I have been familiar with the shop called Doer since I was a child. Whenever there was a birthday or celebration, it was always Doer! I have been using it for about 40 years. The classic felt cake, cream parfait, and cream puffs from the old days are still popular! The cream puffs have gone up in price a bit but are still at 90 yen. They sell out quickly. The photo is of a product called cream parfait, where choux pastry is filled with whipped cream and custard, and it is delicious. The mini-sized pudding is 130 yen. There are many items in an affordable price range that are easy to buy for daily snacks. I think it is a shop loved by local people.

I heard about a long-standing beloved restaurant in Ibaraki, so I went to the main store with a parking lot. The showcase seemed to have many items sold out, with many items having only one left. I bought an strawberry tart, a chocolate tart, a duo and cafe mocha, a cheese souffle, and a cream parfait. When I got home, it was snack time! I had the strawberry tart on the same day, and the cafe mocha the next day. The strawberry tart had big, sweet strawberries! The crispy tart crust had a strong chocolate flavor. The crust was light, the cream was light, and I enjoyed the freshness of the strawberries. The cafe mocha was also light. The coffee flavor was subtle, and the nut texture added a fragrant accent. According to my daughter, the chocolate tart had a refreshing orange flavor. They were all not too sweet and delicious.

Cream Puff: A patisserie located about a 4-minute walk from Hankyu Soji-ji Station. It seems to have several locations in the northern part of Osaka. I purchased a cream puff, and it was not too sweet for my taste... The éclair seemed to be sold out, I wonder what makes it different...

This is a revisit after the initial review. It's the first review of the new year, but I have a backlog of reviews from December. Please understand that there may not be a seasonal feel to them. I used to live in Takatsuki City a few years ago and I often visited Doru, a long-established French pastry shop with six stores in Takatsuki and Ibaraki City. I stopped by because I was in Takatsuki for the first time in a while. - Cream Puff: A two-layered puff with plenty of fresh cream and custard cream. Both creams were not too sweet, and the choux pastry was fluffy and crispy. It was delicious as always. I remember they used to have a smaller version of this which I used to buy often, but I wonder if they stopped selling it. - Fromage Fruits: A mousse covered with fruits, mixed berries compote, and Franboise cream in two layers. At the bottom was an almond biscuit base. - Blanc Manger: Despite its appearance, it was quite delicious. It had layers of biscuit joconde, chocolate orange mousse, banana sauce, rum syrup, vanilla bavarian cream, and fresh cream. It was a cake with many layers and had a hint of alcohol, making it a sophisticated treat. I only had the impression of their cream puffs before, and thought their cakes were just average, but I was happy to have them again after a long time. Thank you for the meal.

Doer is a long-established French pastry shop with six stores in Takatsuki and Ibaraki City. There is a parking lot for about 10 cars next to the main store. The store has a retro Showa atmosphere, which is quite comforting. In addition to fresh cakes and baked goods, they also sell ice shoes, especially during the summer. Surprisingly, they also offer cake and baked goods delivery, limited to Ibaraki and Takatsuki City, for orders over 1500 yen. Let me introduce you to Doer's strawberry shortcake! 【Taste rating details can be found in the blog】 【Price】 378 yen (including tax) (as of July 2016) 【Overall impression】 The sponge cake is dense with a firm layer of whipped cream. The key points of this shortcake are two-fold. Firstly, the whipped cream is light and not too sweet, with a subtle sweetness. It feels light when eaten, possibly due to the low fat content. The reason is not clear, but it doesn't feel rich, more like a quick transition from mouth to stomach. The amount of sugar used is also not excessive. Instead, the sponge cake is sweet, creating a good balance! (With the low fat content and sugar in the whipped cream, it might make you question if it's really shortcake cream, but the balance with the sponge is perfect, and the buttercream layer adds a punch. The second key point is the thin layer of buttercream between the sponge and whipped cream. It adds a punch to the overall light cake. Despite being light overall, the buttercream layer gives a subtle accent, balancing the whole cake. As expected from a shop loved by people of all ages for many years, the taste is never boring no matter how many times you eat it!♡ I write blogs specializing in shortcakes, cream puffs, and bread. Please take a look ♡ =========== Shortcake Specialized Blog http://kansou.bitter.jp/shortcake Cream Puffs and Bread Blog http://kansou.bitter.jp/cream_puff_bread ===========

