The shopping street in Awaji is always lively and bustling whenever you visit, it's a vibrant shopping district. I went to my friend's house in Awaji to play and then visited a pasta restaurant for lunch. We arrived early and ended up waiting in line before the opening time, but the staff kindly opened the door for us before the scheduled time, which was much appreciated. The restaurant had a calm atmosphere, but quickly filled up with more and more people, becoming a lively place in no time! People of all ages and genders, from young to old, started coming in one after another. The menu had a variety of options and I was torn on what to choose. But in the end, I went with my favorite creamy pasta... Carbonara with prosciutto and spinach (930 yen). I love high-calorie pasta dishes! It's always creamy, but that doesn't mean I dislike Japanese-style or tomato-based ones. The creamy sauce on the chewy fresh pasta with the salty flavor of prosciutto as an accent made for an irresistible taste. However, the portion was huge! Pasta may not look like a lot, but as you eat, you realize there's still more! Especially with creamy pasta, it tends to fill you up quickly. I left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied.

On this day, I was looking for a lunch spot with my child and made a reservation at this restaurant! It's located on the second floor. There is no elevator, so it might be a struggle with a stroller. It was a Sunday, and during peak hours, there were lots of customers of all ages and genders. There are table seats, and some are half table and half bench, so it might be better for those with children to specify those seats when making a reservation. There were many pasta options to choose from, and the portion size is decent even for one person, so it's okay to share with kids. I had a small child with me, and at one point, a young male staff member kindly asked if we needed a child seat, which was a thoughtful gesture! It's been a long time since I last visited Albar. The amount of oil used in their dishes left a strong impression on me, and this time was no different as there was still a generous amount of oil used. I ordered the mozzarella and tomato pasta, a combination I enjoy. The mozzarella cheese portion was a bit small, but the sauce was plentiful. I had to be careful not to splash and stain my clothes. The sauce had a nice acidity to it, making me want to have more. I wish there was more pasta to balance out the excess sauce. Thank you for the meal.

Italian restaurant right near Awaji Station!! The place is spacious but overall a bit dark. The seafood penne gratin was good, but nothing too special. They have a wide variety of menu options which is nice! It's an okay place, not bad but not outstanding either. Seems like it's loved by locals.

The restaurant is located just as you enter the shopping street from the west exit of Hankyu Awaji Station, up the outer building staircase. I ordered the "Carbonara". While it had some difficult elements, the taste was to my liking. - Food/Taste: 3.4 The "Carbonara" had a rich cheese flavor. In addition to bacon, it also included onions for a contrasting texture. The onions seemed to slightly soften the richness of the flavor, making it enjoyable until the end. The pasta noodles were slightly thin, with a chewy texture that felt firm when bitten. I really liked this. However, due to the small amount of sauce, the noodles tended to stick together towards the end. But increasing the amount of that rich sauce could make it too heavy. It's a delicate balance. - Service: 3.7 The staff was kind and provided excellent service. They even brought out a special menu when I inquired about the lunch set. At the time of payment, they asked, "How was the taste?" and as I left, they opened the door saying, "We look forward to seeing you again." They also had thorough COVID-19 precautions in place, with hand sanitizer, temperature checks at entry, and partitions on large tables. - Ambiance: 3.3 As mentioned, the location is a bit hidden. I initially passed by it when looking for it. The restaurant is spacious, with a view of the shopping street from the windows. The background music was stylish lounge music, with loud volume. There were no other customers when I arrived, only one after me. Given the quality of the restaurant, I believe this was due to the time of day. It felt like it could be more bustling like nearby cafes. - Cost Performance: 3.2 The "Carbonara" was priced at 780 yen plus tax, which seemed reasonable for this dish. The overall price was quite reasonable for continuous operation. However, adding a salad or other items to the set could easily push the bill over 1000 yen, making it somewhat affordable. I paid 858 yen and received change, so I think rounding it up to 900 yen would be more convenient. - Drinks: Data unavailable. In a good way, this restaurant didn't feel local, and it could easily become popular in places like Umeda.

Feeling like having Italian food today, I visited ALBAR located on the second floor of a building in Awajimachi Shotengai (1 minute walk from Awaji Station). As soon as I entered, they brought me a towel and cold water. I ordered the lunch set of eggplant and meat sauce spaghetti with salad, bread, and a drink for 1,111 yen. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes. The spaghetti, although slightly overcooked, tasted delicious as the sauce coated the noodles well. With salad and bread included, I left the restaurant feeling full. They also accept PayPay for payment. Thank you for the meal!

I went for lunch and the pasta was delicious with the perfect al dente texture! The bread was unlimited and so tasty that I kept getting more. The meal also came with a drink and salad, all for around 1500 yen. I definitely want to visit again.

I always make a reservation here when having lunch with friends so we can have a nice table and relax. There are so many types of pasta and pizza that I always have a hard time choosing. Next time, I want to come for dinner and enjoy some wine with my meal.
