In Osaka Tomitabayashi, there is a restaurant called Kibarashi✨ I have been going there for 30 years, and when I talked about the old days, they were surprised. The blowfish was still moving~☝️ The sashimi was also fresh. I ordered octopus tempura, beef tendon, and sweet potato tempura separately, and they were all delicious. The dessert came with tea for 600 yen☕️ The course menu was 5,500 yen. The first picture was taken with a normal camera. The cold sake was dry and refreshing✨ Lastly, there was a rice porridge❤️ I had three bowls of it~

When it comes to blowfish in Tondabayashi City, there is no doubt that this is the place to go! The blowfish served in the hot pot is fresh and still moving on the table. The side dishes are also fresh and incredibly delicious! It's not too formal, but it's still classy! They also have private rooms, making it a perfect place for special occasions like anniversaries. Thank you for the meal!

Two stations from Tondabayashi Station in Osaka, there is a restaurant called "Kibarashi" near Kawashi Station, known for serving blowfish in winter and conger eel in summer. Tonight, I was invited to their annual "Summer Heat Relief Conger Eel Hot Pot Party"! After exploring Tondabayashi, I met up with friends at the station and quickly arrived at the restaurant. The first floor is a cake shop called "Blanc". The entrance next to it, with its high-quality white wooden design, might make you mistake it for a sushi restaurant. Upon entering, you'll find a spacious interior with a traditional Japanese atmosphere and a large aquarium that immediately catches your eye. The restaurant has a relaxed layout with a counter and four sunken kotatsu-style tables, perfect for families or groups. Tonight, we had a private party in the back banquet hall. Everyone was drinking, so special sake bottles of "Juyondai (Yamagata)" and "Sawayamatsumoto Shuhari (Kyoto)" were brought out. It's been a while since I've had Juyondai! Elegant aroma, smooth taste, and a lingering finish. A truly exquisite sake. The dishes served included water eggplant, sweet potato tempura, and more. Finally, the conger eel arrived! Served with two types of broth, it was tender and delicious. We also enjoyed conger eel hot pot with somen noodles and beaten egg, followed by conger eel sushi. It was a night filled with delicious food and sake. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

There is no fugu restaurant of this quality in Fuchu! The atmosphere is also nice, so please visit! There are tatami rooms, so it is good for families with children too. I love the fugu skin ponzu that comes with the appetizers! The tessa was also incredibly delicious!

On November 8th, we celebrated my father's 81st birthday at Kibarashi. We have visited a few times before, and this time we not only had the fugu hot pot, but also ordered some individual dishes. We had mackerel sushi, horse sashimi, Akashi octopus tempura, and everything was fresh! The hot pot was, of course, fresh and the fugu was still moving. My father loves fin sake, so he enjoyed some drinks as well! I had a taste and the fin's aroma was really nice. It's a hidden gem of a restaurant where we could relax. I forgot to take photos again because I get too excited about the food. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had my first authentic fugu kaiseki meal. It was a long-awaited meal with my two sisters! The portion was just right for us girls and everything was delicious. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was stylish and calming. Next time, I want to bring my husband and mother-in-law with me.

I invited my parents for a birthday lunch at a restaurant that is located in the same building as my favorite cake shop "Blanc" but has a hidden, almost secret, vibe to it as there is no prominent sign. You enter through a door on the building's wall that makes you wonder if it's the entrance (laughs). The interior of the restaurant is very clean and bright. The "Mini Kaiseki" course requires advance reservation. We were told that private rooms are available for parties of six or more, so I thought we would be seated at a regular table, but they actually had a private room ready for us on the day of our visit! The room had a sunken kotatsu-style seating which was very comfortable. I'm grateful for that. There was no menu, so we didn't know what to expect (laughs). It was a surprise on the day of our visit. The course included: sesame tofu, simmered fuki (butterbur), firefly squid with vinegar miso dressing, pufferfish sushi, pufferfish skin in hot water, Spanish mackerel, duck, sashimi (tuna, sea bream), pufferfish hot pot (with 2 slices of pufferfish), tempura (crab claw, taranome, nagaimo, etc.), tessa (thinly sliced raw fish), rice, miso soup, pickles, and dessert (matcha ice cream and strawberry & vanilla sherbet). I didn't expect so much pufferfish on the menu, so I was pleasantly surprised. The rice was fluffy and delicious. The overall taste was good, the presentation was beautiful, the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and the service was excellent. It's not the kind of place you stumble upon (because the existence of the restaurant is not obvious), and reservations are often required due to its popularity. I understand why. I would like to visit again next time for their casual bento lunch rather than the formal kaiseki course.