(2016/05/06 Revisited) After visiting my parents' house, I had a craving for Doel's cream puffs, but unfortunately, they were sold out. I settled for the cream parfait, of which there were only four left in the showcase. Feeling a bit disappointed, I ended up buying all four and managed to persuade my wife to get two more, so we ended up with six (laughs). My wife also bought a rum puff to take home. We then checked another store near Sōji-ji Station, and luckily, we were able to find the cream puffs we were looking for. Over the weekend, cream puffs became my breakfast and snack (laughs). Doel's parfait is always delicious and well-balanced. (2016/02/14) As a Valentine's gift, my wife requested a Felt Sandwich (18cm, 1,620 yen) from Doel. They come in three sizes, but the 18cm one has the best balance and tasty buttercream. The sponge quality may have slightly declined compared to twenty years ago, but it's still delicious. When I crave it during my business trips, I usually settle for a Frankfurter Krantz from Uheim, but the cream can be a bit heavy. I will enjoy this treat. (2015/11/03 Revisited) I visited Doel after my father's 49th-day memorial service. I have been searching for a tonkatsu equivalent to Doel's cream puffs in the Kanto region, but I haven't found any information yet. I decided to cool down my cream puff fever at the main store. I bought four cream parfaits for myself and some baked goods for my wife. After dinner, I enjoyed one parfait. The custard cream was exquisite, not too sweet, and melted in my mouth. I resisted the temptation to eat them all at once and saved the remaining three for breakfast the next day (laughs). Affordable and delicious. I learned my lesson from overly decorated or overly flavored creams, as they can get overwhelming quickly. I will definitely come back during the holiday season. (2015/08/15) A childhood favorite, Doel's cream puffs, were a must-have during my visit to my parents' house. I parked at the parking lot a bit away from the store and went inside. The quaint interior has remained the same for over 20 years. The only noticeable change was the window on the right side connecting to the workshop. Unfortunately, the small custard cream-filled cream puffs I wanted were sold out. I settled for the cream parfait with the same delicious custard cream. My wife chose financiers and other baked goods. The taste was as wonderful as ever. Despite trying cream puffs from various places during my frequent business trips, I have yet to find one that surpasses Doel's custard cream. My wife scolds me for overeating, but I promise to indulge in them again during my next visit.

When I was a child, when it came to cakes, I always thought of "Doel". Until a few years ago, I thought the main store was in Takatsuki, but actually there is a main store with a unique atmosphere in Sojiji. This time, my wife bought a tart that is only available at the store that is not available at the Takatsuki store. Strawberry tart, lemon tart, Famille (a tart with custard pudding in between), a tart with lots of fruit - all of them are delicious in a safe way. I usually only buy at the Takatsuki store, so it's nice to make a special trip to buy limited cakes once in a while.

Sakuristan Packuncho♪ Tomoko has been enjoying the baked goods from Doel, a bakery with several stores in the northern part of Osaka since 1968. She recently discovered this bakery and tried their Sakuristan and Walnut Tree pastries. The Sakuristan has a crispy texture with a sweet granulated sugar and buttery aroma. The Walnut Tree pastry has a mild walnut bitterness with a hint of coffee flavor and cinnamon. Both pastries were delicious and she also tried other baked goods like cookies, financiers, and caramel cakes. She later tried the Bonbon Chocolates from Doel for White Day, choosing the Tonka flavor which has a rich exotic aroma similar to cocoa. The chocolates were beautifully presented in a golden box with a variety of flavors. Tomoko also tried the Cream Parfait from Doel, enjoying the fluffy sponge and rich ganache combination. She continues to be a fan of Doel's various sweets and looks forward to trying more in the future.

