Hot steak served on a sizzling iron plate while enjoying Mita-ya's famous ham salad... The pickled plum here is also delicious! I had a sudden craving for it and requested it from my partner! It's been so many years since I last had it. I decided to visit Mita-ya near Kintetsu Yao Station! I parked at a nearby coin parking lot, not realizing they had a partnered parking area. Oh well, it was my first time there and I didn't know. The ambiance of this place, the luxurious setting, and the grand piano at Mita-ya, it's all so grand! This spacious setting adds to the flavor! The retro Showa atmosphere and strangely calming feeling. The lunch steak, 90g for ¥1700, my partner had the double 140g for ¥2200, both made of healthy tenderloin. If I had to say something, I prefer a bit more fatty meat, but... First, the ham salad! Yay! This is it! Thinly sliced ham, sliced onions, and a delicious dressing. Yum! The salty ham, onions, and light dressing really go well together! You can get one refill! Who wouldn't want a refill, right? The lettuce salad with South Island dressing and the consomme soup are also delicious. The ham salad is finished just as the steak arrives. Enjoy the steak on the hot iron plate with vegetables, cooking the meat while eating. The sauce is light, almost like ponzu... with garlic, onions, green beans, and potatoes. Cook it to your liking. Huff, huff! It's light and delicious! The tenderloin is tasty, but the pickled plum is the best! Sweet, tangy, and not too salty. Soft flesh... Ah, I need to go buy pickled plums in Wakayama again! Coffee is also included after the meal. It's not high-end, but just a regular coffee to enjoy in the calm atmosphere. Sometimes, a luxurious lunch is nice!

It's been a while. Quite a long time. I used to live in Yao, so I used to come here occasionally. My wife suggested we come here after a long time. It's on the 6th floor of a building that gives off a Showa era vibe. The interior is covered with Showa era-style glass. There is a grand piano inside. Such an atmosphere is calming. We ordered the steak lunch (90g) for ¥1,600 (excluding tax). It has gone up by ¥100 since the last time we came. First, we had the ham salad for the appetizer. It was delicious. And you can have seconds. This could be the main reason for coming here. A salad also comes with it. And then the main dish, a sizzling steak served on a hot plate. It comes out raw, so you can cook it to your liking. You can also have seconds of rice. The soup is consommé soup. And coffee after the meal. You can eat slowly and it's perfect for entertaining in a calm atmosphere. I hope this place remains here forever. By the way, this Mita-ya in Yao is slightly cheaper compared to other branches. Maybe it's because of the area. lol. Thank you for the meal!

We decided to go to the popular steakhouse Mita-ya, known for their delicious ham. It is located right near Kintetsu Yao Station. There is a parking lot nearby at a large supermarket (I forgot the name) where you can get a parking ticket. We started with a ham appetizer, which was refillable. It was served with onions and was so delicious that we ended up getting seconds. The steak that followed was tender and tasty, and we finished it in no time. Rice and pickled plum were also served, which added to our satisfaction. For dessert, we could choose between ice cream or coffee.

After decades, I visited for lunch. I used to avoid coming here because the atmosphere was dark and the staff were unfriendly, making me feel uncomfortable. However, the air has completely changed, and the ambiance was very pleasant. The staff were cheerful and efficient, providing excellent service. The meat was tender and delicious, so I will definitely come back! The lunch steak set includes onion and ham appetizer, salad, soup, steak, rice with pickled plum, and coffee or dessert for around 1700 yen.

Our family's favorite restaurant from a long time ago!^^* They serve unlimited sliced raw ham as a starter here, which is so exciting! You can wrap the roughly cut onion slices in the special dressing and then wrap them in raw ham to eat. It's delicious! The raw ham is quite thick and satisfying to eat. The special dressing is addictively tasty, made with a sweet and refreshing base of carrots. And the steak. It's served rare, and customers cook it themselves on a hot iron plate while eating! The plate here is hotter than at other steak restaurants, making the sizzling sound really intense and long-lasting. To prevent the meat from burning, there are plenty of onion slices spread out on the plate. And the meat. Hmm, the Japanese black beef is amazing! The sirloin has plenty of marbling. There's still room for some more marbling, haha, even though my parents said it was already too rich. We enjoyed seasoning the meat with special ponzu sauce, salt, and pickled plum, and finished it in no time! Hmm! Thank you for the meal!^^*