The photo doesn't show it, but we were served firefly squid with vinegar miso dressing, sesame tofu topped with salmon roe, and kinpira as appetizers. Everything was delicious! The fried dishes and grilled eel were probably the best. I'm not a big fan of pike conger eel, but it was surprisingly tasty. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calming, and the staff were very friendly. The drinks were also perfectly strong.

When I visited before, it was full and I was turned away, so this is my revenge. I happened to pass by around noon so I went in. They asked if I was okay with sharing a private room, and I was like, "What? What does that mean?" But it was fine. They showed me to a private room that could fit about 8 people, so it was more like sharing the room with others, but it was spacious enough to be split into 4 and 4. They said they only had bento boxes for ordering, and I was fine with that. They warned me that it would take some time, so I was like, "Okay, I'll wait," but if I had been a regular customer, I might have gotten irritated at the timing. But they brought it to me at just the right moment when I was starting to wonder if it would ever come. The presentation was so elegant, and I really felt like having a beer. Each dish was well-prepared. If you were to eat normally, it might be considered expensive. Please provide a photo of the contents. It seems like a place where ladies would gather, a bit pricey but with a slightly high-class feel. The taste was superb. I have high hopes for dinner too. It's quite close to the station and overall, it's good.

Today, my mother and I wanted to go to a lunch place we liked, but it was fully booked, so we made a reservation at this restaurant instead. We decided to switch things up and go for Japanese cuisine. I had passed by this place before, thinking it was old, but today I was pleasantly surprised. The entrance was a door on a wall, which made me excited. They only served bento boxes today, but the meal was so luxurious that I couldn't believe they called it a bento. It included tempura, sashimi, and delicious soup. The red miso soup was my favorite. We were seated in a tatami room this time, but I think the counter seats would be lovely for a couple. The decor was stylish and the wood was beautiful. I can imagine having a relaxing dinner here. I will definitely come back, maybe for a blowfish dinner with my family next time.

I finally got to go to a restaurant that I've always wanted to visit. I've called this place 3-4 times before, but it was always full and I couldn't make a reservation. However, on this day, even though it was last minute and I was alone, I was able to get a reservation! There is plenty of parking available (I have attached a photo for reference). The atmosphere of the restaurant was surprisingly beautiful and spacious, different from what I had imagined. I ordered a bento box for ¥1620, and it was luxurious! The freshly fried tempura was incredibly delicious. The other dishes were also tasty with delicious dashi broth. There are many small dishes to enjoy, so it's a fun experience. I thought it was definitely worth trying. I would like to go again.

I visited a lovely couple for dinner and drinks meeting. We had sashimi, hot pot, sushi, and other dishes, all of which were delicious. I was the only one drinking, and the couple took turns asking questions, so I ended up talking a lot. I ate quickly, which was a shame. I will treat them next time. Thank you for the meal!

