Another fun dish was the "oyster Jenga," where you challenge yourself to stack as many oysters as you can in a transparent container in 30 seconds. I managed to stack 8 oysters! The oysters can be served as raw or grilled. I also tried "shirasu scooping," a challenge to catch shirasu from the sea, which was a fun experience. The seafood dishes like Uopuku roll and luxurious seafood salad were fresh and delicious. They also offer meat dishes like grilled beef tongue and black wagyu tataki. Before 6:00 PM, the only option available was a sashimi assortment, so I decided to give up and try another place for our second stop. Even though the restaurant was still empty, they said they were sold out already - that was quick! I ended up just having some appetizers and left right away. It seems like a fun place, especially for families with children.

This was my first time visiting. The salmon was so delicious that I thought "I've never tasted anything this good before!" All the sashimi was also delicious. I was thrilled to see umesuishi on the menu (I don't see it often). However, the torotaku for the finale had a sweet roll that seemed like it could fall apart, and the filling was a bit disappointing as it felt lacking. Also, it would have been nice if the table was a little bigger.

I visited with the theme of "instagrammable". I made a reservation for the "Tamatebako" in advance, which cost around 5000 yen for two tiers. It was even more luxurious than I had imagined. The flavors were all fresh and delicious. The all-you-can-eat oysters allow you to eat as many as you can stack in 30 seconds. Additionally, they have a wide variety of sake, which is a delight for sake lovers.

The restaurant opens at 4:00 PM in the evening. I was grateful for the opportunity. I tried the "Oyster Jenga" game where you can stack oysters for 30 seconds, and managed to get 10 oysters thanks to my friend's efforts. The total cost was 2640 yen including tax, but I later realized there was a coupon available. It's a lot of fun, so I recommend trying it with the coupon for an even better experience.

On East Street, they advertised that you could eat fish caught from the fish tank, so my friends wanted to go and I was looking forward to it, so we made a reservation for 5 people and visited for the first time. But when we got there... the fish tank was barely the size of one tatami mat? And no one was actually fishing! Also, they wanted to charge about 7000 yen for the fish we caught, so we decided not to fish. We tried other menu items instead... the taste was neither good nor bad. However, the food and drinks we ordered took a long time to arrive, but they were quick to charge for the drinks! It seemed like they were very strict about that... I had a feeling of unease when I saw the same photos being recycled on Instagram the day before, and my unease turned out to be true. I don't think I will ever go there again.

It's a 6-minute walk from Higashi-Umeda Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line, at Uopuku Seafood Izakaya. In December 2019, it was reborn in the gourmet district "Nomoka" in the renovated "Izumi no Hiroba" at Whity Umeda, which has become quite beautiful now. But there was a rumor at one time that a red-dressed ghost would appear, right? Scary. Just up from the M6 stairs of the former "Izumi no Hiroba" to the ground. There was a tip that there was an interesting izakaya in the food and beverage building "Hakuba Bld"... We went to visit with my partner right away. I visited the restaurant on a Saturday night after work. I made a reservation for two at 7:30 PM, but we were told that the earliest available time was around 8:00 PM. We decided to wait and were eventually seated at a table for four. We ordered non-alcoholic drinks and then proceeded to order our food through the smartphone menu. We ordered dishes such as beef tongue bacon Caesar salad, assorted sashimi, smoked cheese with cream cheese, adult potato fries with truffle, Murotsu oyster with ponzu sauce, fried octopus, nigiri sushi with fresh octopus, amaebi, and ika, and salmon belly and salmon roe rice bowl. The rice bowl took about 20 minutes to prepare, so it's best to order it early. The salmon belly rice bowl was delicious, as recommended by the staff. Overall, the seafood dishes paired well with alcohol and would be great for a group gathering.

Try your hand at fishing and have it cooked for you. It can be challenging but rewarding. I caught a sea bream and chose to have it prepared as sashimi and simmered. The simmered dish was amazing! You can also order raw oysters or grilled oysters individually, starting from 429 yen. For groups of three or more, I recommend trying the Oyster Jenga (2,640 yen) challenge! In just 30 seconds, you can get all the oysters you've stacked. The Uopuku roll (1,408 yen) with plenty of salmon roe and sea urchin is a delight. Enjoy it with some sake. The carpaccio is also generously topped with fish. It's a fish festival! The assorted sashimi plate (1,738 yen) has thick slices of fresh fish, all delicious. Be careful not to overeat. The Gout Donburi (1,650 yen) is an absolute must-try. Just dig in without any worries. For dessert, try the Ume Dashi Ochazuke (638 yen) and the Ice Pudding Catalana (368 yen). The Catalana was surprisingly delicious! On weekends, the restaurant is bustling with groups of 4-5 friends or colleagues. We visited the restaurant with our older children, where we had three enjoyable experiences: 1) Fishing - we caught a beautiful sea bream in just a few minutes, and the sashimi was delicious. 2) Oyster Jenga - a game where we had to transfer oysters from a plate to a bowl within 30 seconds. We managed to transfer 6 oysters. 3) Shirasu scooping - we scooped shirasu once and enjoyed it with grated daikon. The restaurant offers a variety of seafood and other dishes suitable for families. The kids' room was clean and would have been helpful if our children were younger. They also have a wide selection of drinks, with over 50 types of sake available.

