I got the "Sansei Shokuben" (Three-color meal box) for 500 yen from "Nikusho Rokkan Hanare" again. This time, I decided to eat it at the "Grass Square" in the nearby "Cascade Garden." The "Sansei Shokuben" came with three different pickles. The potato salad was delicious! The main dishes were grilled red fish, shrimp fry, and a bite-sized hirakatsu. They were all tasty! The portion size was also generous. The toppings on the rice were also three colors. From left to right: scrambled eggs, meat (not sure what kind), and on the right, was it sautéed lettuce? Here is a link to past articles about "Nikusho Rokkan Hanare": → http://mickeyjapan.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-1223.html

I got a "Western-style bento box" for takeout from "Nikuya Rokkan Hanare" for 500 yen. It looked delicious when I passed by before. It's a sunny day along the Okawa River. The building on the right is the OAP Port for the Osaka Water Bus. The bento box includes shrimp fry, half a menchi katsu, cream croquette, salad, pasta, and potato salad, all for 500 yen, which is a great deal. Since the weather was nice, I decided to eat at the "lawn square" in the nearby Cascade Garden. The chicken rice is lightly seasoned, but with a variety of side dishes, it's well-balanced. They also offer other tasty bento boxes like "Chinese bento" and "pork shabu curry." Due to the impact of the new coronavirus, OAP Plaza has had to shift its focus to bento boxes for takeout.

(2) Revisited. Today, I had the fried young bird set meal instead of the pork steak. The seasoning was red salt and lemon. The light seasoning allowed me to taste the juicy flavor of the fried meat. It was quite filling, and the side salad was also nice. If you want a satisfying lunch, the fried chicken set meal is also good! (1) I explored the restaurant area in the OAP Tower in Osaka Temmabashi. I found a restaurant on the basement floor. The signboard mentioned "Tonkatsu" in the lunch menu, and the words "rice refill free" caught my attention. I decided to enter the restaurant. I was guided to a spacious interior with table seating to enjoy my meal leisurely. I had the pork shoulder loin steak with Tonkatsu sauce. I enjoyed the hot Tonkatsu on the sizzling iron plate. It was generously topped with garlic chips, and the Tonkatsu sauce had a garlic flavor. The taste of the pork shoulder loin and the generous portion made me want to have rice refills. There were also other sauces like pork chop and salt and pepper, so you can enjoy different flavors. The fried chicken set meal, mixed fry set meal, shabu-shabu, and other lunch menus were enticing. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the meal.

This is the lunch I had before the holiday, and because I was busy before the holiday, I often ate at the building in my workplace. One of my favorite places to go is "Niku-sho Rokkan Hanare." This restaurant is operated by "Intersection," which is a food and beverage company based in Osaka. As the name suggests, this restaurant mainly focuses on meat dishes, but they offer a variety of lunch options. They seem to have confidence in their meat, as many menu items are labeled "domestic pork." Some of the lunch options include: - Mixed fry set meal - Domestic pork loin and belly shabu-shabu set meal - Domestic pork loin pork teki set meal - Deep-fried young chicken with your choice of sauce set meal - Pork chop set meal - Domestic pork loin steak set meal - Daily special set meal Shabu-shabu comes with a variety of soup options that change daily. There are also other menu items written on a blackboard. On this day, I ordered the daily special which was "sweet and sour pork set meal." With any dish, you can have unlimited rice refills. Lately, I find it hard not to have seconds, as my stomach fills up quickly (laughs). When the food arrived, it included the main sweet and sour pork dish, salad, miso soup, pickles, and a small side dish. The small side dish changes daily, and on this day it was hijiki. Looking at the photo, it may seem like the large piece of meat is the main dish, as it is indeed a meat-focused restaurant. The Chinese sauce on the sweet and sour pork is delicious. The pork, in which they have confidence, is tender and tasty.

After the new year, I have been busy and have been eating lunch in the building near my workplace more often. Well, it's also because it's cold and I don't feel like going out. Lately, I have been frequenting "Niku Shou Rokkan Hanare" a lot. This restaurant is operated by "Intersection," which is a food and beverage business based in Osaka. As the name suggests, this restaurant mainly focuses on meat dishes, but they also have a variety of lunch options. Many of their menu items are labeled with the prefix "Domestic Pork," which shows their confidence in their meat quality. Some of the lunch options include: - Mixed Fry Set Meal - Domestic Pork Loin and Belly Shabu-Shabu Set Meal - Domestic Pork Loin Pork Teppanyaki Set Meal - Deep-Fried Young Chicken with Your Choice of Sauce Set Meal - Pork Chop Set Meal - Domestic Pork Loin Steak Set Meal For the Shabu-Shabu dish, you can choose from a variety of soup options that change daily. In addition to these, there are other menu items written on the blackboard. On the day I visited, I ordered the "Mixed Fry Set Meal." With any dish, you can have unlimited rice refills. Recently, I feel like I can't resist having seconds (laughs). The food arrived. The set included croquettes, fillet cutlets, and fried fish as the main items, along with salad, miso soup, pickles, and a small side dish. The side dish changes daily, and on this day, it was dried daikon radish and potato salad. Looking at the photo, the croquettes seem to be the main item. The fillet cutlets on the right are eaten with a special sauce, which is delicious. The tender and tasty fillet cutlets, which they are confident about, were well-prepared. It was delicious.

