The menu has been updated with prices including tax and photos. They offer shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, shrimp fried rice, five-ingredient yakisoba, and for an extra 400 yen, almond jelly and orange juice. They also have a lunch special with soy milk tantanmen. The five-ingredient yakisoba was delicious as always. The shrimp fried rice had small shrimp, which was surprising but tasty. Both the shrimp dumplings and soup dumplings were delicious. The tantanmen was spicy. The almond jelly was also delicious. Luckily, there was seating available in the tatami room.

I felt like eating Chinese food, so I went to this restaurant. I ordered the hot noodles, ankake yakisoba, and meat dumplings. Both the hot noodles and ankake yakisoba had a lot of large ingredients, which made them very satisfying and delicious. They contained vegetables, squid, and shrimp. The soy sauce flavor was great! The meat dumplings were also delicious and had a nice texture. My kids loved them too. The tatami seating was very convenient. They served warm Rooibos tea after the meal, which was perfect for warming up on a cold day.

I made a reservation just in case at 12 o'clock on a national holiday. Since I have children, I reserved a tatami room. I ordered the daily lunch special which was a Chinese rice bowl with fried egg, and I added a dessert (almond jelly) and a drink (orange juice) set for an additional 300 yen. I asked for the spicy part to be removed from the Chinese rice bowl so that my child could also enjoy it. The side dish today was grilled rice dumplings, which were delicious. The salad had a tasty dressing and the vegetables were fresh and crunchy. The Chinese rice bowl was very delicious. I also ordered minced meat fried rice for my child, along with boiled noodles this time. My child really liked the boiled noodles and ate a lot. The almond jelly was also delicious. I was able to use a local dining coupon, so it was a good deal. They have children's tableware, which is always helpful. I didn't take photos of the boiled noodles or fried rice.

I ordered lunch this week. It cost ¥1,000 and I added dessert almond jelly and a drink for an additional ¥300. The lunch I ordered was Chinese-style stew with cabbage and glass noodles (with minced meat). I arrived at the restaurant before 1:00 pm on a weekday. By 1:00 pm, the restaurant was full and no more customers could enter. It was a close call. Sometimes it can be difficult to get a table without a reservation. I've experienced not being able to get in due to full reservations before. The meal came with pickled vegetables, salad, and a mini meat bun today. It was delicious. I took a photo after eating a bit of the main dish and rice. You can get a second serving of rice for free. However, I found myself surprisingly full from the glass noodles. The spicy glass noodles made the rice go down smoothly. I definitely want to come back to eat here again. I ordered orange juice as my drink, and it was served with the meal. The almond jelly dessert was consistently delicious. When you come to Kitchen King, you must try the almond jelly. It was delicious.

The restaurant offers both dine-in and takeout options. I got the sweet and sour pork bento box and almond jelly to go. It's great that you can take popular lunch menu items home as bento boxes. The portions were satisfying and delicious. I also appreciated that it came with a salad (the dressing on the salad was tasty).

Fukuoka Prefecture, Fukutsu City. When the impact of the coronavirus began to be felt, I decided to avoid dining in the center of Fukuoka and opted for lunch in a slightly different area. There were various options, but I was a bit concerned about ramen shops due to the risk, so I chose this place instead. The restaurant is located a bit off the main street, in a residential area, and despite the name Kitchen King, it is actually a Chinese cuisine restaurant. The prices were a bit on the higher side, so it felt more like a lunch with housewives chatting rather than a regular lunch. We started with salad, followed by pickled vegetables as an appetizer, and one lonely fried dumpling. I ordered the lunch set for the day, but looking at the a la carte menu, there were various dishes including modern Chinese cuisine. The lunch set was well-balanced with a gentle Chinese flavor, lacking in strong spices but offering a depth different from typical Chinese restaurants. In this nervous time of the coronavirus, restaurants like this where social distancing can be maintained seem to be gaining popularity!

Kitchen King's osechi was available for two people, which was very convenient. It cost 5,000 yen (excluding tax). I was surprised by the purple item, which turned out to be purple sweet potato tempura. It was deliciously sweet. Overall, the osechi was carefully prepared and tasty. I would like to order it again next year.

Fukutsu City is a cozy residential area where you can enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine at a homey restaurant. I had been wanting to visit this place for a while, and finally went with my family on a holiday. We ordered the five-ingredient yakisoba, five-ingredient soup soba, and some dim sum. The yakisoba I ordered had a nice char on the slightly thin noodles, with large shrimp and a flavorful sauce. The five-ingredient soup soba had plenty of seafood in the rich broth, although it was a bit too salty for my taste. It would have been perfect if the seasoning was a bit lighter. The dim sum was great as well, as you can order them individually and pick your favorites to suit your preferences. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant, and it was clear that it's a popular local spot among young mothers with kids, couples, and a diverse crowd. Overall, I felt that it's a great local gem.

