This restaurant is located on the 7th floor of the South Building of Grand Front Osaka. It is an izakaya specializing in Japanese sake and Japanese cuisine. The name of the restaurant is "Nurukan," but they also offer cold sake and hot sake in addition to lukewarm sake. They have a wide variety of Japanese sake available, making it a recommended spot for sake lovers. Grand Front Osaka seems to have many sake-focused restaurants, all of which are popular and bustling. You may need to make a reservation in advance, as priority is given to those who have booked ahead. If you walk in directly, you will need to write your name and wait in line. The sake is served with labels attached, which is a stylish touch. While the name of the restaurant is "Nurukan," they offer not only lukewarm sake but also cold sake and hot sake. For my first drink, I ordered "Kido" and "Bom." Both were perfect as a pre-meal drink. Next, when the oden arrived, I ordered "Daishichi" with hot sake. Personally, I may prefer hot sake over lukewarm sake (^_^;) It depends on personal preference. If you prefer alcohol that doesn't evaporate too quickly, lukewarm sake is recommended. Here are reviews of three items: "Assorted Chicken White Broth Oden with 7 Types," "Shinshu Herb Chicken Dashi Karaage," and "Today's Seafood Soup." The oden had a unique flavor with a rich white miso-like broth. It was delicious in its own way. The Karaage was also unique, with a fluffy coating and well-balanced flavor when eaten with the chicken. It paired perfectly with the Japanese sake. The seafood soup of the day was as expected, with yellowtail. However, it was surprising in terms of appearance and quantity when it arrived last. The seasoning was tasty, but the soy sauce was a bit too strong, making it overwhelming towards the end. The menu offers a wide variety, and while the portions are quite generous, it is recommended to visit with at least two people, such as a couple or a pair.

I met with my college juniors at a restaurant they reserved for me, as they knew I love sake. The restaurant is located on the 7th floor of Grand Front Osaka and has a great selection of sake. Surprisingly, they start serving alcohol from 11 am. We decided to order a la carte instead of the lunch menu. I chose Ginban Junmai Ginjo served cold, one junior chose Kido Shiboritate Junmai Ginjo served at room temperature, and the other junior, who doesn't drink, ordered a soft drink. We also ordered a sashimi platter and dashimaki. The sake was served in tin cups, kept at a constant temperature in wooden boxes. We toasted and enjoyed the rich flavor and aroma of the sake. The sashimi platter consisted of tai, hirame, honmaguro toro, striped jack, and buri. Each piece was delicious and paired well with the sake. Next, we had the dashimaki, which was soft and flavorful, especially with grated daikon and soy sauce. We ordered more sake, including Izumo Fuji Tokubetsu Junmai and Amago no Tsuki. We discussed our future plans, with one junior volunteering and the other returning to research and education. We ordered more dishes like chicken karaage, nasu dengaku, and tempura platter, which surprisingly paired well with sake. I enjoyed Himeji Ichiken Origarami, while the juniors had Gikyou. The atmosphere was calm and perfect for enjoying the food, sake, and conversation. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

I really enjoyed the meal. The sashimi was particularly fresh, and the other dishes were well-prepared with a good sense of flavor. The menu showed a dedication to Japanese sake, which was evident in the selection. I'm not very knowledgeable about sake, but the detailed descriptions made it enjoyable to try different varieties. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also calm and pleasant.

Nurukan Sato-san is known for serving delicious sake and appetizers, but I visited during lunchtime. They offer a variety of lunch sets, all of which looked delicious. I ordered the seafood bowl and seasonal vegetable tempura set. The tempura was crispy and tasty, and I was satisfied with the seafood bowl as well. Next time, I want to try the popular tai-meshi set that was sold out!

Located on the 7th floor of Grand Front Osaka, directly connected to JR Osaka Station, this izakaya has a counter with 9 seats on the left side and two 2-person table seats. On the right side, there are several table seats, but the view is obstructed. When I visited on a Sunday at 6:30 pm after making a reservation on Tabelog, about 70-80% of the seats were occupied. The interior has a slightly Western feel, with jazz music playing in the background. For food, I ordered a sashimi platter with 5 types instead of the usual 3 types thanks to a Sunday dinner coupon on Tabelog. It included sea bream, tuna, conger eel, amberjack, and mackerel. The price was reasonable with the coupon, but might feel a bit pricey at regular rates. The beef tendon and daikon simmered dish was typical of what you would expect from a chain izakaya. The tempura platter with shrimp and seasonal vegetables looked overcooked and the oil used seemed to be of poor quality. In terms of sake, they had a decent selection with labels and brief descriptions provided, which was a nice touch. Overall, for a chain izakaya, the variety of sake was impressive. However, it's best not to set high expectations for the food. Thank you for the meal.

