A popular beef cutlet restaurant in Nihonbashi where there are often long lines of foreign customers. I arrived on a Tuesday at 7 pm and there was a line extending halfway down the stairs, about a 7-person wait. After about 15 minutes, it was my turn and by then the line had grown to about 20 people. I had pre-ordered the 130g beef cutlet with rice and grated yam set for 1600 yen. The beef cutlet had marbling and was juicy, with a crispy outer layer. Even though it was only 130g, you could get a free extra serving of rice, making it a satisfying meal. The beef cutlet was served rare, lightly fried with a thin coating, and was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Because it was oily, it paired well with the rich soy sauce dip. I started by eating it rare to enjoy the refreshing juiciness of the raw meat. Then, I lightly grilled the surface on a personal hot plate to a medium-rare state, dipped it in soy sauce, and ate it with rice. Next, I pre-dipped the beef cutlet in soy sauce, grilled it on the hot plate, served it with wasabi, and mixed it with rice for an exquisite experience. Finally, I topped the rice with grated yam, mixed it with the soy-marinated seared beef cutlet, and was in bliss. It's no wonder that this popular beef cutlet restaurant attracts long lines of customers, even from overseas. I left fully satisfied.

The food is incredibly delicious, surprisingly delicious. There are a lot of foreign tourists lining up, so it seems busy, but it's worth it. Make sure to go when everyone is ready because you can't enter otherwise. It seems like there are a lot of Chinese tourists. The taste is exquisite and amazing, I really loved it. I'll definitely go there again. Thank you for the meal!

Arrived at the restaurant on Saturday at 7:00 PM. There were about 4 groups waiting. Waited for about 20 minutes before being able to enter. Ordered the 130g beef cutlet and grated yam set meal for 1600 yen. It came out after a 15-minute wait. You can get a free refill of rice. The taste is really delicious. The meat is tender, and you can enjoy three different flavors with wasabi, sesame sauce, and another sauce. Personally, I like the wasabi the best! Please note that they only accept cash for payment.

I visited the restaurant on Sunday evening just before 6 o'clock. I was lucky to be able to enter without waiting in line, but by the time I left around 6 o'clock, there was already a line forming. I ordered the recommended 130g beef cutlet with rice and grated yam set. The price had increased since my last visit, from 1300 yen to 1600 yen. The meat was very tender, but lacked a crispy texture. There were two types of sauce provided, allowing for different ways to enjoy the meal. You can get a free refill of rice once. Side dishes like cabbage and miso soup cost 100 yen each. I had high expectations based on other people's reviews and Instagram posts, but due to the price increase, the cost performance seemed average. The meat was delicious. The staff seemed friendly, but there were more foreign staff than Japanese staff.

Namba's beef cutlet restaurant. I waited in line for about 20 minutes before 1 pm. There were many foreigners as well. I ordered the beef cutlet set meal for 1500 yen. There was a small iron plate on the table, and it seems like you lightly grill the beef cutlet before eating. It was my first time, but personally, I liked it! I honestly thought it was strange to grill cutlets, but when you cook it just right, the meat's aroma stands out, so it felt like a mix of beef cutlet and yakiniku! The soy sauce-based sauce was really delicious, highly recommended. You can get one extra bowl of rice for free, so there is a sense of satisfaction.

I lined up for 30 minutes on a regular night and was able to eat!! It's located about 5 minutes from Namba station, so it's easy to access. The meat is thick and voluminous, but you can eat it pretty quickly!! So, it's good to go for a double order~ The cost performance is also good, so it's great for those who don't mind waiting in line!!

I really felt like eating beef cutlet so I lined up from lunchtime and waited for about an hour to get in. It felt like the crowd had settled down due to the coronavirus, and there were mostly foreigners around, so it felt like I had come to a foreign country rather than Japan (lol). I thought it might be too oily and I wouldn't be able to finish it, but I ended up eating it all! It was delicious!!

Located in Namba, there is a popular beef cutlet restaurant that I highly recommend. Even if you have a small appetite, I suggest trying the double portion. You can cook it on a mini hot plate to your liking. Rice is free for one refill. When it comes to beef cutlets in Namba, Tomita is the place to go. I was really hungry, so I decided to challenge the double portion! Even though it's a double, it's only 260g, so it's manageable for those with a small appetite. You can lightly cook it on the hot plate beforehand, but if you like it rare, it's better to eat it as is. I prefer to eat it with wasabi soy sauce for a light taste. This place always has a long line, so I used to avoid it, but even on weekends, the wait was only about 30 minutes. Personally, I prefer beef cutlets over pork cutlets, but it's not easy to find beef cutlet restaurants. I would love to hear about other beef cutlet restaurants in Osaka. I finally visited Gyukatsu Tomita after being intrigued by Yukachan's (@yk_mg18) post. As mentioned in Google reviews, there was a queue with about 15 people when I arrived at 12:30. However, the turnover was quick, and I was seated in less than 20 minutes. I wanted to stick to 130g for calorie reasons, but went for 260g for a better presentation. The generously topped rare Gyukatsu with a tempting sear arrived. It had a good amount of marbling and fat, which melted in my mouth. I enjoyed grilling it to my liking on the tabletop stone and eating it without any condiments. The coating was flavorful, and the meat was tender with a rich fattiness. It was quite oily, so adding wasabi or dipping it in soy sauce with wasabi made it even more delicious. The barley rice and grated yam in between also added a refreshing touch. Opting for 260g was the right choice for photos, but 130g would have been enough for my hunger level. The prices were reasonable, with 130g costing around 1200-1300 yen and 260g around 2000-2100 yen. It was a fun experience grilling the meat myself, and I could see why it's popular among foreign visitors.

