"Itojima Don Pierre" #Itojima City, Shima Kokanmaru
Itojima Don Pierre, which opened in January this year, is a hidden gem restaurant located up a narrow road towards the mountains at the foot of a volcano. The restaurant offers authentic French cuisine in a calm atmosphere within a renovated traditional Japanese house. Next to the building, there is a vast goat ranch where dishes and desserts made from rich goat milk can be enjoyed.
The recommended item this time is the fluffy and creamy omurice from the lunch menu. Ordering it as a set is a great deal!
- Lunch Western course ¥3,200
Among them, the goat milk cream omurice is the top recommendation! The combination of the soft-boiled egg and goat milk is excellent, creating a rich and mellow flavor. Underneath is a hidden chicken rice, which is amazing! The chicken rice blends well with the rich cream and egg without being overshadowed by their strong flavors. The balance of flavors is incredible, and this dish is highly recommended and addictive!
The second recommendation is the Don Pierre special dry keema! The plate with the soft and fluffy omurice is sure to excite your taste buds. The combination of the soft-boiled egg and Don Pierre's keema is a luxurious and flavorful experience! The chef, who honed his skills at Ginza Don Pierre, has truly created exceptional dishes.
Itojima Don Pierre is a restaurant that I would definitely like to recommend to everyone. Thank you for the wonderful meal!
*In the vast goat ranch adjacent to the restaurant, you can also feed the newly born baby goats. It might be a good place for families with children.

This is a restaurant located in a quiet area slightly up in the mountains on the Itoshima Peninsula. I had omurice, which I think is delicious, especially the creamy sauce is very milky and tasty. However, there is no air conditioning, only a fan, so it can be a bit hot, and since the restaurant is fully open, insects occasionally come inside, so be careful.

【2023.07.10】I arrived at the restaurant despite the heavy rain and flood warnings, even a special alert. It used to be in Itanazourisato. It has been relocated and reopened. This place is a whole traditional house. It has a very charming appearance. As I didn't have much time, I had to give up on the course menu. For now, I decided to try the best of what they offer: domPierre's special Keema Curry. The fluffy omelette is made with local eggs, using three of them. The staff showed me how it was made. The Keema Curry surrounding it had a nice texture of meat and a smooth curry flavor. I was also recommended to try the Goat Milk, unique to the goat farm. There are also items on the menu that use goat milk. I briefly thought about getting a dessert set, but I stopped at this point.

At home, my Kai dog loves goats for some reason, and he goes crazy in the car with a high-pitched noise when we enter the path leading to the goat farm. The adult goats don't come close to the dog, but the baby goats are curious and approach, which makes my dog very happy. He also loves goat milk. Today, we visited a goat farm where we recently moved in. We didn't have a reservation, so we had to wait a bit. We ordered a la carte from the menu, the Itoshima omelette rice for 1800 yen, the hamburger omelette rice for 2500 yen, and sangria for 800 yen. The omelette rice was delicious but nothing special. We bought goat pudding on the way back, with two options - regular and premium. The premium one is made with 100% goat milk, while the regular one was a bit vague about its ingredients. Overall, the farm has potential, and I look forward to seeing improvements in the future.

I had goat milk omelette rice ⭐︎ I was worried that goat milk might have a strong smell, but there was none! Instead, it had a gentle milk fragrance. The creamy sauce wrapped around the fluffy eggs, and with each bite, I felt happiness. The slightly tangy ketchup rice harmonized the whole dish. For dessert, I had caramel pudding. It was not too sweet and had a soft texture, just the way I like it ♡ It's a restaurant with a moist, adult atmosphere.

First visit. It was my first time in Itoshima City, so I took a taxi and gave the address. Along the way, I entered a narrow road and all I could see were goats. I became even more anxious, haha. After about a minute of continuing on, I found the entrance to the shop. I climbed the stone steps, passed through the gate, and saw a shop renovated from an old folk house. Upon entering the shop, there was a shop selling products made with goat milk, followed by a sunken hearth room, and further back was the restaurant. I waited for less than 5 minutes and was seated inside. I ordered the omelette rice with demi-glace and goat milk cream sauce on the side. I also ordered a local beer from Itoshima, and after the meal, goat milk plain pudding and fresh goat milk. The Itoshima beer arrived shortly after ordering. The Weizen beer had a slightly smoked aroma, and it was said to be made by a local brewery, very easy to drink and fragrant. Then came the omelette rice. It looked delicious with two colored sauces. First, I tried the demi-glace sauce. The fluffy egg mixed with the demi-glace was subtly sweet and elegantly finished. The inside was chicken ketchup rice, but it also had a refined taste without being too assertive. The demi-glace and chicken ketchup rice complemented each other without clashing, enhancing the sweetness of the egg. It was a wonderful finish with each flavor standing out. Next, I tried the goat milk cream sauce. What is this!! It was so delicious!! It wasn't too sweet, and the sauce had a taste that went well with the omelette rice. It was so delicious that I ate the demi-glace first and saved this one for last. After that, I had the goat milk pudding. This was also delicious. And then the fresh goat milk. This was also delicious. I'm not sure if it was heat-treated, but it had a taste that made me feel various nutrients and components before heat treatment! By the way, it seems that it's not always available, and I heard that it can only be obtained for a short time from small goats. On this day, it seemed that there was no goat milk ice cream instead. Probably many local people were there for the ice cream. Anyway, I highly recommend it! If you go to Itoshima, be sure to stop by (^O^) On the way back, I bought a honey pudding and two pet goat milk for my dog as gifts for the taxi driver who came to pick me up (separate charge). Thank you for the meal! It was incredibly delicious! Thank you!

The food was delicious, but the service was poor. They let people without reservations go in first, while those with reservations had to wait. Some people who came in without reservations were seated before us, even though we had a reservation. It's a shame because the food was so good.

Itojima Don Pierre is a serene restaurant located within the premises of Itojima Yagi Farm, housed in a renovated traditional Japanese house. They serve Western and French cuisine, with popular dishes like fluffy omelette rice made with goat milk cream, dry keema curry, and omelette rice with demiglace sauce. The omelette rice made with goat milk cream is particularly delicious, with a rich and smooth flavor. You can also enjoy feeding the goats at the farm for just 100 yen, and they come running when you call them. Don't miss out on trying the goat milk pudding, it's highly recommended.

The food was satisfying. It was disappointing that an elderly staff member was not very friendly, lacked a smile, and provided service in a very indifferent manner. Additionally, we had to ask for dessert as it did not come automatically after the meal, although drinks were served.
