On May 23rd (Tuesday), I took a half day off in the morning for errands and headed to Nishitanabe. After finishing my business around 10:30 AM, I started walking east and stumbled upon "Udon Yukino," a very popular restaurant in Nishitanabe. Since it was still early and there was no line, I decided to check it out. I was seated at the counter and ordered the following: - Tempura Udon (900 yen) - Mixed Rice (100 yen) Here is a brief review: Tempura Udon: This dish consisted of shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura served on top of udon noodles. The tempura included shrimp, shiso leaf, eggplant, pumpkin, topped with bonito flakes and chopped nori seaweed, and garnished with fresh green onions. You can choose to have it hot or cold, and I chose hot. The noodles were amazing, with a great texture and delicious broth. The tempura was also excellent, with crispy and tasty shrimp, eggplant, pumpkin, and shiso. Definitely worth the 900 yen price tag! Mixed Rice: This side dish was available for only 100 yen when ordered with udon. It had a glossy and elegant flavor, and I believe it was of the highest quality. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal at this restaurant. They do not offer noodle refills or alcohol, but I left feeling completely satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal!

We went around 11:30 on a weekday, which was easy to get in for two people (or even a single woman). There was no line outside, just one group waiting inside, and we were seated right away. However, by around noon, there was quite a line forming. It's definitely a popular spot! We ordered the "tenoroshi" (tempura over rice with grated daikon) with an extra topping of fried mochi. The shrimp tempura was incredibly delicious. The seasonal vegetable tempura was also tasty and there was a lot of food. The udon noodles were chewy and delicious. The fried mochi was also good, but it was too much to eat alone... There are two pieces of fried mochi, so if you go with two people, make sure to share. We almost felt like we were going to burst from eating so much, haha. Next time, we'll just order the "tenbukkake" (tempura over rice) by itself! Thank you for the meal!

I visited around 11 am on a weekday and there was already a line, so I waited for about 20 minutes. I ordered the "Ten Oroshi Udon" and "Kakigohan" for around 1000 yen per person (cash only). I also added fried mochi for 100 yen. Overall, I like this udon restaurant the best because of the flavor, the firmness and smoothness of the udon noodles, and the delicious tempura. Even though you can't order a large portion, the serving size is satisfying.

I arrived around 11:40 on a normal day. The restaurant was already full, with about 5 people waiting inside and outside. I ordered while waiting in line, so I was seated and served within a few minutes. The limited quantity mixed rice is a great deal when added to the udon set for an extra 100 yen. The cold Bukkake udon with mixed rice for 1000 yen comes with toppings such as shiso leaves, pumpkin, eggplant, seaweed, shrimp tempura, bonito flakes, grated ginger, and chopped green onions. The eggplant and pumpkin tempura are thick, and the udon portion is generous for its price. It's a typical Osaka-style udon, and I was very satisfied.

Ordered: - Tempura Udon for 900 yen - Tempura Zaru Udon for 1,200 yen The restaurant opened at 10:30, a bit earlier than other places. I thought since it's an udon shop, there wouldn't be a line, but to my surprise, there was a line of customers waiting outside when I arrived just after 10:30. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I was seated. The interior had counter and table seats, creating a relaxed atmosphere typical of an udon shop. The wait from ordering to serving was not too long. I ordered the Zaru Udon, and the noodles looked fresh and delicious. The texture was smooth and the noodles had a nice firmness. The broth was not as salty as usual, with a rich umami flavor from kelp and bonito flakes. The combination of the delicious noodles and flavorful broth made it a great meal. Unfortunately, they did not offer a large portion, which was a bit disappointing because I wanted more. My wife's Tempura Udon had a sweet broth with a strong dashi flavor. The tempura was good but nothing exceptional. The service was polite and attentive.

The chewiness of the udon here is different from Fukuoka's udon. It has a good texture without being too soft. The broth is also a flavor that everyone would enjoy. The tempura is crispy and delicious. The only downside is that the dishes take a while to come out, so it's best to come around 11 am when it's not too crowded. You can order the fried mochi, it tastes nostalgic and delicious. The interior of the restaurant is clean and quiet, making it a comfortable place to enjoy your meal.

