ミナミのたぬき
I went to Mitsuru, a yakiniku restaurant that opened the day before yesterday in Ue-honmachi for lunch. It's a place that buys whole black wagyu cows and has other branches in Nihonbashi and Shinsaibashi. The restaurant is quite large, as it was renovated from a building that used to be an izakaya. There are many private rooms, which seems to be a response to the current times. I ordered the lunch set for 1200 yen, where you can choose two types of meat. The lunch set includes harami with sauce, and you can choose two more types of meat. Since there were two of us, we chose tongue, intestines, chuck flap tail, and short ribs. The portions were so big that they didn't fit on the table, and the staff just left it like that, so we had to rearrange it ourselves. The salad, side dishes, rice, soup, and meat all come on one plate. The salad, side dishes, rice, and soup are refillable, but it would be better if they were a bit tastier. The salad was dry, the side dishes were average, and the soup was quite salty. The rice could have been a bit more flavorful and fluffy. The meat was okay, with the tongue being very thin and average in taste. There was no unpleasant smell. The intestines had no smell either, but lacked flavor. The chuck flap tail and short ribs were decent. The recommended harami lacked juiciness and had a slight off-putting taste. It tasted more like overseas beef. In terms of taste alone, I don't think I would revisit. However, for 1200 yen, being able to grill and eat a variety of meats in a private room during lunch is worth it. They also offer half-priced drinks during weekday lunch hours.