I have been to other Mitateya restaurants before, but the service here is... This was my second visit, and it's really not a good idea to come during busy times. It was Saturday lunchtime, and there were several groups waiting. It's normal to be seated in order, but a customer who came in right after me cut in front and was seated before me. Even the people who were waiting before me seemed irritated. The staff should do something about it, but customers should also respect those who were waiting before them. Finally, I was seated and served salad and ham. The ham was delicious! That's why I came here! Next up was the meat, but I waited for 30 minutes. It was long. I was hungry. The person who came in after me and cut in front... they have already finished eating. Finally, the meat arrived. The 1575 yen single and 2100 yen double meat were just average. Rice is refillable. However, I felt sorry for the person I came with. I might want to come back for the ham, but I will go somewhere else. I won't come back here. I didn't leave feeling satisfied last time or this time. Couples who are not close should be careful about using this place for a date. The atmosphere is okay, but it's really a shame.

I met up with my classmate at Kintetsu Nara-Yao Station and went to eat meat. Even though I had eaten yakiniku the day before, I am a meat-loving girl who dislikes fish! No problem at all (laughs). We arrived at 12:30. We didn't make a reservation, but the restaurant was spacious so we were able to get in smoothly. I have eaten at this restaurant several times before because they have many branches. I wanted to eat light and easy-to-eat meat, so I chose the following: 'Sirloin Steak Lunch' ¥1680 100g Soup Salad Ham Appetizer Sirloin Steak Dessert or Coffee. First, we started with the 'Ham Appetizer'. The photo shows two servings. It's the restaurant's specialty. Onion slices wrapped in ham with delicious original dressing. I often buy ham and dressing at the department store because they are so tasty. You can get seconds, and the staff will ask you. Of course, I got seconds and devoured it all. Next, the long-awaited dish arrived - '100g Sirloin Steak'. Be careful of the sizzling hot iron plate. Spread butter and garlic slices on the empty space of the iron plate and cook it to your liking. It looks so delicious! Let's dig in. "It's so tender!" The meat is lean, so it's very light and easy to eat. It has a protein-rich taste similar to thigh meat, but not as tough. Once it's cooked to your liking, move it onto the onion slices to prevent it from overcooking. The meal also included 'Salad', 'Consomme Soup', 'Rice, Pickled Plum', and 'Yuzu Sherbet'. The soup was a bit bland, I wish it had more flavor. The rice was generously portioned and tasted delicious, freshly cooked rice. I was happy about that. I finished my meal deliciously and cleanly! The restaurant wasn't too crowded, so we were able to relax even after eating. The staff were polite and left a good impression. The interior of the restaurant has an old feel, but it is bright with natural light. However, if they could add more vibrant colors to the furniture and decor, it would leave an even better impression. Thank you for the meal! o(^▽^)o

I went to the Uricaragemoyim ethnic cultural festival to watch my daughter perform, which was held at the Festival Hall near Kintetsu Yao. Afterward, I debated where to have lunch and decided to go a little fancy with Sandaya Honten in Yao. The roast ham for the appetizer is best eaten with onions. You can get seconds (maybe only once). Then, a sizzling steak on an iron plate was brought out, putting me in a state of happiness. Since it's raw, you cook it yourself quickly. There was also live piano music playing, and it seems they played "Aura Lee," a song my daughter is learning in her music class. Check out my blog for more details!

I haven't had the opportunity to visit Mita-ya recently. Last Wednesday, I was looking for a place to have a formal meal and remembered that I used to go to Mita-ya often about two years ago. So, I decided to go there again after a long time. Previously, there was a sense of luxury from the moment you entered the restaurant, with piano music playing, etc. This time, however, that atmosphere was not present. The meat was good. But, I wonder about the service aspects such as the lack of atmosphere and the rush to bring the drinks after ordering the course meal. The price seems high for just the meat, but what do you all think? I hope for good service from Mita-ya.

