On Wednesday at 7:00 PM, I went to Sushi Higuchi at Nagahori Bridge. For the appetizer, I chose the "Shiomono Konbu Matsushima-zuke," which had a perfect sweetness that paired well with sake. The assorted sashimi included surf clam, cured mackerel, medium fatty tuna, trumpet shell, scallop, and sea bream, all incredibly fresh and delicious. Next, a variety of whole fish were served, allowing you to choose your favorite fish and cooking method. I chose salt-grilled conger eel and simmered blackthroat seaperch, both of which were incredibly tasty. Moving on to the sushi, I requested 5 pieces plus a special one. The live trumpet shell sushi and mackerel sushi roll were outstanding. The medium fatty tuna and peony shrimp were also delicious, with the shrimp having a unique texture and sweetness. I forgot the next white fish served. The final special piece was the piping hot eel, which was incredibly delicious. The sake selection was excellent, and I enjoyed choosing my own cup each time. It was a truly satisfying meal.

We visited with 3 people and there were around 10 counter seats and table seats for 4 people. The head chef was friendly, and we were very satisfied not only with the food but also with the overall experience. The sushi and rolls were excellent! Each piece was carefully crafted with the chef's dedication. We had a decent amount to drink and the total bill was around 80,000 yen. We definitely want to go back.

The menu I ordered included a selection of appetizers, mozuku vinegar, assorted sushi, and saba sushi. I also added an extra tamago, unagi toro taku, and saba bo sushi. The meal was accompanied by a cup of oolong tea. Thank you for the delicious meal, Sushi Higuchi!

Delicious, fun, and cozy ♫ ☺️ The owner is very friendly, attentive, and does a wonderful job, making it a really pleasant sushi restaurant ♫ It may fall into the category of a high-end establishment, but considering the sushi and dishes served, I think it offers good value for money‼️ I wonder what small dish to have, which grilled fish would be good, and maybe some sashimi too ♫ Now, looking forward to the nigiri ♫ ☺️ Everything is really delicious ♫ It's also nice to be able to watch the chefs work from the counter ♫ Overall, it's really the best ♫ Personally, it's my favorite among high-end sushi restaurants so far, including the atmosphere ♫

The greatness of Edomae sushi is known when Mr. Higuchi appears, the balance between portion size and price is just right. Of course, the sushi is incredibly delicious. The passion for craftsmanship is unmatched. The Sabasaba stick sushi and the torikai are extremely hot! These are must-try items! This is a restaurant where you will be satisfied.

It's been a while since my last visit. You can order a la carte. Recommended sashimi platter with 5 types to choose from. Grilled abalone, sea bream roe and young burdock, tamagoyaki, tekkamaki, grilled fish, and simmered dishes are available. I left the sushi selection to the chef. You can't miss the hot shrimp and botan shrimp, as well as the eel dish. For drinks, they have various options like Toshimago COLORS NEXT 5, Shinsei, Harugasumi, Ichiro's Malt, Yuki no Bijin, Otokoyama, Tsutsumi Tsutsu, and Tenpuku. The restaurant owner has a humorous and enjoyable personality, making the dining experience even better.

Sushi Higuchi, known for serving the earliest endangered species ala carte sushi, offers an omakase course of 18 pieces. The sushi rice is seasoned with a single type of red vinegar, but it complements each topping differently. Especially the shellfish, the pairing is impeccable! A traditional sushi restaurant that focuses on nigiri. Sake selection mainly consists of junmai and ginjo, I had 5 servings which cost 25,000 yen. A must-visit for nigiri lovers!