I visited this shop a while ago. It was located near the Soshigaya-Okura station, through the shopping street, in front of a large housing complex in Soshigaya. The shop was small but had a variety of delicious fresh sweets and baked goods. I bought a "Cream Puff" that looked delicious in the showcase and ate it later. It had a classic taste with layers of whipped cream and custard, reminiscent of the Swan Cream Puff I had at a hotel long ago. The sweetness was just right and very delicious. I also liked that the quality was high and the prices were reasonable.

When I visited my uncle in the hospital, my cousin bought me an almond tart from a famous shop in Ibaraki, which my second daughter loves. We used to go there often when we lived in Settsu. The small cream puffs were always sold out quickly. While wandering around the underground shopping area from Amagasaki to Umeda, my daughter held it carefully. My husband ended up carrying it for her later on. When we got home and opened it, it was a beautiful almond tart. My daughter was thrilled. It looked delicious with plenty of almonds and a crispy crust. The tart crust was not too sweet and had a nice texture. It was filling after just one slice. I was most happy that my cousin remembered what my daughter likes. I enjoyed it with gratitude to my cousin.

I received some sweets that made me feel surrounded by happiness. I had heard of DOEL somewhere before, and it seems they have quite a few branches. When I opened the bag, my excitement dropped a bit because I'm not a fan of the gritty feeling of sugar coating around sweets. But when I took a bite, ... the grittiness did bother me a bit, but the inside was really delicious and I didn't mind at all. It had an elegant and refined taste.

I live in Higashinari-ku, Osaka, and there are several well-known cake shops nearby such as Kent House, Kentel, and Cozy. I didn't think about going far to buy cakes. However, when I mentioned to a female colleague who lives in Ibaraki about going to a delicious udon restaurant called Karan in Ibaraki, she eagerly recommended that I buy cakes from Doel. Intrigued by her enthusiasm, I decided to stop by. After searching online, I found out that Doel is an established chain with multiple branches. I drove there as it was inconvenient to take the train that day. I was relieved to find parking easily near the shop. I didn't research the recommended cakes in advance, but I visited on a weekday during the "Member Appreciation Day," and the store was busy. I ended up choosing a strawberry cake, cream puffs, and a fruit tart that caught my eye. I also requested extra dry ice as I had other plans before heading home. Unfortunately, the cakes were a bit melted by the time I got back. Despite that, I enjoyed the cream puffs first, which had a perfect balance of cream and custard. They were not too rich and very delicious. Next, I tried the fruit tart with a buttery and moist base topped with a variety of fruits. It was also tasty, with the lemon tart being slightly sweet but the fruit toppings being excellent. I would definitely recommend both the cream puffs and the fruit tart. Overall, Doel is a cake shop worth visiting again if I have the chance.

This time, I received it as a souvenir. The main store is a little far from Hankyu Sozenji Station, but there is also a store in front of the station. Also, it seems that there are about five stores between Ibaraki-shi Station and Takatsuki Station. In front of Sozenji Station, there are shops like Miel, Kisen, Teijuan, and Yaaman, typical of the northern part of Osaka. What I received was a Paflor, according to the description, it is a cake rolled with choux pastry and sponge... The appearance is indeed a unique choux pastry style that is not seen elsewhere. This cake is made by layering sponge, butter cream, and apricot jam on the choux pastry. I later found out from the instructions that this cake is meant to be enjoyed at room temperature to savor the softness of the choux pastry. Therefore, the sponge is made firmer with less eggs, and the cream is a butter cream that does not easily melt. The following is the impression when I tried it refrigerated. First, I cut it with a knife, but it is quite hard and firm. When I try to serve it on a plate, the choux pastry is sticky and hard. It's not easy to cut through it crisply. When I try to cut it with force, the butter cream pieces fly off due to the momentum. (Sweat) Since I did not follow the pastry chef's instructions on how to eat it, I endure it and move on. As mentioned earlier, the sponge is firm and crumbly. In that sense, it may be out of fashion, but it may be better suited to the stickiness of the choux pastry. The amount of cream is appropriate, and the accent of the apricot jam at the end is nice. I think the final balance is good. As a product's added value, it must differentiate itself from others, and I felt the struggles and efforts in that regard. A friend brought it as a souvenir when they visited. ○ Sacristan It refers to twisted pie crust. It has a firm brown color all the way to the core, and the crispy texture continues to the core. The butter flavor is also sufficient, goes well with coffee, tea, anything. ○ Walnut Tree It also has a firm brown color all the way to the core. The butter flavor is also sufficient, and the pie crust is flavored with cinnamon. Enjoy the harmony with the topping of walnuts.