I used it for a business lunch on a weekday. It is located on the 6th floor of a mixed building in front of Yao Station on the Kintetsu Osaka Line. Although it is a well-known steak chain in Kansai, this was my first time using it. The staff's attire is unique, resembling "samue" workwear. You can feel the owner's commitment to the food, interior, and tableware. The overall taste is a bit retro, which may vary depending on preference. This time, I ordered the "Lunch Special Hires Steak Dish for 2840 yen." It comes with a 150g steak, ham appetizer, soup, salad, rice, pickled plum, and dessert or coffee. The ham appetizer was okay, but the steak was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited around 11:30 am on a weekday. The restaurant is on the 6th floor of a building near the station, so I thought it wouldn't be too crowded with plenty of other dining options around. However, to my surprise, there were quite a few customers enjoying the steak lunch special. The ham and onion dressing was delicious. The salad and soup were average. The meat, which I believe was lamb, was tender and tasty. You can get extra rice if you'd like. I personally enjoyed the pickled plum here, it had a nice flavor. For dessert, you can choose between coffee or yuzu sherbet. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet, making it a perfect place for a delicious lunch on a hot summer day. (Although the view is not great as it's surrounded by buildings.)

I visited for lunch on Saturday. It was after 2 pm, and there were about 2 other groups waiting, so I thought it was full, but when we were seated, there were plenty of empty tables and the tables of the customers who left were not cleaned up. There were 3-4 staff members, but they seemed overwhelmed. The towels and tea were not placed neatly, and there was a lack of explanation about the dishes (I didn't know we could get more ham, a simple explanation would have been nice). They brought rice first, then left without saying anything, which was amusing. There was no smile, which is the most basic part of customer service. As for the food, it's from a well-established restaurant. The soup tasted like diluted consomme, which I didn't like. However, no matter how good the food is, poor customer service is a deal-breaker. If there are other restaurants with good service, I would rather go there. I will never visit this restaurant again, despite the good food.

I meet up with friends and go here occasionally. It is located on the 6th floor of the Okada Building near the station. Our go-to lunch is the "lunchtime helle steak dish." First, a special thin-sliced ham appetizer is served. It's delicious to wrap sliced onions in this ham and eat it. It's topped with onion dressing. The meal also includes soup, salad, and rice. There's a thin, elegant plum pickled in the dish, which goes well with the rice. You get to cook a 100g steak on a hot iron plate yourself. At this time, you also cook sliced onions, potatoes, etc., with garlic slices and butter. Quite a bit of smoke comes out. The smell of garlic is nice. Dessert or coffee is served after the meal. I like the light blue tableware here. It's quite filling. You can really enjoy a leisurely meal. There is also a grand piano, and sometimes you can listen to live music. When coming by car, parking at the Seibu Department Store parking lot in front of the station will get you a one-hour free ticket for the bill. It's convenient. The room is quite spacious, but the ventilation may not be great as the smell tends to stick to your clothes. However, the food was delicious, so I'm satisfied. You can eat as much ham as you want here. Highly recommended.

I occasionally visit this place when I feel like having meat for lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. The lunch menu offers different options based on the amount of meat (100g or 150g), whether it comes with an aperitif, and dessert. I usually order the chef's choice 150g with aperitif. The ham appetizer goes well with the dressing and I can even ask for seconds, feeling a bit luxurious. The meat is served on a hot iron plate with plenty of onions and slices of raw garlic, allowing me to cook it to my liking. It's not incredibly delicious or tender, but it's quite tasty. The rice and delicious pickled plum that come with the meal are enjoyable. If the timing is right, you can enjoy live piano music while dining in a calm atmosphere. The chairs are low, which makes me wonder if they are designed for elderly or children. It's a place that makes me want to visit again.

I used to go to this restaurant often with my family and relatives like aunts, uncles, and grandparents. The place was somewhat dimly lit, with elegant chairs and tables, and sometimes there was even a grand piano playing. As a child, I remember feeling nervous about not being allowed to make noise or make clinking sounds with the dishes while eating. When I was a kid, I used to imagine going to faraway places for meals, but this restaurant was actually quite close to Yao Station. The lunch costs ¥1500, and the meat is delicious. The prosciutto that comes out first is incredibly tasty, and I can't quite describe it, but combined with the ambiance of the restaurant, it leaves a lasting impression as a taste of tradition.
