I went to Yakiniku Jyuban with a generous treat from my former great senior colleague. Yakiniku Jyuban is a high-end yakiniku restaurant. I had been there a few times when I was in Tokyo, so it felt nostalgic to find it in Osaka. While watching the WBC final on my iPad, I started with a 150g Chateaubriand for 12,000 yen, and enjoyed a parade of high-quality meats. I was so full that I couldn't eat dinner. I even got to see the moment Japan's team won the championship. It was the best lunch ever! Thank you for the feast!

I had the Yumewari lunch set. It came with specially selected roast beef, premium kalbi beef, tongue with salt salad, namul, rice, soup, dessert, and a lunch drink. The kalbi beef had just the right amount of marbling and went well with the rice. I also ordered the tongue with salt sauce as an extra, but I found the one included in the lunch set to be more delicious with less odor. I was so happy with this turn of events that I decided to splurge and ordered the "Chateaubriand course." It was delicious! I was able to enjoy my meal in a comfortable semi-private booth, perfect for dining alone. I would love to treat myself and go back alone again in the future.

While waiting, we wandered around the Daimaru Shinsaibashi store, exploring the bustling underground bars and department stores. I planned to buy some GODIVA bread, but found it to be smaller and more expensive than I expected. We ended up buying freshly baked goods from a bakery called Rikuro Ojisan. When we finally got a call from the restaurant, we were seated in a private room instead of by the window as we had hoped. We opted for the special deluxe lunch set and a la carte menu, with me choosing a set with shrimp and my husband opting for a different set. The meal included a variety of side dishes like namul, salad, kimchi, and soup, which turned out to be quite filling. The salad dressing was delicious and the quality of the meat was impressive. I enjoyed grilling the meat and wrapping it in lettuce with gochujang sauce. The marbled meat was sweet and tasty, and the shrimp was also delicious. We were both satisfied with our meal at Jojoen and left feeling full. On our way back, we skipped visiting Hankyu Department Store due to the crowded conditions, and headed straight back to Himeji by train. As we arrived at Himeji Station, the crowds had dispersed and we felt relieved. However, I started feeling a strong heartburn on the local train back home, but managed to ease it with some stomach medicine. This experience made me realize that I may need to cut back on fatty meat in the future.

I was taken to this Sukiyaki restaurant, Daimaru Shinsaibashi store, by a customer for the first time. I have tried going there a few times on a whim, but I always get turned away. The 10th floor dining floor at Daimaru is empty due to the pandemic, but Sukiyaki is always almost full. We ordered a namul assortment, special tongue salt grill, special harami, special kalbi, special loin grill, and sliced liver top fillet. Everything we ordered was top quality. If we ignore the cost performance, this place might be number one. There are many cheap and delicious restaurants, but this place is really delicious regardless of the price! In particular, I have never had better tongue than here. When you eat fillet at a steakhouse, you usually eat it in blocks, but here it is sliced and delicious. They also pay attention to the rice, which is excellent! All the meat is of high quality, so even when you are full, you don't feel stuffed and you are satisfied. Because everything is so delicious, the grilling is really important. It would be a waste to enjoy it while having fun and drinking.