I was surprised to find such a stylish restaurant in a residential area, but its exterior blends in well with the neighborhood. There were parking spaces for regular cars as well as a few for compact cars. The interior was bright with natural light and had a calm atmosphere, making it easy to relax. Even though it was a Sunday, they offered daily specials for both lunch and dinner, with three options to choose from. I ordered the Chinese rice bowl for lunch today. The shrimp was plump and the other ingredients mixed well with the sauce, making it delicious and I finished it quickly. The side dish and salad were also tasty. The staff was friendly and I would like to visit again.

What should I eat? I passed by Komeda Street and Chateraise in Fukutsu when I spotted a lunch flag. I decided to enter a Chinese restaurant a little further in. They had a lunch menu with daily specials or options like sweet and sour pork, and shrimp chili. I was torn between the shrimp chili and ended up choosing the pork and bean sprout with pickled vegetables stir-fry. The meal came with salad and corn soup. They offered free refills of rice. The pork was thinly sliced and fried, and the bean sprouts were crunchy and delicious. For dessert, I had almond jelly for 1280 yen, which also came with coffee. The service was fast and I recommend this place. I heard they also serve xiaolongbao at night, so I plan to come back for that. This time, I came alone because I was worried about finishing the food, but you can order dishes separately. I had shrimp dumplings, seafood shumai, and one xiaolongbao. I also had dan dan noodles and almond jelly. The shrimp dumplings were plump and delicious, and the xiaolongbao lived up to my expectations with flavorful soup inside. It's a place where you can easily dine alone, and I'll definitely bring friends next time.

The shop is bright and has a very nice atmosphere. When I entered, there were about two groups already there, and there was also a tatami seating area. We were seated but had to wait a while for the menu to arrive. It would be better if they just left it at the table. I ordered the daily special and my son had the shrimp chili lunch set. The food had a really homely taste (laughs). I think the cost performance is okay. However, the almond jelly dessert was absolutely delicious. It was so rich that I wanted to have seconds (laughs). Just a small suggestion, it would be nice if they handled the plates more carefully to avoid making loud clattering noises. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I will post and register a store review. It's a review from a local resident. Before it opened, I thought from the name "Kitchen King" that it would be a Western-style restaurant, but I was surprised when it turned out to be an authentic Sichuan Chinese restaurant! The store has a Western-style chic appearance, and I heard that the name was taken from the owner's mother, who runs a beauty salon called "○○ King". The interior of the store is bright and clean, with large windows. It seems like a great place for a mom's gathering. In addition to table seating, there are also sunken kotatsu seats and counter seats where you can feel comfortable dining alone. The 1280 yen lunch set includes a choice of A daily special, B sweet and sour pork, or C shrimp chili as the main dish. The welcome drink, Blueberry Cassis and Black Vinegar Soda, was delightful and delicious. The meal also includes pickles, corn egg soup, and sweet and sour pork that is quite different from the home-cooked version, with a strong black vinegar flavor. The fried dishes and seasoning are top-notch and delicious. The almond jelly dessert was rich and delicious. Although I didn't feel the Sichuan influence in this lunch, everything was delicious, and I would like to visit this restaurant again. It's always great to have a delicious restaurant opening nearby!

"Odeur Mini" for 5,800 yen... This month (August) marks the 6th anniversary of King-san. (Congratulations☆) I ordered the Odeur Mini for takeout! The car was filled with a delicious aroma on the way back, making it hard to resist snacking (lol). Shrimp chili, sweet and sour pork, oil-drizzled chicken, spring rolls, shumai, and more - a lineup that would make anyone at the restaurant hesitate! It's like a Chinese jewelry box (*´∀`) Plus, until the end of this month, there's a campaign with almond jelly included. King-san's almond jelly is rich, smooth, and incredibly delicious - I love it♪ I was planning to keep both for myself, but they were discovered (^_^;) The crispy spring rolls, juicy shumai, and perfectly cooked sweet and sour pork with vegetables were all truly delicious! I'll definitely be visiting the restaurant again! Thank you for the wonderful meal☆

I brought home a Chinese lunch box for lunch. I forgot to take a picture, but it's on Kitchen King's Instagram. It had shrimp chili, salad, ginger-flavored fried chicken?, sweet and sour pork, shrimp shumai, and white rice. The dressing on the salad was delicious. The shrimp shumai was plump and tasty. The shrimp chili tasted spicier than when I had it before, but it was also delicious. You can use the Machi Meshi coupon to get a good deal. Also, plastic bags are charged separately, so it's better to bring your own.