The meat was so delicious! I found this place on Instagram and decided to go when I was in Osaka. I went around 5 pm on a Sunday and there were only 3 groups there. The meat slices were thinner and smaller than I expected, but they were so tender and juicy. I thought the portion size was just right for 130g, but it might not be enough for men. The only downside was the rice, it wasn't cooked well and didn't taste very good. Overall, I was very satisfied and will definitely go back again!

Recently, the line at this place has been really crazy, so I got curious and decided to check it out. I went on a weekday during lunchtime at around 11:15 am, and there was already a long line stretching from the top to the bottom of the stairs. By 11:30 am, the line had extended all the way to the road. Most of the people waiting were tourists, speaking various foreign languages with only a few speaking Japanese. I tried the beef cutlet with barley rice set, and it was delicious. The tender beef melted in my mouth, cooked to perfection on a hot iron plate. You can adjust the level of doneness to your liking, which is great. Cooking it on the iron plate eliminates any raw meat smell and makes it easy to eat. The rice was also tasty, and the miso soup was delicious. It was so good that I couldn't resist getting a second serving, even though they only allow one. Despite being a touristy place, the food here is really good. I wish it wasn't so crowded so I could come here every day.

♡【Gyukatsu Tomita】♡ Osaka ❤︎ Namba ♡ Gyukatsu with Rice and Tororo Set for ¥1300 ♡ This time, I went to a restaurant called "Tomita" in Namba to eat gyukatsu. The restaurant is located very close to Nankai Namba Station. It is on the second floor, so you have to climb stairs as there doesn't seem to be an elevator. One free refill of rice! Even for big eaters! It was around 6:30 pm, and there wasn't much of a line, so we were able to get in easily. By the time we left, there was a long line waiting. The gyukatsu looked rare and very delicious. The menu notes to "make sure to cook it well before eating," so we grilled it lightly on the mini iron plate that was already heated. The meat melted in your mouth even when cooked well. There were sweet sauce, mountain wasabi, and tororo sauce to dip the gyukatsu in. It was interesting to use wasabi with gyukatsu instead of mustard like with tonkatsu. The fact that all this was only ¥1300 is amazing. Anyway, I was in the mood for some meat so I went to eat gyukatsu! The meat is 260g and you cook it yourself. It's tender and juicy, really delicious. It's recommended to put plenty of wasabi on it. The tororo that comes with it is great too, so it's definitely better to order the 260g portion! 😂 Lately, I've been eating alone more often. It's easy and the best part is being able to eat at my own pace. Delicious food tastes great even when eaten alone! Next time, I want to try solo yakiniku!! Do you guys go out to eat alone too? I found a mysterious shop called "Gyukatsu Tomita" in Minami. It is located on the second floor at the entrance of Otaro. When you open the door and enter the shop, you will be surprised to find a clean and beautiful place. The wall behind the cashier is filled with autographed cards from famous people, so it must be a well-known shop. First, a solid fuel called "kantei" is lit on the table, heating up the iron plate on top. Then, the main ingredients are brought out, including lightly fried gyukatsu, salad, and grated yam. The staff will explain that you should grill the gyukatsu on the iron plate before eating. I tried it with mustard sauce first, which had a subtle spicy kick that complemented the meat well. Then, I tried it with soy sauce and wasabi, which was refreshing and delicious. Personally, I preferred this combination. The meat also went well with the rice, so I quickly ordered a second serving. For the second round, I poured grated yam and wasabi over the gyukatsu to enjoy it with rice. This combination was definitely my favorite. Overall, it was a great place where you could enjoy both gyukatsu and grated yam together.

While walking in Namba, I came across this place, Gyukatsu Tomita. I entered as soon as it opened and was seated at the counter. There were many celebrity autographs displayed, maybe because there are a lot of comedians around here. I ordered the Gyukatsu with barley rice set (260g) and it was served within 5 minutes. The rare Gyukatsu had beautiful marbling. You cook it yourself at the table. I quickly grilled it and took a bite. It was delicious. Grilling it well brings out the flavor of the oil. It was tender and went really well with the barley rice. I particularly liked the soy sauce-based sauce. It was a 260-gram portion but it wasn't heavy, and I finished it quickly. Thank you for the meal.

At one point, beef cutlet was popular, but now most places have closed down. However, this place opened early and is still quite popular! The restaurant was almost full. The beef cutlet set with grated yam comes with free refills of rice. The beef cutlet is the type that can be eaten rare and you can cook it yourself. It is quite tasty even as is, and the original sauce pairs well with it. Soy sauce may be a bit too salty. The barley rice is not too strong in barley flavor, so anyone can eat it. You can choose from small, medium, or large for rice refills, and even the small portion was surprisingly generous. Considering all this, I thought the cost performance was good.