In the heart of Umeda, there is a unique izakaya where you can experience fishing inside the restaurant. There is a fishing pond inside the restaurant, and on this day, there were many sea bream swimming around. It was a bit challenging to catch them, but also fun! After trying for about 20 minutes, I finally caught one! The sea bream I caught was prepared as sashimi and simmered dish on the same day. We also enjoyed other photogenic dishes and fresh seafood. The restaurant offers entertainment for both kids and adults, with separate smoking and non-smoking areas. It was a fun izakaya experience!

Uofuku in Higashi Umeda is a restaurant where you can have freshly caught fish cooked on the spot. This time, I didn't go fishing but ordered individual dishes. I had a bowl of ikura and ankimo (monkfish liver) on rice, as well as a dish made with the collar of the day, which was salt-grilled salmon collar on this occasion. Other dishes we tried included dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelette), sashimi platter, ankimo with ponzu sauce, smoked herring cheese, kisu (Japanese whiting) tempura, and octopus tempura. The menu is extensive and everything was delicious! The salt-grilled salmon collar, in particular, was amazing!

I went to a seafood izakaya called Uopuku in Higashi Umeda! When I went up the elevator, I was surprised by the spacious wooden interior! The menu includes fun options like shirasu scooping, oyster Jenga, and fishing pond, suitable for both adults and children. What I noticed when I went there is that the menu and space are very versatile, catering to parties, company gatherings, friends, and families with children. I was surprised to find a kids' room as well! They have a wide selection of sake, so you can enjoy your favorite sake brand. I had a great time there! Thank you for the meal! Here are my thoughts on the taste: - Shirasu Scooping: You can rescue shirasu like goldfish scooping and top it with grated daikon. It was quite successful, and the flavor of the shirasu paired well with the daikon, making it a healthy choice. - Gout Ponzu: A combination of raw oysters, ankimo, ikura, and tobiko. This one was not good. It might give you gout. But the tobiko added a nice touch! - Deluxe Seafood Salad: A salad topped with a variety of seafood slices. The wasabi dressing was refreshing and delicious. - Oyster Jenga: An attraction where you can eat as many oysters as you stack in 30 seconds. I chose the raw oysters, and stacking up 9 pieces made me happy. The oysters were flavorful without any fishy taste. - Uopuku Roll: A nori roll with uni, ikura, and tobiko. This is also a gout issue, but your taste buds will be delighted when you eat it. - Thai Sashimi: Thai fish caught in a live tank and served as sashimi. It was very chewy and fresh, with the tail still moving, which surprised me. - Grilled Thai Fish: The Thai fish I caught earlier grilled with salt. The flesh was tender with just the right amount of salt, and the crispy skin added to the enjoyment. The meat miso on the side was a bit too much for a sake pairing, making the sake go down too easily. - Yellowtail Simmered Dish: The staff suddenly brought a bucket full of fish collars, surprising me. You can choose your favorite fish to be grilled or simmered. I ordered the simmered yellowtail, which was sweet and full of flavor, perfect for those who love simmered dishes! - Izumo Fuji Aki Kumo Sake: A sake with a rich rice flavor and sweetness, a refreshing taste, and a crisp finish. It also has a light mature aroma and a sense of Japanese sake. - Akabu Sake: A sake with a strong rice flavor and a mild taste, making it easy to drink even for beginners. It has a slight accent of acidity. - Mitsui's Kotobuki Porcini Hiya Oroshi Sake: When you take a sip, there is a low alcohol sensation. You can feel the sweetness and spiciness, and the sake has a strong aroma like porcini, which is delightful for those who love fragrances. - Suigei Sake: When you taste it, the umami, spiciness, acidity, and alcohol sensation spread well in balance. It has a good finish, making it the best pairing with dishes.