I tried the fruit roll cake from Mr. Doel, a cake shop near Sōji-ji Station. It is a well-known local confectionery shop, with cream puffs being the most popular item. The roll cake I had was delicious, with a light cream and fluffy sponge that wasn't too heavy. It didn't give me heartburn, so I could eat as much as I wanted. We had two kilograms of it due to the number of people, but it seems like we could still eat more.

DOEL, a confectionery shop with its main store in Ibaraki, Osaka, sent me a gift of assorted baked goods. The orange cake and financiers were all delicious, but the standout was the Maron Busse. The fluffy Busse had a sparkling surface of granulated sugar. Inside, there was a light buttercream and chopped chestnuts, creating a flavor reminiscent of cheese cream. The crispy granulated sugar and the rich taste of chestnuts combined with the gentle Busse to create a delicious treat. The short shelf life of these treats is understandable given their taste. Those who enjoy them are sure to become addicted.

I bought a cream puff (choux cream) which is a specialty of the shop. On Saturdays, the regular price of 126 yen per piece is discounted to 105 yen, which was a lucky find! The shop also offers choux ice cream which seemed popular, but I was too full from eating at a tropical restaurant earlier to try it. I enjoyed the cream puff at home about 4 hours later. The choux pastry was soft, filled generously with whipped cream and custard, making it quite substantial. The cream and custard were not too sweet and delicious. I could have eaten two if I wasn't worried about the calories. It was a great deal for 105 yen! The other cakes in the shop were also reasonably priced and looked adorable.

This place seems to be quite popular around here, as even on this night, despite it being late, customers kept coming in non-stop. At one point, there were as many as 13 people in the shop when I was there. I chose 5 cakes for takeout on this day. I'll describe them with numbers since I forgot the names and prices. Cake ①: A cheesecake with a cookie base and sponge rolled around it. The cheese isn't too sour and is smooth and delicious. Highly recommended. Cake ②: I didn't try this one, so I can't comment. Cake ③: A simple strawberry shortcake. The sweetness of the whipped cream is mild. Personally, I prefer it to be a bit richer and sweeter. Cake ④: Orange-flavored. Not too sweet, with the acidity of the orange standing out. Cake ⑤: The chocolate flavor is exquisite and delicious. The sponge seems intentionally coarse and soft. This was the second most delicious one today. They were all quite tasty, which explains their popularity. There is no parking lot, but it's just a 1-minute walk from the station. There is also a coin parking nearby.

This cream puff from a French pastry shop called Doel is a delicious treat that I received as a gift. It's quite large in size. When you take a bite, you'll taste the delicious crispy choux pastry, which is like a crunchy shortbread or biscuit. It's very different from your average cream puff. The cream filling has a good balance between whipped cream and custard, with plenty of filling. The cream isn't too sweet and has a light finish. It's a new and enjoyable take on cream puffs that has become my favorite.

Cake shop located a short walk from Hankyu Sojiji Station. The interior is quite spacious, but the amount of cakes seems a bit limited. There is a large parking lot, so it's better to use this shop over the one in front of Sojiji Station when driving. The customer service is good. Recommended items include: Rare Cheese Tart (388 yen) - topped with pear pulp and mousse, it offers great value for its price. Cream Puff (50 yen) - one of the popular items, and very affordable. Chocolat au Cassis (480 yen) - layers of chocolate mousse, sponge, and cassis mousse, although the sponge was slightly dry.

This place, "Doel," is an old cake shop where I always buy cream puffs if they are displayed in the showcase outside the store. They are not as small as mini cream puffs, but they are filled with custard and only cost 50 yen each! It's definitely a great deal. They have a variety of cakes and baked goods, but when you think of Doel, you think of cream puffs. They tend to sell out by lunchtime, so I always make sure to check when passing by the store.笑
