I selected the side dishes through News Mile's Instagram and placed my order. I picked up the bentos at the scheduled time, about an hour after ordering. - Tamaben (Hamburger Steak and Chicken Nanban) 690 yen for my husband - Tamaben (Hamburger Steak and Pork Ginger) 690 yen for myself There are four sauce options for the hamburger steak, and we chose the demi-glace sauce. While noriben has seaweed covering the rice, Tamaben has a thin omelette on top. On top of the omelette, there are two side dishes, simmered carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, macaroni salad, and more. The hamburger steak had a perfect texture, not too soft or too tough, and the demi-glace sauce was flavorful, just as expected from a Western-style restaurant. The pork ginger featured thick slices of pork loin with a soy sauce-based sauce that had a strong ginger flavor, making it a perfect match with rice. The bento had generous portions of side dishes and was quite filling. The Chicken Nanban was also said to be delicious. At home, we made a simple salad to accompany this bento and enjoyed it with a glass of wine. It was a delightful meal.

I chose the Pork Ginger and Chicken Nanban for myself, and Meatballs and Shrimp Fry (+200 yen) for my wife, and patiently waited for our bentos to be ready. There were also phone orders coming in during the wait, showing that the place was quite popular. Once the bentos were ready, I took them home to enjoy. The Pork Ginger had thick slices of pork with a soy sauce-based sauce flavored with plenty of ginger, and the Chicken Nanban was delicious with a generous amount of tartar sauce. For takeout, the price is a very attractive 690 yen. Since I opted for delivery, the price was slightly higher. I had a hard time deciding, but ended up ordering the hamburger steak and shrimp fry. The shrimp fry was crispy and came with plenty of tartar sauce. The hamburger steak was topped with demiglace sauce, and a thin omelette was placed underneath, preventing the rice from getting too soggy. Lately, I've been at home a lot and haven't had much of an appetite, but I found myself finishing the meal in no time because it was so delicious. I was able to enjoy the News Mile meal even at home.

In the past, it seems like they used to offer dine-in options, but now they have renovated to become a take-out only shop. (I wanted to try eating Nikotamasupa in the restaurant...) The take-out menu has changed too, as you used to be able to add shrimp fry as a topping, but now toppings are not allowed. Before, when you requested no rice, there would be a generous amount of vegetables under the thin omelet, making it a satisfying and affordable bento box. I wish they would bring back the bento box from those days... I definitely miss it. The taste is undeniably delicious!! I plan to go back at a later time to buy again.
