Muteppou Osaka shop. One of the richest tonkotsu ramen in Osaka, competing for the top spot. This time, it's evening after work. There's a line at the storefront. You buy a meal ticket at the vending machine in order, and after a few minutes of waiting, you enter the shop. The floor feels a bit slippery. This time, it's tonkotsu ramen. I also added a half-boiled seasoned egg as a topping. The soup is a thick tonkotsu broth, mixed with a rich soy sauce base, making it thick and flavorful. It's topped with a generous amount of pork back fat and green onions. The noodles are slightly curly, medium-thick, cooked to normal firmness, and they go well with the thick tonkotsu soup. The abundance of green onions adds a nice texture. There are seasoned bamboo shoots in the soup. I added spicy pickled mustard greens, red pickled ginger, sesame seeds, and garlic soy sauce from the table condiments, giving it a spicy kick. The pickled mustard greens add a punch, while the red pickled ginger adds a refreshing touch. The half-boiled seasoned egg topping is delicious with its creamy yolk. The thinly sliced pork chashu is tender. It was the most delicious and richest bowl of tonkotsu ramen in Osaka.

I visited Muteppou, known for its rich and creamy ramen in Osaka for the first time. I found out that adjusting the richness level is the way to go, but I'm still a beginner in finding my own taste with the double soup. I ordered the basic tonkotsu ramen with extra green onions. It's similar to Tenkaippin's soup but even thicker. I thought of it as a completely different dish from regular ramen. It was delicious, but might be too high in calories for older people. With a hint of guilt, I finished the soup as well. Next time, I want to study more and challenge myself with a more balanced and lighter taste.

I wanted to eat a reckless, super rich dish after a long time, so I visited this restaurant. The thick and gooey texture was as great as ever, overflowing with deliciousness. When combined with the free pickled ginger, the richness was reset and I was able to enjoy it more and more. I will definitely visit again when I come to Osaka!

Tonkotsu ramen priced at 900 yen. Arrived at 10:40 on Monday holiday, second in line. Known for its rich Kansai-style pork bone broth, but it was my first visit. Honestly, the impression after eating was that it was just like Tenkaippin. It was delicious with its thick pork bone broth, which I like, but I couldn't really find a reason why I had to come to this restaurant specifically.

I can barely remember the taste from last time, but I still wanted to try the reckless ramen again. This was my first time at this restaurant. The foreign staff members were efficient from the moment I walked in until I placed my order. I chose the pork bone ramen with an extra half-boiled egg. I ordered the noodles firm, the broth as rich as possible, and the green onions regular. The presentation was incredibly powerful. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles that coated well with the soup, providing a satisfying chew and delicious taste. Surprisingly, the pork bone soup was quite gentle in flavor. You can choose between curly noodles or thin noodles for an extra serving. I don't usually get extra servings, but this time I wanted to see how the thin noodles would mix with the thick soup, so I ordered them. Of course, the broth was quite oily, so I left a lot of it behind considering the burden on my stomach. I left feeling full and satisfied.

Visited "Muteppou Osaka Shop" located about a 2-minute walk from Imamiya Ebisu Station on the Nankai Koya Line for the first time. This restaurant had caught my attention from watching YouTube videos before, and it has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog for 4 consecutive years. I arrived at the restaurant around 8 p.m. and there were a few groups waiting inside and outside. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I was seated at the counter.
[Order]
- Tonkotsu Chashu Ramen (with half-boiled seasoned egg)
- Extra plate of green onions
- Draft beer
At "Muteppou," you can customize the firmness of the noodles, richness of the soup, and amount of green onions. I ordered firm noodles, rich soup, and extra green onions. I also ordered an extra plate of green onions for an additional 50 yen. The tonkotsu ramen is made with only pork bones and water, resulting in a thick and creamy soup. It's truly a pork bone broth. The soy sauce seasoning is strong, and the pork fat is rich and creamy. The medium-thick curly noodles pair well with the soup, and the firm texture adds to the experience. The thinly sliced pork belly chashu is tender and delicious. It was a wild and flavorful bowl of ramen that satisfied my cravings. A must-visit restaurant when in Osaka. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived before 7 pm and there were about 5 people lined up. I think this is a relatively low number for this time. It had been a while since I last visited, so I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with a half-boiled seasoned egg. The rich, thick soup combined with the noodles was very delicious! You can also enjoy it in a different way by adding extra noodles, spicy mustard greens, or pickled ginger for flavor variation!

