape and contain whole grain flour. The thick soup coats the noodles well and it's delicious. The chashu is less than 1cm thick. However, it was quite salty with a hint of off-flavor. Hmm, is there cilantro hidden in it? No, is it on top? This unique touch is good. Towards the end, it becomes quite salty and the bitterness accumulates in the throat, which is a downside. But the rough texture of the bones is rich. In the end, I drank it all (laughs).
■■■ Conclusion ■■■
A rich and rough chicken white broth! It was delicious. Recommended for those who like "Menya NOROMA" or "Daiya soul" in Rokko-michi. Thank you for the meal.

On July 30th, this place will close its business, so I came for lunch with a friend who visited when it opened on December 1, 2014. The owner is a graduate of the famous Osaka restaurant "Ramen Jinsei JET". Opened on December 1, 2014! And closing on July 30, 2023. The apprentices are planning to start their own shops. Owner Kiritani will start a new shop in Kashi City. We waited in a long line under the scorching sun for about an hour. Finally, we were able to enter the store and purchased meal tickets from the vending machine. I ordered "Kirimen Miso with extra Char Siu", which I had when it opened in 2014! Rich white soup with a sweet miso flavor! The homemade noodles with a great texture also stand out in this rich white soup! And the meat, so delicious. Looking forward to the day when I can eat Kiritani's ramen at the new shop!

#2023-106 Weekday 12:26 arrival, 10 people waiting in line. It operates on a reservation system where you write your name down, purchase a meal ticket when called, and then wait to be called to enter the restaurant. There are rumors that this main branch will be closing and relocating at the end of the year. Despite this, customers continue to flock in without pause. Today's target was the "Kiridama," although other items also looked delicious, I wanted to try this one. I ordered the cold Kiridama with 1.5 servings for 1000 yen. Entered at 13:03. Received my bowl at 13:15. Simple is the best. Thick flat noodles with a raw egg on top and a broth at the bottom. First, I tried the noodles as they are. The thick noodles had a great chewy texture and a strong wheat flavor that lingers in your nose. The sauce was soy-based with a hint of sweetness. The noodles were also slightly salty, which was a perfect seasoning. The richness of the raw egg added to the enjoyment. As I started to get a bit tired of the flavor, I tried adding the provided soy sauce to change it up a bit, making it a bit richer and more satisfying. The balance between the saltiness and the broth was well done, and I enjoyed it until the last bite. Adding green onions as an option might have been a good idea.

I tried the limited menu starting tomorrow, Hiyakiri 2nd IN Tororo for ¥1,200 at the main store of Tsumugi. The cold soup with clear broth has a clear soy sauce base that gives it a sharp flavor. The freshly grated nagaimo tororo adds a smooth taste to the dish. The homemade flat thick noodles with a cutting blade of 10 are incredibly delicious. Perfect!

Today's second bowl was the light Chinese noodles at Kirimen Honten (Mitsuya). I had it before and the chicken, pork, and seafood soy sauce clear soup was delicious. It was still delicious! The homemade thick noodles, cut with a blade size 16, were firm yet easy to slurp. Excellent!

I went to eat at a restaurant where the owner will soon open a new shop in Kashi. It was already a popular place, but I only had to wait in line for about 20-30 minutes. It seems like the apprentice will take over at that location, so it should still be possible to eat there. I tried the Kiridama (cold) and Menma Don, both were delicious, but I personally prefer the cold one. They also have limited-time menu items, so I might go back again for another visit.

The Kinugyu (cold) ramen was amazing! It's more like soba than ramen. It consists of noodles without toppings, served with sauce and a raw egg. The noodles are thick and chewy, and delicious on their own. The sweet soy-based sauce adds even more flavor. The egg is also tasty. It took about an hour to wait in line, but it was worth it. The staff was friendly and the service was great. I want to try the mixed noodles next time.