We arrived at 11:50 and there were 6 people waiting. We waited for about 15 minutes before being able to enter. Despite the scorching August heat, we ordered the warm tempura kitsune udon without hesitation. The slightly thick and chewy noodles were paired with exquisite broth. The tempura was delicious with a perfect crispy coating, and just the right amount. The shrimp was also large and substantial.

I always used to pass by this place because of the long line, but... huh... no line today... Is this my chance? (laughs) I quickly parked at the counter and got a seat in about 5 minutes while waiting for just one person. The space with three seats at the counter, two more seats at another counter, and two tables is nice and quiet. Since they didn't have chilled noodles, I struggled to decide and ended up ordering mochi with rice and various toppings. It had fried mochi, shiso tempura, bonito flakes, tempura crumbs, chopped seaweed, green onions, and grated ginger, creating a colorful and delicious dish. The smooth and chewy mochi was just perfect, and the rice with toppings was flavorful and satisfying. I also tried the dish with dashi broth, which was equally delicious. The option to add the rice with toppings for an extra 100 yen during lunchtime was a great deal, but it seems to be limited in quantity. Thanks for the meal! I went there after a long time (*´꒳`*) I arrived at 10:15 am on a weekday, and I was the first in line. The store opens at 10:30 am, and there were two groups behind me. I ordered ★ Tempura Curry (with thin tempura) ★ Tempura Udon (cold) ★ Mixed Rice with Pickles. First, the Tempura Udon had shrimp, shiso leaf, pumpkin, eggplant, and seaweed on top - it was delicious with the flavorful bonito flakes. The noodles were thick and flat, with a smooth and chewy texture that was not too firm. The Tempura Curry had a generous amount of thin and large tempura pieces, with a light and fluffy texture. The noodles had a good bite and firmness. The Mixed Rice had a nice color and flavor, with the rice grains coated evenly. Overall, I enjoyed the noodles at this restaurant, although the service from the female staff was a bit cold. Just a small complaint. Thank you for the meal! 🍽️

First time visiting this restaurant! I had the tempura cold soba set with extra rice for 1000 yen. I was surprised by how delicious the tempura was. The rice was fluffy and tasty, the broth was delicious, and the noodles were simple but tasty. Thank you for the meal. I had a bit of trouble finding parking, but I think it was just because it was full at the time. It might have been because of an event at Nagai Park. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and has a sense of cleanliness throughout.

For 26 years, this popular restaurant has had a line every day. When it first opened, it refused interviews. I first noticed the long line while riding my bike along Minatominami Street 26 years ago. The "Tendon" set meal costs 1050 yen, the "Tendon" alone costs 950 yen, and the side dish rice costs 330 yen, but on weekdays, the side dish rice is only 100 yen. Given the current situation, these prices are quite cheap. The tempura, made with shrimp, eggplant, seaweed, and shiso leaf, is always crispy. The udon noodles, made with freshly grated daikon radish, ginger, and a rich broth, are chewy and smooth, perfect for slurping. Whenever I come here, the food is consistently delicious.

To Udon Yukino, we arrived at 11 o'clock and were fourth in line. The age group of the people waiting in line is on the higher side. Many people are coming by bicycle. Today we ordered the "Tembukkake" for 900 yen each and a side of rice for 100 yen. If you order the rice with your udon, it's an additional 100 yen. There is a limited quantity available. The taste is elegant, with a good aroma, and we always order it. The "Tembukkake" comes with 5 types of tempura: shrimp, seaweed, eggplant, pumpkin, and shiso leaf, all of which are very delicious. You can choose between cold or hot, and for an additional 50 yen, you can add grated daikon. Toppings like fried mochi for 100 yen and shrimp tempura for 250 yen are also available. The udon here has a nice chewy texture and a unique mouthfeel that is addictive. The broth is incredibly delicious. This is my fifth visit, and I've only ever tried the "Tembukkake". I want to try other dishes, but I always end up ordering the "Tembukkake". The tempura, broth, and noodles are all top-notch! Overall, it's a highly satisfying dining experience.

I always order the tempura curry with extra toppings of mixed vegetable rice, and today was no exception. Oh, it was so delicious! The curry broth, tempura, noodles, mixed vegetable rice, everything was perfect! But I forgot that I have a sensitive tongue (laughs). Thank you for the meal!