I visited on a weekday night. Despite it being a weekday, it was very crowded, so I'm glad I made a reservation. I ordered the Sato course for 5000 yen. The food was as shown in the photos. There wasn't a lot of it, so men might find it lacking. The drinks are all-you-can-drink, but the service was surprisingly slow. The operation was not great. Thank you for the meal ☺️

On a regular day at 11:30, jazz music plays at the Grand Front South Building 7th floor. The location is great and the prices are reasonable. The premium hot towel service is a nice touch. I had a hard time deciding on the menu, as no one asked for my order. The kitchen staff in their 30s finally took my order. I chose a tasting set of Junmai Ginjo sake for 1840 yen and Bonito Tataki with grated daikon (recommended of the day) for 1050 yen. During lunchtime, there are many lunch options available. It's no surprise that it takes some time to be served. The operation seems a bit slow, and both drinks and food take a while to arrive. It's common to wait for about 15 minutes. With the smartphone era, people try to kill time. A group of 10 people arrived without a reservation. Will they be able to handle it? The Tataki, flavored vegetables, and cilantro were the highlights. This place is more suitable for those with plenty of time. The total bill came to 2890 yen. The meal was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I happened to find this restaurant and the food and drinks were of high quality and delicious. They offer a variety of sake from all over Japan, categorized by type such as wine glass, room temperature, lukewarm, and hot sake, which makes it enjoyable. The lukewarm sake is a bit too lukewarm, so I recommend having it slightly warmer.

I had a summer vegetable and chicken with thickened sauce set meal for lunch. You can also order a la carte dishes even at lunchtime! There are plenty of alcoholic drinks available. I wanted to keep it light this day, so I only had a highball, but they have a wide variety of sake so it's a must-try for sake lovers even during lunchtime. The lunch set meal portion is quite generous, so it might be tough for those with small appetites! I was able to eat to my heart's content and am satisfied.

I used it for lunch. I had made a reservation in advance, so I was able to enter smoothly. I was aiming for the Sea Bream Rice Set Meal. Considering the location, the volume for 1500 yen seemed to be a good deal. Personally, I think I could have finished the Sea Bream Rice without the tea pickles until the end because it was so delicious. It was a bit of a downside that the seaweed and rice crackers to put on the tea pickles, and the dessert of warabi mochi were all on the same plate. It might fall off when you tilt the plate, right? It didn't fall off though! I wanted to have coffee after the meal, but they didn't have it. Maybe it's to increase turnover rate, but it was a bit disappointing. The service was relatively quick, and I think I would be willing to come back to this restaurant again.

Great value lunch at a restaurant known for its sake! The lunch menu offers a variety of dishes perfect for workers. I ordered the Saury Saikyo-yaki set, which had a healthy and delicious taste. They also have a wide range of options, including sashimi and fried foods. Even if you can't drink sake, this place is still worth a visit for lunch!

I wanted to order the sea bream rice bowl, but it was already sold out by 12:15 due to limited quantity. So, I opted for the sukiyaki set meal, which had just the right amount of meat. There were also semi-private table seats available. They kindly accommodated a change in the number of people on the day of our visit.

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant on a holiday afternoon. There was a line outside the restaurant due to the holiday, but the inside was empty probably because of the reservation. The tai meshi chazuke was limited in quantity, but they still had some left at noon. My friend and I ordered it. The food was served surprisingly quickly. The female staff member's explanation was polite, and she informed us that we couldn't get seconds of the tai meshi, which I appreciated. Since everywhere was crowded, I was glad we made a reservation. For 1500 yen, we were satisfied with the fullness and the ability to get refills of rice and miso soup.

I had a lunch of simmered pork belly. The pork belly was cooked until very tender and delicious. The rich flavor paired perfectly with the rice. Next time, I want to try the sea bream rice bowl which was sold out. Thank you for the meal.

The atmosphere, service of the staff, sake list, and the delicious looking a la carte menu for dinner made me want to visit this place to enjoy sake and dishes at night. For lunch, they offer a limited quantity of sea bream ochazuke lunch for around 1500 yen. Their sake selection includes Kido.

Visited for Sunday lunch. My father wanted to have a drink at noon, so I made a reservation at this place with a wide variety of options. The limited quantity sea bream rice bowl was already sold out by the time we arrived at 12 o'clock. The tofu in the set meal was strangely frozen. However, the fried dish was crispy and delicious. The Umeda lunch set was priced at 1600 yen, plus the cost of alcohol, which was reasonable. The seating was at a 4-person table, but the tables were spaced apart, giving a comfortable feeling. I probably won't be returning.