On that day, I asked endo-san @sho_stagram_oo if he knew any delicious sushi restaurants where you can order a la carte and still get in even on the same day. Despite being a busy Instagrammer, he immediately told me about Sushi Higuchi, a place I had saved to visit. I nervously called and found out that the counter was full, but they had a table available. First, they told me to choose as many small dishes as I liked, and the turban shell and sea cucumber in vinegar were so delicious. Then came the chef's selection of sashimi platter, which was amazing - squid, sea bream, scallop, medium fatty tuna, yellowtail, everything was top-notch! They showed us the fish and offered various preparations like grilling and simmering. The grilled conger eel and salt-grilled hairtail were superb. And the sushi - sea urchin, medium fatty tuna - the vinegar flavor of the rice was just right, not overpowering, and melted in the mouth perfectly. They recommended the rolled omelet with conger eel liver, which was heavenly. I definitely want to visit again! Finally reigning at the top, Sushi Higuchi! The prices are good, and there are plenty of good restaurants out there, even if you go to a hundred famous ones, I always feel a little dissatisfied. Higuchi is just right for me. The taste, service, atmosphere, everything creates a comfortable feeling. The chef always treats me well, but with Higuchi, it's just perfect. I shout it out loud - Higuchi is the best, by far! My most important point is that I can't be satisfied with other good restaurants. Firstly, the taste and preferences of the food, and secondly, a restaurant that satisfies my stomach, which is twice the size of a normal person's. It's hard to find. Firstly, the taste and preferences of the food, the chef knows what I like. They have a lineup that shuts me up, being very picky about fish. They also provide a variety of sake options, so I can choose my favorite. When I'm indecisive, they quickly figure it out and suggest something, which is fun! Here, it's not about leaving it up to them, they listen to my orders. I mostly leave it up to them, but I can be demanding about things like sake or sushi. Thanks to that, the chef always brings out his secret sake from the basement warehouse. I always go back to a sushi restaurant that I like at least twice as soon as possible, but it's rare for me to feel like going for a third time. I want to come every month! I want to go! I want to go! Since I go to Osaka once a month, maybe I should go twice a month on business trips? Starting next year. This time was also great. Still in a dream. The schedule for January, February, and March next year is already set, so it will be in April. Spring fish is coming, and soon abalone too. It's the season for year-end parties, right? So, Sushi Higuchi. It may be my favorite restaurant that I discovered this year. I started with some Japanese sake. I chose my appetizer, selected grilled fish, and enjoyed the sushi as I liked. The appetizer at the beginning was a gentle shrimp and taro dish with a delicious broth. The appetizers included fresh shrimp and squid, and the sushi rice was my favorite, enhancing the flavor of the fish. The rolls were filled with plenty of squid in a refreshing squid and plum roll. Everything was delicious. The quality was great, you can eat freely, and it's easy to make a reservation. The chef's service was enjoyable, truly the Higuchi show. I want to keep coming back next year. Thank you for the meal.

I started by choosing small plates to see the actual dishes. I chose shirako (milt), while others chose simmered turban shell. The grilled fish was shown in its raw form, and I was impressed by the rich fatty texture of the splendid swordfish. The mackerel in the sashimi assortment was not too sour but gentle yet delicious. The sushi had red vinegar rice with a firm texture, and the kawahagi (filefish) had plenty of liver between the topping and the rice! When dipping the tuna in soy sauce, it melted too much. The raw shrimp was also excellent, not just the boiled one shown in the photo, and the beautifully sliced squid not only looked good but was also sweet and delicate. Instead of conger eel, they served grilled eel that was wonderfully fragrant and delicious. This is a wonderful restaurant where you can be flexible in choosing how many dishes to eat, not just leaving it to the chef, and you can enjoy everything from appetizers to sushi!

This is my favorite sushi restaurant. They serve authentic Edomae sushi with red vinegar, and they offer a wide variety of options that I always order a la carte. The chef is also very entertaining. Since it is a popular place, reservations are a must. My favorite dishes here are the sea urchin and mackerel sushi. They are truly delicious and impressive. Everything else on the menu is also delicious. I was also impressed by the white fish comparison bowl. They source different types of fish depending on the season, so you can enjoy a variety of options whenever you visit! The customizable appetizer at the beginning is also recommended!

You can also opt for sushi served one piece at a time. Even with plenty of food and drinks, the cost is around 20,000 yen per person. It's affordable and delicious. I left completely satisfied. It was delicious! Grilled hairtail, swordtip squid, flounder, horse mackerel, turban shell from Miyagi Prefecture, medium fatty tuna, saury with seared skin, Pacific saury, peony shrimp (big so should be cut in half), ikura. I was thinking of serving Hokkaido, Hakodate, Bafun sea urchin (apparently not many good sea urchins available this time of year). Grilled blackthroat seaperch, conger eel (very hot). Red miso soup or clear soup (clam, egg, fish) as an addition. Medium fatty tuna, hot and fluffy hairtail.

