I also ordered the "Plump Shrimp Mentaiko Pepperoncino"! I mainly like creamy pasta, but I also like pepperoncino. The word "plump" in the description also makes me want to order it! By the way, this dish also comes with bread and salad. I have posted some pictures of creamy pasta, so please take a look at those. Just as I started eating the creamy pasta, the pepperoncino arrived! Once again, the red color stands out! Mentaiko has a similar texture to the cream. This pasta doesn't have the mentaiko mixed in, maybe because it's easy to overcook. There are 5 large shrimp, maybe prawns? It says "Shredded dried young sardines and pickled turnip greens as a hidden flavor," but I'm not sure about the dried young sardines. But when pasta, turnip greens, shrimp, and mentaiko come together, the dish looks very colorful and appetizing. It looks very glossy and delicious! Now, let's dig in! First, I tried the pasta without the mentaiko. The pasta is thick and chewy as usual, but it feels like it's cooked a bit firmer. Maybe they cook it differently for pepperoncino since there's no worry about the pasta getting cooked in the sauce like with creamy pasta. The flavor is rich and full of garlic and olive oil. The texture of the turnip greens adds a nice touch to the dish. There are dried young sardines! They were gathered at the bottom, so it's better to mix them before eating. Mixing them evenly enhances the depth of flavor with the sweetness of the dried young sardines. Now, I want to thoroughly mix in the mentaiko! The dish transforms into a different form with the red pearls, making you feel like saying, "I'm in love!" Mixing in the mentaiko adds a spiciness that was quite exhilarating! Since pepperoncino is already a spicy pasta, it felt like a completely different dish compared to eating it without mentaiko. I enjoy spicy food, so I was happily eating it while my wife found it a bit too spicy. It may not be recommended for those who are not fond of spicy food. Finally, there are some shrimp, turnip greens, and dried young sardines left, so I suggest sandwiching them in the bread. Be careful with how you use the shrimp. January is already entering its third week! As the fatigue from the New Year sets in, I recommend going to Super Mario's and trying the pepperoncino! Try it out! The intense spiciness and richness will make your senses tingle, filling your stomach with flavor, and I'm sure it will help you overcome the next day's work without a doubt!
