I was looking for something small to give as a thank you gift to someone, and I came across this place. It was around 6 p.m. so they were running low on items. If you're planning to give it to someone, it's better to go for the boxed ones. They start from around 800 yen. If you buy them individually, they come in plain plastic bags without any logos, so it might be a bit embarrassing to give them as a gift. In the end, I missed the opportunity to give it to someone and ended up eating them alone, haha. So, I bought 3 bean paste buns, a white bean paste taiyaki, a matcha waffle, and a rum raisin waffle for a total of around 700 yen. In terms of prices, the bean paste buns were around 55 yen each. The others were roughly 170 yen each. I haven't eaten taiyaki for a long time, so I forgot the going rate, but I think it's on the cheaper side. At least, the waffles are quite large for the price. As for the taste, I was pleasantly surprised. Usually, cold taiyaki can be dry and crumbly, but these were not like that. The bean paste buns were filled with white bean paste and had a satisfying bite to them. The taiyaki was also packed with bean paste from head to tail. I could taste a hint of red specks and a subtle sakura flavor, so maybe it was sakura white bean paste? The taiyaki was delicious. I forgot that the bean paste taiyaki was white bean paste, so that was a mistake, haha. The waffles were fluffy, similar to the ones you find in supermarkets in packs of 5 (a difficult comparison). The rum raisin waffle had plenty of rum raisins and reminded me of Rokkatei's butter sandwich. The cream was custard-based instead of butter cream, giving it an elegant touch. The matcha waffle had a strong matcha flavor, which was surprising. It had more matcha taste than regular sweets. Despite being cold, they were still delicious. They were much tastier than I had imagined. It was a pleasant surprise. It's not often that something turns out to be tastier than expected, so I experienced that feeling again after a long time. Even if you're not a big fan of this type of sweet, you'll be satisfied. The prices are reasonable, so I recommend this place for buying convenience store sweets! It's also great for gifts. The waffles and taiyaki are really good! Thank you for the meal!