Suddenly craving sushi, I decided to call a sushi restaurant on a whim even though it was late, and I could go! I went to Sushi Higuchi. I started with some sake and then ordered mainly nigiri sushi with light appetizers. The appetizers included yamaimo soba, fresh squid, squid fins, meichidai head salt-grilled nigiri, meichidai, tachiuo, nishin, konoshiro, hirame kombu-shime, anago chirashi, sawara aburi, shinko (2 pieces), Rebun sea urchin, Hikari All-Stars slightly thick roll, and eel with salt and sauce. I also enjoyed some Japanese sake such as Niigata Midorikawa Midori Yukido storage, Nara Shinomine Yamadanishiki super dry daiginjo, Miyagi Kankichi Tokubetsu Junmai dry, Miyagi Sawanoizumi Junmai dry, Akita Yukino Bijin Yamadanishiki 6th generation yeast super dry, and Juyondai Hizou Shochu. I started with the delicious yamaimo soba from the appetizer selection, followed by fresh squid and squid fins. The squid was really fresh and delicious. For the fish selection, I chose meichidai head salt-grilled nigiri because I was dining alone. The saltiness and the firm texture of the fish were irresistible. I then enjoyed a variety of nigiri sushi, each piece showcasing the excellent quality of the rice and fish. The nishin and konoshiro were outstanding, can you tell from the photos? I also had hirame with well-infused kombu, thick and juicy anago chirashi, and sawara aburi. The Hikari All-Stars roll was slightly thicker than last time, with a stronger umami flavor. The pickled radish and iwashi were also delicious. As for the finale, I had the signature eel dish with crispy skin and a spicy kick. Sushi Higuchi never disappoints, and the fact that I can visit on a whim makes it even more appealing. I might become a regular customer at this wonderful restaurant. It's rare!! Everything is really delicious, and personally, I highly recommend the octopus dish they choose for you at the beginning! It's so delicious that I want to eat it every day. I recommend it! I love it♡

I've always wanted to visit Sushi Higuchi, where you can eat according to your preference at Sushi Kizuna. I heard that they have a variety of appetizers and you can choose your own sake, so I was even more excited to visit. The restaurant is located inside a hotel along Yoroppa Street and has a traditional atmosphere of an old-fashioned sushi restaurant. I started with fresh raw oysters and some sake. They brought out a few appetizers for us to choose from, including yam potato noodles and red eggplant with tofu in white sauce. The sushi selection was impressive, with a variety of fish and toppings. The rice was exceptional, enhancing the flavor of the fish with a hint of red vinegar. The texture and flavor of the sushi were perfect, allowing us to enjoy the toppings to the fullest. The recommended raw oysters and grilled swordfish were delicious, and the sake selection was diverse, allowing us to compare different types. The sushi rolls were also outstanding, with a mix of various ingredients. The eel sushi was the perfect ending, with a crispy texture that was irresistible. We had a great meal and the bill came out to around 25,000 yen per person. It was a satisfying experience, with the option to eat according to our preferences and enjoy high-quality sushi. The restaurant offers a hybrid of casual and high-end sushi dining, with excellent service from Chef Higuchi. I highly recommend this place and would love to visit again. I travel around Japan, mainly in Osaka, trying out different foods. Today, I visited Sushi Higuchi, a sushi restaurant in Minami, Osaka, that I love. The chef is very cheerful and friendly. I became a fan from my first visit about 5-6 years ago. The sushi is delicious, and the chef's personality is great, so it's no wonder it's always fully booked. The eel handed to you with the words "It's piping hot" at the counter is amazing, but this time, I sadly had to eat at a table. I ordered the omakase option instead of a set course. You can choose your favorite dish from today's side dishes, and then the chef will serve you the fish of the day. If you choose your favorite fish, they will cook it for you either grilled with salt or simmered. I recommend making a reservation in advance and dining at the counter. It's a wonderful restaurant. It's been about 2 years since I last visited this place! I haven't been able to come to Minami often lately, but this is one of my favorite restaurants. On this day, I had a lot of appetizers before enjoying about 20 pieces of sushi. They have such a wide variety of toppings that I could eat as much as I want. ❤️
