They use a system where you pay first, but both dine-in and takeout orders are processed at the same register, causing delays. They should consider expanding the store space. I ended up waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

This is the Umeda branch of Horinai Kajitsu-en, with its main store in Nara. I tried their whole peach shaved ice, melon sandwich, and pineapple blueberry juice. The shaved ice had a large peach on top, making it quite tall. I carefully rescued the peach onto a plate using cutlery. When I cut it open, I found that the pit had been removed and there was cream inside. The ice used in the shaved ice and the way it was shaved were fairly standard. The refreshing plum syrup was light and not overly sweet. You can eat the peach on its own or mix it with the shaved ice, syrup, and cream. The melon sandwich had two juicy slices of red-fleshed melon in each sandwich, along with custard and cream, making it quite filling. If you don't need a lot of shaved ice, you might prefer the fruit-based Kajitsu-en or Melon Garden. I visited just before noon on a hot day, so there was quite a long line. However, the air conditioning at Grand Front Osaka's first floor and the ample seating made the wait bearable. I lined up from the back where there were no seats, and my turn came in about an hour. Once seated, the service was relatively quick, and I struggled with the large shaved ice and its coldness. Including the wait and dining time, I spent about 2 hours in the cool indoor space, so I felt quite chilled after finishing. It was over 35°C outside, but it was actually quite comfortable. Even in summer, those who get cold easily like me might want to wear slightly warmer clothes. They also offer shaved ice for takeout, so enjoying it outside in the heat could also be a nice way to experience the season.

When the shaved ice season comes, I visited to try the new menu items, Shirokuma-kun and Akakuma-kun. There are long lines on Saturdays and Sundays, but you can usually get in without waiting too long on weekdays. Shirokuma-kun is filled with lots of fruits and has a hint of lychee in the milk syrup. Akakuma-kun also has plenty of fruits, and the persimmon syrup with soft persimmons was really delicious. ♡

I went to see it on Instagram. I waited in line for about an hour and decided to go with the classic melon after watching others eat. I had a strawberry smoothie as a drink. When I went on a live excursion to Osaka, I found a shop while strolling around Osaka Station. I was intrigued by the fancy and delicious-looking melon shaved ice, but since it was before the live show, I opted for fresh juice instead. It was different from store-bought juice... delicious... I thought. There were many people in the shop ordering shaved ice, so next time I go, I want to try the shaved ice too!

I visited during lunchtime on a regular day, and it felt like 1-2 groups were waiting! The pineapple was hollowed out and used as a bowl, filled with various fruits and was delicious!! The ice was fluffy, so the fruits tend to fall off the plate. It's difficult to eat neatly. The shop is small and the distance between tables is close, so you can't relax.

I sometimes go to Grand Front Osaka and it's always refreshing because the shops change from time to time. I usually go through the underground when moving around Grand Front, and one time I noticed a line around noon, so it caught my interest. After finishing work around 3:00 pm, I saw there was still a bit of a line, so I decided to wait since I was curious. It's a cafe, so I waited about 30 minutes and finally got in. They had a lot of strawberry-themed menu items that day, so I chose one with plenty of strawberries. I was impressed by how they could pile up strawberries so high! It was a parfait that strawberry lovers would adore. The strawberries were not only visually appealing but also delicious until the last bite. The glass was filled with strawberries all the way to the bottom. It seemed like many people were sharing it with someone else.

I will have a snack time before 7:00 PM. I had Fruit Orchard, Persimmon Strawberry Milk, and Orange Coffee. Fruit Orchard is eaten with strawberry sauce, but it was delicious even without it.
