After work, I came to Juso Station. I decided to take the route back before returning to the recent business hotel. I passed by a ramen restaurant listed in the top 100 on Tabelog near Juso Station to check the line before heading home. I didn't want to wait in line as I was tired from work. When I got close to the restaurant, there were only two people in line that day. While waiting at the traffic light, it seemed like the line had disappeared, so I decided to go straight to the restaurant. I arrived at the restaurant around 7:40 pm. When I entered the restaurant and informed them of the number of people, I was asked to purchase a meal ticket. It seems that at this restaurant, if there is a line, you have to ask the staff for a numbered ticket, but I was able to enter without one. Lucky me. There were about 7 customers in the counter seats inside the restaurant, with a couple of seats available. I purchased a meal ticket at the ticket machine. I chose the Kiryu, which seemed to be the signature menu of this restaurant. I sat at the available counter seat and handed the meal ticket to the staff. The Kiryu can be served cold or hot, and I chose the cold version. You can also choose between 1 portion and 1.5 portions of noodles, so I went with 1.5 portions. I waited for my order. The staff at the restaurant are all quite young. They are energetic and nice. The Kiryu seemed to take quite some time. The ramen of a customer who entered after me was served first. The staff apologized and explained. I didn't mind at all as I had plenty of time. It was brought to me in about 15 minutes. The egg yolk was a rich orange color and looked beautiful. With 1.5 portions, it was quite filling. It looked more like egg over noodles than egg over rice. I was also given soy sauce for the Kiryu. I crushed the egg yolk and mixed it with the soy sauce, which was pooled at the bottom of the bowl, then took a bite. It was delicious. The soy sauce was just the right amount of richness. The rich egg made the whole dish mellow. The noodles were homemade flat and medium-thick straight noodles. They were chewy and had a nice firmness. I drizzled a bit of soy sauce on the noodles and mixed it in with the noodles. It was a perfect match. The overall flavor of soy sauce intensified. I then evenly poured soy sauce over the entire dish as I ate. You can add rice for an additional 50 yen, but I passed this time. I ate enthusiastically. I finished it in no time. It was simple and delicious, just as the Tabelog reviews said. The photos on Tabelog looked beautiful and appetizing. Choosing the cold noodles was the right decision. Even on a hot day, it went down smoothly. Many customers seemed to be enjoying the rich dipping noodles. They looked delicious too. Next time I visit, I might try the rich dipping noodles. This time it cost 1000 yen. It's a bit pricey, but being close to the station, the price increase may be inevitable. It exceeded 1000 yen, but I believe it was worth it. It was delicious. I will come back again.