February 1, 2010 (Monday) Upon entering the store, I immediately took off my shoes and entered the store. The interior, made of white wood, exudes a sense of cleanliness and luxury. In addition to table seating, there were also about three private rooms. I ordered the popular seasonal Kibarashi bento at this restaurant. It is smoke-free here, and enjoying Japanese cuisine in this atmosphere is very delicious. I would like to come back in the evening to have some hot sake. May 11, 2010 (Tuesday) 11:20 AM I arrived at the outer loop, so I made a reservation for 12 o'clock and went to "Kibarashi." I took off my shoes at the entrance and sat in the tatami room. It is not crowded today, only one other group has arrived. I had ordered the "Kibarashi bento" over the phone. The kiss, pumpkin, shishito peppers, and shrimp tempura were seasoned with matcha salt. The crab was cute, and the seasonal vegetables were a nice touch. Everything was elegantly seasoned this time, and it was very delicious. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal. December 25, 2010 (Saturday) It's snowing today... so cold. 11:30 AM visit. You can even have a hot pot for lunch. I ordered the live hot pot course for two people (10500 yen). Due to customer requests, smoking is prohibited at lunchtime... so I was guided to a private room at the back where smoking is allowed. Here, you can smoke cigarettes. The live hot pot course includes boiled fish, fried chicken, hot pot soup, and fruit. We also added a pot of kawa for two people (1260 yen). For two people, eating all this costs 11760 yen. It's really cheap to eat hot pot at this price. I love the hot pot, especially the hot pot soup at the end. There was plenty of hot pot soup, so I was full. When your body is this cold, hot pot is the best thing to eat. Thank you for the meal.

This is Kibarashi in Tondabayashi. The location is on the 1st floor of an apartment building just a 3-minute walk from Kawashi Station. Nearby, there is a supermarket Sunday and a beauty salon, and there is parking space for about 30 cars that can be parked by entering from the bike shop off the old outer ring road. At the entrance of the shop, take off your shoes and there is a large aquarium on the right. The interior of the shop is surprisingly spacious and clean, giving off a high-end store atmosphere. There are counter seats, sunken kotatsu-style tatami seating for 4 tables, and a large hall for banquets in the back. Wow, there are some huge fugu fish here. Looks like it's about 1.7kg. This shop can also prepare natural fugu if reserved, but this time we'll go with the farmed one. Probably won't be able to tell the difference if it's for hot pot. There are also natural fugu being sold cheaply online, but not sure about the quality. Probably triple the price if bought at the market. Anyway, this time we ordered the live fugu course. First, we were served an appetizer. I later realized that this was an extra charge. The boiled dish is full of collagen, with a good firm texture. The sashimi is thin, so you sandwich 3-4 slices with chopsticks and eat it. The right amount of firmness and delicious with the ponzu sauce, which has a nice acidity that enhances the sweetness of the sashimi. The fugu tempura has a satisfying texture with a plump and firm flesh. The seasoning of the tempura is also well done. The fugu sashimi is so fresh and delicious. You can't see it in the photo, but the flesh is still moving. Fresh and tasty. Let's put the fish bones in the pot. This step determines the taste of the final porridge. While waiting for the pot to be ready, we ordered nigiri sushi - ikura, maguro, hamachi, and amaebi. And of course, we ordered the fin sake, which is fragrant and delicious. From the second cup onwards, we asked for the next sake. We transfer the fish to a plate and enjoy it right away. The flesh is tender and delicious, especially the part near the bones. The fugu essence has soaked into the tofu and vegetables, making them delicious. The combination with the ponzu sauce is excellent. Now, let's prepare the porridge. Remove any unnecessary vegetables and it's time for the porridge. The fugu porridge is absolutely delicious. The fluffy egg-topped porridge has a gentle flavor, and the soup, which is rich in umami, is a rewarding way to end the meal. It was so delicious that I finished every last bit. Finally, dessert is served. Fugu hot pot on a cold night is truly delicious. If I had to be picky, I would say it would have been nice to have grilled fugu and shirako. Thank you for the feast. I have also uploaded this on my original blog. Check it out!

I visited the restaurant for my wedding anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was clean and calm, with few customers on a weekday night, almost like a private dining experience. We had the "live fugu course" which included a variety of dishes like appetizers, hot pot, sashimi, fried fugu, fugu stew, and dessert. Each dish was elegant and delicious. The live fugu served in the hot pot was a bit unsettling at first, but the taste was irresistible. The portion size was just right and the price was reasonable at 5,250 yen per person. Thanks to this wonderful dining experience, we had a great anniversary celebration. I would love to visit again to try their lunch menu and other dishes. Thank you for the delicious meal!