Today, I went to Nikusho Rokkan Hanare for lunch. I was at OAP during lunchtime, so I decided to eat underground and looked around at various restaurants. After browsing through different options, I settled on this one. I wonder what kind of place this is. Exciting! OAP stands for Osaka Amenity Park. To the left is the Imperial Hotel, to the right is OAP Tower (OAP Plaza), and OAP Residence Tower (residential building). I descended to the basement of OAP Plaza. Now, where should I eat? There was a signboard with restaurant options. After some consideration, I chose Nikusho Rokkan Hanare. The exterior of the restaurant had a calm atmosphere with abundant use of wood. I was quite hungry, so I decided to enter. The lunch menu included options like Hamburg Steak with Cheese Demi-Glace, Pork Belly and Matsutake Mushroom Teppanyaki set, Beef and Burdock Sukiyaki-style Meat Tofu set, and more. I opted for the daily special set meal for 880 yen, which was Beef Loin Cutlet with Demi-Glace Sauce. The meal included the main cutlet, rice, side dishes, miso soup, and pickles. Rice refills were also available, which was a nice touch. The cutlet was crispy and delicious, with a perfect Demi-Glace sauce. I also enjoyed the miso soup. The restaurant had a cozy ambiance with two types of seating arrangements. The staff were attentive and quick to bring rice refills. There was a flyer for a limited-time autumn course featuring Samgyeopsal and Sukiyaki hotpot. It seemed like a meat lover's dream with a generous portion. Unfortunately, they didn't have the shabu-shabu option for lunch this month, but it seems like a great place to visit for dinner. I would love to come back to try more of their lunch options. I found a new favorite spot at OAP. Can't wait to visit again!

It was a hot Saturday afternoon when I visited this restaurant for the first time, but the inside of the OAP was cool and refreshing. It was past 1pm, so the restaurant was not crowded as most offices were closed. The restaurant seemed eager for customers, and as a solo diner, I was happy to enjoy a peaceful lunch. The restaurant is relatively new and mainly serves shabu-shabu, but they offer four lunch set options during lunchtime. I chose the "pork teki set meal" for 880 yen, even though the actual dish looked slightly different from the menu photo. Despite this, the hot meal was delicious, especially with plenty of garlic. The miso soup was also quite good. They offer free refills for rice.

I had some business at the OAP building and decided to check out a new restaurant that recently opened based on high ratings on Tabelog. The restaurant is affiliated with Seigoin in Fukushima, known for their high-quality Japanese cuisine. The location is on the basement floor of the OAP building in Temma. The interior is reminiscent of a high-end Japanese restaurant, with high partitions between tables creating a cozy atmosphere. I started with a cold beer, followed by a dish of grilled black pork with wasabi. The pork was tender and sweet, with the hint of wasabi adding a nice touch. Next, I ordered the pork shabu-shabu course, which came with a choice of two types of hot pot. I opted for the special hot pot, which is unique to this restaurant and features a tofu broth. The hot pot was a delightful experience, allowing me to enjoy grilled meat, shabu-shabu, and sukiyaki all in one. The meat was delicious, especially the black pork. The tofu broth was also flavorful. The set included a plate of black pork loin and belly, as well as vegetables, tofu, and a choice of rice porridge or udon, all for only 1980 yen. It was a great value for such high-quality food. I also couldn't resist ordering some wagyu beef, which was the perfect addition to an already amazing meal. I am truly grateful for this encounter with the best shabu-shabu of my life!

Lunchtime at work. I usually bring a bento box since I do desk work, but today is the one day a week I go out to eat. I usually like to leave the office building, but it's just too hot outside, so I decided to stay within the building premises. I found a new restaurant called Hakata Hanamidori and decided to try it out. The atmosphere inside was calm and relaxing. The lunch menu starts at 780 yen, a bit on the higher side. I tried the daily special, which was shabu-shabu, and also ordered the fried chicken. Both dishes were quite traditional but had generous portions. There was also a hamburger and pork teki lunch set for 880 yen. In Kansai, pork usually means tonkatsu, but here it seems to be teki. Overall, the meals consisted of a main dish, rice, miso soup, and pickles, which is quite standard. I visited the restaurant twice and tried the fried chicken and hamburger, and I found the fried chicken lunch set to be more worth it. With only these types of lunch options, I feel like Kansai locals might get bored quickly. I hope they introduce some new dishes soon, as it seems like it's only a matter of time before people get tired of the current menu.

As a self-proclaimed meat expert, this place only offers meat and vegetables! Knowing this, I wasn't planning on going, but I decided to give it a try after all. The specialty here is the hot pot style, where you can enjoy two types of shabu-shabu at once! You can also choose from four different soups. We went with two servings of black pork shabu-shabu course and some a la carte dishes for three people. The soups we chose were tofu and kelp dashi. There's also a hot pot where you can enjoy both shabu-shabu and yakiniku at the same time! We tried dishes like wagyu tataki and yukke, which tasted average, nothing special. But we felt a sense of security in the quality. The tofu shabu-shabu was a hit for us, with its smooth and mellow flavor. We enjoyed it with a smile, saying "Black pork was a good choice." This place doesn't seem to focus much on alcohol. It's more about enjoying a light drink and shabu-shabu. As you approach middle age, a lighter option like black pork shabu-shabu might be just right (we found two servings enough for three of us). We were pleasantly surprised at the bill - even with four beers and three other drinks for three people, it was just over 10,000 yen. It's a reasonably priced place considering the atmosphere (maybe because it's pork). I think it's perfect for young couples on a date.