- The taste of the dishes is delicious. - The atmosphere is nice. - However, I felt that the cost performance was not that great (but maybe it's because it's located in Grand Front, haha). - It seems that the sashimi is cut into 2 pieces each time, so if you go with 3 people or more, it's better to order multiple servings. - Despite the restaurant being quite spacious, there are no call buttons, and sometimes the orders are forgotten and the food takes a long time to arrive, so it's necessary to double-check a few times. - Also, on weekends, there are set seating times, so it's important to take control and place your orders in advance. For various reasons, I don't plan on going back again.

A slightly stylish Japanese izakaya on the 7th floor of Grand Front Osaka South Building. In the evening, they have a wide selection of sake, making it a great place to enjoy food and drinks leisurely. I visited during lunchtime on a holiday. It was crowded as expected for lunchtime, but I had made a reservation on Tabelog, so we were quickly seated at a spacious table by the window. The restaurant looks small from the outside, but it's surprisingly spacious inside, and the window seats offer a relaxing view from the 7th floor. The lunch menu included 9 types of set meals and individual items like udon. I wanted to try the limited quantity Tai Meshi set meal for 1,500 yen (tax included), but it was sold out that day, so my friend and I had the Sato's Karaage set meal for 1,200 yen (tax included) and the Pork Kakuni set meal for 1,380 yen (tax included). The karaage, marinated in a secret sauce for a day and night, was tender, juicy, and flavorful, with a crispy coating. The kakuni, simmered for 3 hours, had a rich flavor and a mix of tender and slightly firm pieces. The side dishes, rice, and miso soup were also delicious, and we left feeling satisfied. I'd like to visit again in the evening. Thank you for the meal.

We enjoyed a meal with a friend from America who visited Japan after 3 years. We tasted 10 different types of Japanese sake, one cup each. The course included all-you-can-drink for 5000 yen including tax. We started with jellyfish and yuba appetizer, followed by delicious sea bream carpaccio. The friend loved the bonito sashimi. We also had lemon-grilled pork, seasonal vegetable tempura, and rice soup with burnt rice. It was fun to taste the different flavors of sake in the tin containers.

Today, let's have lunch at Umeda. There are many facilities there, so first we need to decide where to eat. Let's go to Grand Front Osaka after a long time! Should we go to the North Building or the South Building? We headed to the restaurants floor in the South Building. It was just lunchtime, so we walked from end to end, trying to decide what to eat. There were various tempting smells, making our stomachs growl. We chose Nuru Kan Sato Osaka. The deciding factor was the freshly cooked rice in a clay pot. I'm always drawn to places with delicious rice. I ordered the Pork Stew Set with Soft-Boiled Egg for 1,280 yen. It arrived on a tray. There were quite a few items sold out on the lunch menu, so the choices were limited. The rice was fluffy and delicious! The side dishes included chilled tofu, hijiki seaweed, miso soup, and pickles, all carefully and skillfully prepared. The main dish, pork stew on rice, was hearty and tender, with the fibers melting in the mouth. The flavorful egg went perfectly with the rice. The popular dish at the restaurant is Tai Meshi, which can be all-you-can-eat for an additional charge. Unfortunately, it was sold out, so it may be a first-come, first-served basis. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the meal. Nuru Kan Sato Osaka 050-5592-1894 4-20 Oofukamachi, Kita-ku, Osaka, Osaka Grand Front Osaka South Building 7F.

A slightly upscale izakaya with locations in Tokyo and Osaka that specializes in selling sake. They offer dishes like Taimeshi Zen (sea bream rice bowl) and assorted obanzai dishes. The Obanzai 12-item set meal is priced at 2500 yen. It's a bit disappointing that there are many boiled dishes in the set. The sashimi and tempura were delicious though! ☺️

I drank a lot of Osaka sake at Nuru-kan Sato, and the food was elegant and delicious! Especially, the Hooubita sake was delicious. The dishes included Hamo Yubiki (elegant), Dashimaki Tamago (thick and flavorful), and Miso-pickled Cheese made in-house (good for snacking). The Beef Tendon Daikon Simmer (well-cooked beef tendon) was delicious, and the Tai Meshi Yaki Onigiri Chazuke (rice ball with sea bream) was flavorful. The Sashimi Assortment was fresh, with the tuna being very tender. The Appetizer Assortment included Ume Suisho, Sake To, and Shio-Kara, which were good for snacking. Overall, the food was delicious and went well with the sake.
