Last Sunday, after enjoying a delicious pork steak for lunch near Niehama Station, I showed my 6th grade niece the information about a shop that serves matcha sweets that I had researched in advance, and she said, "Let's go!" My daughter loves matcha, so of course she wanted to go. (laughs) So, we walked to the place... "MATCHA CAFE HACHI". Opened in 2015, this shop offers a variety of matcha sweets and Western-style dishes. They also have a bakery. Looking at the menu, there were so many matcha options - cakes, parfaits, drinks to savor the tea itself, and more. My daughter was so indecisive, saying "I can't decide!" We ended up choosing a cake and ice cream combo. I chose the matcha New York cheesecake with ice cream (¥900), and my daughter chose the matcha roll cake with ice cream (¥880). You can upgrade to a drink set for an additional ¥350, but we chose the special drink upgrade for an extra ¥100. My daughter had hot matcha (okuyutaka), and I had iced matcha. After a short wait, my plate arrived. The cheesecake had a rich matcha flavor incorporated, while still tasting like cheesecake. The matcha ice cream on the side had a crispy matcha sauce on top, adding an interesting texture. The iced matcha drink I ordered was also very rich, with a strong matcha flavor even with the ice. It was a true "matcha feast", and both my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although it's a bit pricey, I would love to come back someday to enjoy another "matcha feast".

I was excited for the afternoon tea and it made me happy ☺️ I made a reservation and the afternoon tea arrived 30 minutes later. It was a bit crowded because it was a Sunday, but that's understandable. I was happy because it was Instagrammable, but it was too sweet for me so I couldn't finish it and had my friend help me. But it was delicious! Next time, I'll try the parfait.

I was originally looking for tiramisu in a cup, but they were not available for takeout, so I ended up buying a matcha cheesecake and a bread with a generous amount of sausage on top. Both items had a good volume and the texture and taste of the sausage were excellent! I think the cost performance is also good. The cheesecake was rich and dense, which is my favorite type. Next time, I would like to try the tiramisu in the eat-in option.

I arrived around 2:30 on Thursday. The parking lot was almost full, but I managed to find a spot after a short wait. It's a popular place! I ordered a set with matcha creme brulee and Japanese black tea. The brulee had a strong matcha flavor, and the tea portion was a bit small for the teapot it came in. It was just the right amount for a post-lunch tea break. The spacious interior of the restaurant gave a nice open feeling, and we were able to chat leisurely.

But on a hot day, stepping outside into the scorching heat felt refreshing and pleasant. Third time, we went for lunch and matcha sweets. We tried the grass-fed beef steak, which was lean and healthy, with just the right amount of firmness. We also shared a vegan salad, which had a satisfying portion size. The salad dressing had several options to choose from, making us want to try them all. We couldn't resist ordering their matcha tiramisu served in a wooden box. It's a popular item here, with matcha powder on the top layer and a mildly sweet cream underneath. It was delicious, but we thought it would be even better if the matcha was distributed throughout the layers. 【2021.07.23】Enjoyed my time at the museum. It's tea time, a bit late but worth the wait. The café has a stylish atmosphere, specializing in matcha. Although I was full from lunch, I ordered the matcha tiramisu in a square box, which looked intriguing and is their recommended dish. It's very rich but refreshing with the matcha flavor. I paired it with Fukuoka Ukiah roasted Japanese black tea using southern iron, a stylish cup that I wish I could have more of. My companion had the matcha shake with whipped cream, very rich as well. The bread corner also caught my eye. The staff's service was impeccable.

I love this restaurant so much that I find myself driving there whenever I crave matcha tiramisu! The tiramisu served in a wooden box is a must-try for matcha lovers. They have also started serving bread, making the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside is that the cafe space is a bit tucked away in the back.

A cafe famous for its tiramisu served in cups. They have matcha and hojicha flavors. Despite looking small, the cups are deep and filling. Be careful, the powder on top sticks to your upper lip (lol). It was more tiramisu than I expected! The hojicha latte is sweet. The sweetness really hits you. The rich sweetness was very delicious.

After walking with JR Kyushu from Karatsu and transferring from JR to the subway at Imahama, I wanted to visit a shop recommended by HKT's Moripo (Madoka Moriyasu) on Instagram last September. I thought it was located by the sea like Marinocity or Marinatown, but it was actually on the opposite side, along the Metropolitan Expressway. The matcha tiramisu comes in a wooden box. If you order a drink, you get a 100 yen discount on dessert. I ordered a matcha latte for 470 yen and the tiramisu in the box for 400 yen, totaling 830 yen including tax. It seems they round down to the nearest 10 yen, so the total discount is actually 109 yen. After about 20 minutes of waiting, the desserts finally arrived. The subtly sweet tiramisu was soft and delicious. The matcha latte was also tasty, but I think a hojicha latte would have been a better match with the matcha tiramisu.

I was torn between ordering cake or roll cake, but I went with my friend's recommendation of matcha tiramisu and Yame green tea. The matcha tiramisu served in a masu cup was visually impressive! The matcha flavor was rich and delicious. I enjoyed the Yame green tea slowly brewed in a kyusu. Ordering a drink also got me a 100 yen discount on the tiramisu. In the morning, I visited Fukuoka Castle Ruins and Fukuoka Gokoku Shrine, and I was quite exhausted, but I decided to visit the matcha cafe in Niecehama that KAT-TUN had visited with Tamari Trip Plus. It's about a 10-minute walk from the station. There is also a parking lot, so it is much more convenient by car. Inside the store, there is a large counter and several tables. You order right after entering and pay in advance. I ordered ☆Matcha Tiramisu☆ and hojicha latte. I also wanted to try the matcha cheesecake, but I was too tired from walking, so I chose a cold hojicha latte. Since the KAT-TUN seat was already taken by another fan, I sat at the counter. The matcha tiramisu in a measuring cup was not too sweet and had a substantial amount. It had about five layers inside. It looked lovely and was delicious. On the other hand, the hojicha latte was incredibly sweet, almost as if the syrup amount was wrong. I asked for extra water to dilute it. I wished they would allow customers to adjust the sweetness themselves.
