I had to go out, so before that, I decided to have a "morning" meal ＼(^ω^)／!! The place I went to was a traditional coffee shop in the Awajimachi shopping street, which is becoming my favorite street lately...(^_^;)) The atmosphere was really nice. Here is what we ordered: - mydarling: sandwich set (with coffee) - me: toast (with tea) Dealing with the effects of the coronavirus is tough, but coming to a cozy coffee shop like this really cheers me up. I entered the cafe with a Showa retro atmosphere because the sign for "Pinocchio" was cute, and had their morning set. The egg sandwich and coffee were delicious. It had a cozy atmosphere where regular customers seemed to enjoy chatting.

Number of visits: 1 visit The interior of the cafe had a slightly old-fashioned feel to it. As I looked around, I noticed a table with retro game consoles from the Showa era, reminiscent of old game cafes. There was only one table, but it was still there, and there was a seat available to sit at. It brought back memories of playing Pac-Man and Space Invaders at cafes when I was younger (even though I didn't actually play much back then). However, to my surprise, the game on the console was adult-themed strip mahjong! Upon closer inspection, I noticed the name of the game manufacturer was Japan Product... I didn't know Japan Product also made adult games. When I looked it up on my phone, I found out it was a different Japan Product known for adult games... The cafe had many amusing quirks and it was quite entertaining (hence the high atmosphere rating). It's a place where you can find things to joke about. I would like to keep this cafe in mind as a place for fun banter. The breakfast was very cheap. The taste was average, with a small amount of filling in the sandwich, and the coffee didn't seem freshly brewed. But at this price, it was a good deal. The boiled egg was perfectly cooked, which I personally enjoyed.

Exiting from the west entrance of Awaji Station, the shop is located on the second floor, so you need to climb the stairs outside the store. I ordered the F set with hot coffee (sandwich, salad, boiled egg, fruit). Let's try it out! The sandwich was a standard egg sandwich. The salad was neither good nor bad. The boiled egg was hard-boiled. The coffee was quite light with a slightly acidic taste, which wasn't to my liking. Overall, it was an inexpensive meal at 350 yen, but with most people smoking, the atmosphere wasn't very pleasant.

I was looking for a café around the station when I came across Pinocchio. I had been walking deep into the shopping street but the first glimpse of Pinocchio caught my attention, so I ended up returning near the station and entering. I actually love this type of café so much that I went out of my way to search in the shopping street. What caught my eye was the words "Pilaf Set." I have a weakness for this. Climbing the narrow stairs, I had high expectations for the wooden door. The place was quite busy, and even though I was alone, they guided me to a table for four. There was a display of horse racing items all over the wall. I wanted to see the names of the horses, but I refrained from doing so as it might disturb other customers. When I ordered the pilaf, I could hear the pleasant sound of it being cooked in a frying pan, not from frozen. The set came with soup and salad, and the dressing was delicious. The pilaf also had my favorite red Fukujinzuke. Everything was just to my liking. Plus, it came with a drink. All of this for only 780 yen. Amazing! Thank you very much. I will definitely visit again.

I went to Cafe Pinocchio in the shopping street near Awaji Station. I had been there once before and the omurice was delicious, so this time I also had the omurice. It's not the fluffy kind, but a solid omurice that tastes great. The atmosphere is like a Showa-era coffee shop, which is quite nice. There were quite a few regular customers both last time and this time. They all seemed to be dining alone. The morning menu seems to offer good value. I wanted to come for breakfast, but unfortunately, it seems that Sundays are their regular closing day.