"Tsukemen with toppings + rice: 1000 yen. The restaurant opens at 10:00 on Saturdays. Arrived at 10:21, 6 people waiting. 2 more people joined the line at 10:23, and another 2 at 10:25. Two more people joined the line at around 10:???. Finally got seated at 10:42, with 4 people still waiting. Left at 11:00, with 14 people still waiting. According to the Eatery Rating Criteria: 5.0 - Top in the prefecture, 4.5 - Top in the city (district), 4.0 - Ranked high in the city (district), 3.5 - Delicious, 3.0 - Average, 2.0 - Bad, 1.0 - Give me my money back, 0.0 - I want my money back."

Udon restaurant located about a 7-minute walk from Nishitanabe Station on the Midosuji Line. I arrived at 11:20 am on a Saturday, but there were about 13 people waiting outside. I waited for about 35 minutes before being seated, but by 12:00 pm, they had run out of udon due to the waiting customers. The restaurant's operating hours are from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, which is already short, so it was surprising that they sold out by the midpoint of their hours. I ordered the Tempura Udon (cold) for 900 yen. Just a note, they don't offer a large size. The noodles weren't very firm, but the broth for the udon was delicious. The broth had a slight sweetness that made it uniquely tasty. The tempura consisted of eggplant, pumpkin, shiso leaf, and shrimp, all freshly fried and very tasty.

I visited Udon Yukino today with my wife because it was delicious. When I drove past, I saw a line, so I quickly parked my car. For parking, I recommend the lot diagonally across from Nitori. We arrived at 11 o'clock and were 7th in line. It's getting hot now, so women should bring a parasol. We were seated 15 minutes later. We ordered two Hiyashi-Ten udon for 950 yen each and an extra bowl of rice for 100 yen, totaling 2000 yen. Bringing my wife was the right choice as she really enjoyed the meal. On our way out, there were about 8 people waiting outside. It's a popular spot, and I was amazed to see the owner managing the kitchen alone. The unique texture of the udon, the fragrant bonito broth, and the delicious tempura reaffirmed to me that this is a top-notch restaurant!

I have visited my favorite udon restaurant many times! I arrived at the opening time of 10:30, but it was already full. Today, I had the "ten-oroshi bukkake" udon. The noodles had a great texture, and the tempura was crispy. They have a variety of menu options, so I want to try other dishes as well! Last night, I suddenly had a fever and was worried, but by early morning, my temperature returned to normal. Thank you for your concern! Today, I managed to visit both Abiko and Tezukayama in the morning. For lunch, I went to a place near my home that I haven't been to in a while. The menu looked good, and I couldn't decide what to eat. I ended up ordering the cold kakiage with grated daikon for 950 yen, along with some mixed vegetable rice for an extra 100 yen. The kakiage with burdock, carrot, potato, and small shrimp was delicious, and the mixed vegetable rice was also excellent. The chewy udon with grated radish was the best. It's a revisit after a week, arrived at 10:20 am and I'm the third in line. Last time, the cold udon was so delicious that this time I decided to try the hot udon. Upon opening, there were already 8 people waiting in line, showing its popularity. I ordered the Niku Toji (beef and egg) and the 100 yen set of Kakiage rice on weekdays. The dish arrived promptly. I first tried the beef, then the noodles, and finally the Kakiage rice. The noodles were as smooth and chewy as ever, with a great texture. Although it was delicious, the hot udon seemed to mask the goodness of the noodles, so I think next time I'll go for the cold udon again.

I arrived at the restaurant at 10:35, but it was full. I waited in line for about 20 minutes and finally got a seat. The food was delicious as always. By the time I left, there was only a little bit of kaya rice left. I recommend the udon and kaya rice set! ✨

This is my first visit. I arrived at exactly 10:30 am and became the first person on the waiting list as the restaurant was full. I ordered "ten-orooshi" and was seated at a table even though I was dining alone. I met the chef at 11:30 am and had a bite of the hot tempura before enjoying the noodles. The noodles were thick and had a satisfying chewiness, yet were smooth and had a nice texture. Honestly, this is the best udon I have ever had. I was truly impressed.