I was asked about the recommended ratio, so I went with the recommended ratio from the shop: 6 parts tonkotsu (pork bone) to 4 parts shoyu (soy sauce). The char siu was especially delicious, with the fat from the soup clinging to it, enhancing the sweetness. I ordered the noodles "firm," but they ended up too chewy and didn't go well with the soup, so I should have ordered them "normal." There were condiments on the table like pickled mustard greens, red pickled ginger, chili oil, soy sauce, garlic soy sauce, white sesame seeds, and pepper. I didn't need the spicy or garlic ones, so I didn't use them. Surprisingly, the restroom was a Japanese-style toilet.

When it comes to rich and creamy tonkotsu ramen, this place is the best. I crave it regularly, but I can't have it when I'm on a diet. They use only domestically sourced pork bones for their special soup, and I always ask for extra pork fat. The thick soup coats the noodles perfectly, and once you try it, you'll be hooked. Thank you for the meal.

Osaka's famous rich and hearty ramen shop. I visited for the first time around 8:00 pm on a weekday. The place was packed with customers, with about 4 people waiting outside. After waiting for about 10 minutes, a staff member came out and directed me to the ticket machine. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen (with a half-boiled flavored egg) for 1050 yen, with an extra large serving of rice for 300 yen, and homemade gyoza for 450 yen. The tonkotsu ramen was incredibly rich and flavorful, unlike any other creamy ramen I've had before. The soy sauce base was slightly salty but not overpowering, with a clean and pleasant aftertaste. The noodles were medium-thick and curly, perfectly coated in the soup for a delicious combination. I added some pickled greens and red pickled ginger for a change in flavor. The homemade gyoza had a crispy outer layer and juicy meat filling, far superior to gyoza from other ramen shops. I dipped the gyoza in sauce, placed it on top of the rice, and savored the delicious combination. It was truly a moment of bliss.

A famous restaurant in Kyoto, Nara, and Nakano known for its rich tonkotsu ramen. The broth is cooked until the marrow of the bones is extracted, resulting in a thick and creamy soup. Despite its popularity for a long time, other restaurants have not tried to imitate it, possibly due to the high cost. This Osaka location also had a line of about 10 people around 9:45 PM. After a 30-minute wait, we were seated. I ordered the noodles firm and with extra lard. The turnover was fast, and most of the staff were foreigners, which was a bit surprising. However, watching a giant foreigner stir the tonkotsu pot vigorously with a stick was quite a sight. The soup was even thicker than the one in the Nara store, very rich and intense. If you appreciate the intensity of the soup, this place deserves high praise. The noodles, when cooked firm, were a bit too chewy. They could be a bit thinner for a better texture. There was a generous amount of fat, giving it a very rich and heavy taste. In a way, it could be considered a front runner in terms of richness and intensity.

For some reason, I hadn't had the chance to visit this place until today. I arrived around 1 pm and there were only 2 people waiting outside, so I was seated quickly. The total wait time was just under 20 minutes. There were 1-2 Japanese staff members, but it didn't feel like Japan. They spoke Japanese well, so they must have put in a lot of effort. It's similar to ramen chain restaurants in Kobe (with many Chinese staff). Osaka, a city in Japan with plenty of job opportunities, seems like a good place to work. I ordered a tonkotsu ramen with normal noodle firmness, extra rich, and extra green onions, with additional green onions on top. The completed dish cost 950 yen. The Vietnamese male waiter didn't ask about using a paper apron, so I asked a female staff member instead. The taste was not bad, but nothing special. I didn't notice that there were thin noodles available, so I should have chosen medium-thick noodles cooked firm. Overall, I didn't find it very appealing in terms of price, so I'll be trying other ramen places I haven't been to yet. Of course, this is just my personal opinion.

I will be the fourth in line at the restaurant, and it will take about 15 minutes to place my order. I like my ramen with normal noodles, normal soup, extra green onions, and an additional topping of green onions for 50 yen. The soup, made from 100% pork bone, is incredibly rich. Surprisingly, it leaves a refreshing aftertaste. I prefer the thin noodles for my extra serving. Having the reckless ramen after a long time, the guilty pleasure was doubled, but it was still delicious! If you want to experience a despairingly delicious ramen, this is the place to go!

Tonkotsu ramen for 900 yen with normal noodles, light flavor, extra garlic, and plenty of green onions. Additional noodle refill for 150 yen, gyoza for 450 yen, and a bottle of Asahi Super Dry beer for 550 yen. The total bill came to 2050 yen. Visited the restaurant as my son, who came home for a visit, wanted to go. The tonkotsu soup was as delicious as ever. I prefer the normal noodles. The gyoza was also delicious! Overall, we were very satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a ramen restaurant called Tonkotsu Ramen 80, which is known for its popularity. I hesitated to go before because there was always a long line, but this time I was able to be seated in about 20 minutes. Personally, I didn't find the taste to be anything special. The soup was just thick and heavy, making me feel like I might get a stomachache. The noodles were cooked well and tasty. Overall, I don't think it lives up to the reputation of being a top ramen restaurant.

Char siu ramen with firm noodles, extra seasoned, and extra green onions. 1150 yen. Rice on the side for an additional 200 yen. Arrived around 8 pm. About 12 people waiting outside. Waited for 40 minutes before being served. First time trying extra seasoned. It went really well with the rice! Finished it all in no time. It was really delicious!

Famous for its rich tonkotsu ramen, this shop has its main and branch stores, and this was my first visit. I arrived on a Sunday at 7:00 PM and there was no line. I bought a tonkotsu ramen with a half-boiled egg from the vending machine for 1050 yen. A foreign staff member guided me and asked for my preferences when I handed over the food ticket: firm noodles, rich soup, and extra green onions. The ramen arrived in about 5 minutes. The soup was indeed rich and flavorful, made with high-quality domestic pork bones and water only. The chashu was homemade and marinated in a secret sauce for about a day. The ramen was topped with about 4 slices of chashu, green onions (sometimes replaced with white onions), menma, and seaweed. The soup was rich and delicious, just like its reputation. The noodles were firm and tasty. The half-boiled egg was decent, and the chashu was flavorful. The pickled ginger was refreshing, the mustard greens spicy, and the sesame added a nice flavor. The pepper was also good, and the seaweed added a nice touch. Overall, I enjoyed the rich soup and found it delicious. It was different from the miso ramen popular in the Tokai region, being rich but not too salty. The spiciness made me want to drink the soup as well. The guy next to me ordered rice, piled on a lot of mustard greens, and even asked for a refill. He ate the ramen quickly but left most of the soup. It made me wonder which was healthier? (laughs) Thank you for the meal.

I went to the ramen shop Muteppou in Daikokucho. I've been there so many times that I've lost count. The ramen here may not be for everyone, but if you like rich and creamy ramen, I recommend trying it at least once. It's really delicious! By the way, Muteppou has branches outside of Osaka, but I haven't been to the one in Tokyo so I can't comment on that. Personally, I think the one in Daikokucho is the best in Kansai! If you get hooked on it, you'll really get hooked, so definitely give it a try! I always order the Tonkotsu Chashu Harigane with extra noodles, garlic chips, and extra green onions and seaweed!

I visited Imamiya Ebisu Muteppo Osaka for the first time. I tried the tonkotsu ramen for ¥900. The rich tonkotsu soup with a hint of soy sauce was well-balanced and easy to eat. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this place because I wanted to eat a hearty tonkotsu ramen based on the reviews I heard. The staff were mostly foreigners, but they were attentive and helpful even while waiting in line. I purchased a meal ticket from the vending machine, waited in the seating area, and was seated in about 5 minutes. The ramen was exactly what I had imagined - hearty tonkotsu with plenty of green onions. However, I was a bit disappointed by the cleanliness of the restaurant and the somewhat lackluster service from the Japanese staff. Despite the delicious ramen, the overall experience left something to be desired.

I arrived 20 minutes before the usual opening time, along with 4 other people waiting for the restaurant to open. By the time it opened, there were about 10 people waiting in line. Today, I ordered the rare W Supra Ramen with a pork bone and seafood broth ratio of 8:2, with the noodles cooked firm. I had some pickled vegetables on the side while waiting for my order, which took about 7 minutes. The familiar looking bowl of ramen arrived, and the soup today was really good. However, I still felt like the double soup was a bit lacking. The noodles were firm as usual, allowing me to slurp them up easily. I soon ordered a refill of noodles, opting for a normal firmness this time, but I realized that the firm noodles are the way to go here! So, next time, I'll stick to my usual order of "pork bone ramen, firm noodles, rich broth." It was delicious as always! Thank you for the meal♪♪♪
