I had a great time eating and drinking at a restaurant that felt like dining outdoors, with the night breeze blowing. The complimentary dish was smoked duck. We ordered a platter of sausages, potato salad, Dassai sake, crunchy chilled green peppers, pickled cucumbers, grilled chicken wings, and gyoza. It was a fantastic meal.

The food is delicious, cost-effective, and I ended up going there twice this week. They have a variety of meat, fish, pasta, craft beer, and sake. The appetizers change daily and all options are delicious. A must-try is the seared mackerel, which was surprisingly good even for someone who doesn't usually like mackerel. The signature tuna dish is a steal at ¥110. The rare beef cutlet was juicy and flavorful for its price. The plain dashimaki tamago was light and tasty. The fried daikon was crispy and flavorful. They even have horse tongue sashimi if you're feeling adventurous. The pasta dishes are also recommended, especially the pepperyoncino made with fresh pasta. I will definitely be going back for more.

I went to GOTTO Sakaba in Higoshicho 4-chome on December 15th. It was cold, so I started with hot sake. The optional appetizer was tuna and lotus root cooked, which was not bad. The homemade potato salad was good, and the boiled egg side dish was deliciously gooey. The Wagyu beef sinew stew was cooked with just the sinew, and I had red wine with it. The Wagyu beef with salt and lemon was not as impressive as last time. That's all for tonight's 45-minute one-bottle match. Thank you for the meal.

I went to GOTTO Sakaba in Higashiro-cho, where I had a great time enjoying various dishes and drinks. The meal started with a refreshing draft beer and some black soybeans as an appetizer. The simmered beef tendon with a warm egg was delicious, and the sashimi platter was fresh and tasty. I also enjoyed some sake along with dishes like salted lemon-flavored Oshu beef and horse sashimi. The atmosphere was great, and I particularly liked the hot dishes like takoyaki and fried chicken. Overall, the food was delicious, and I found this restaurant to be a new favorite. Thank you for the meal!

I came to a bustling izakaya near my workplace with a friend, but I don't remember much. It was nice that we could choose our otoshi (appetizer). We ordered Himeji oden. Our order included dashi-maki tamago (Japanese rolled omelette), mackerel sushi with salt sauce, cucumber, beef sukiyaki soba, daikon radish, fried chicken, and gyoza. Everything was great as snacks with highballs. It was a perfect match. We will definitely go again. Thank you for the meal.

We visited with three people. The assorted sashimi was delicious, and everyone enjoyed the classic beef cutlet and tekka maki. The drinks were also tasty, but it was a shame that there was only one toilet and the restaurant was small. Outdoor dining in a tent seems like a good idea.

Visited in December 2021 and posted on Tabelog with a rating of 3.12 (from 29 reviews). We went to "GOTTO Sakaba Bingocho-cho Store" near Sakaisuji Hommachi Station with my family, and it turned out to be a better restaurant than expected. The counter was almost full, so we were seated at a table towards the back. The menu had a lot of seafood options, but there were also plenty of meat dishes, including horse sashimi directly from Kumamoto Prefecture. Here's what we ordered:
- Draft beer x2
- Bottled beer (medium)
- Crispy Caesar salad
- Specialty Daikon Karaage x2
- Wagyu tendon stew
- Seasonal sashimi platter (buri, sawara, salmon)
- Rare grilled chicken liver
- Grilled chicken neck and belly
- Beef sukiyaki yakisoba
- Dashi-maki resembling Akashiyaki
- Mapo tofu
- Juicy salted chicken karaage
The Daikon Karaage was exceptional, a must-try dish! It was like fried chicken soaked in flavorful oden broth, very hot so be careful. Everyone loved it so we ordered it again without hesitation. The seasonal sashimi platter was delicious, with buri, sawara, and salmon, each with a unique taste. The rare grilled chicken liver had a hint of sesame oil but was surprisingly light in flavor. The grilled chicken neck and belly were tender and had a good bounce to them. The beef sukiyaki yakisoba was better than regular sauce yakisoba, with a sukiyaki-style seasoning and plenty of meat and vegetables. The Dashi-maki resembling Akashiyaki was a large, flavorful rolled omelet soaked in broth with slices of ginger adding a nice touch. The mapo tofu was quite spicy, prompting us to order extra rice, but the tofu was soft and not too numbing. The juicy salted chicken karaage was indeed juicy and perfectly salted. Unfortunately, when we tried to visit a few months later, the restaurant was closed. We might go back again in the future. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Next to the popular Saru Shokudo, which is busy during both day and night, there is a restaurant. Currently, like many other places during the pandemic, they are open for lunch. They also sell bento boxes at the storefront. A lively young lady is working hard by herself. I have been to this place before when it was a different restaurant. The space is compact, with counter and table seating surrounding the kitchen. To reduce work, miso soup and water (or tea) are self-service. The lunch menu includes: - Beef steak set: 900 yen - Grilled mackerel set: 850 yen - Tuna steak set: 900 yen - Daily special set: 850 yen I ordered the grilled mackerel, which came with onsen tamago, cold tofu, and salad on the side. Rice and miso soup are refillable, which is a nice service. The grilled mackerel was reheated before serving. My colleague ordered the chicken steak, which was very generous in portion. I couldn't resist having seconds of the onsen tamago for my "TKG". I need to work on my willpower, or I'll end up with a beer belly. Looking at the lineup of sake and shochu, it's clear this is more of a nighttime establishment. Hopefully, one day we can enjoy good drinks, good food, and fish together again. Thank you for the meal.

Speed is not the only thing in life - Gandhi
Hello, it's food lover Iota! Sometimes I like to share reviews with quotes, so today I went to Gotto for a revisit. I was intrigued by their menu before, and since it's nearby, I decided to give it another try. Today, I tried their famous daikon radish tempura, and it was delicious! Next, I had their stone oven mapo tofu, daily garlic shrimp, wagyu beef yakiniku, and fresh fish namero. I finished off with 2 highballs. The staff's smiles added to the satisfaction, and I left the restaurant happy. Despite the pandemic, this place is doing well with customers. I recommend stopping by and trying it out!

I casually walked into the restaurant at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The layout of the restaurant had a central kitchen surrounded by counter seats, and there were also outdoor terrace seats. The atmosphere seemed nice, so I decided to enter. About 40% of the seats were occupied by customers. The menu was reasonably priced. The portion sizes were not large, but it was enough for adults to eat while drinking. In fact, there was a wide variety of options such as meat, fish, chicken, fried food, grilled dishes, etc., so it's better to try a few different items with smaller portions. I tried edamame, a sashimi platter, chicken liver, ankimo with ponzu sauce, and shrimp mayo, and all of them had high-quality flavors! I was also interested in the mapo tofu and deep-fried daikon. I would like to try them next time! It's a great place for a casual drink, and there were quite a few solo customers as well. By the time I left, the restaurant was full and even the terrace seats were occupied. It seems to be a popular spot. The convenience and usability are also good, so I would like to visit again. (^o^)

I visited after a long time. I was curious about the cabbage and shirasu stir-fry, but it turned out to be a stir-fry dish with cabbage and shirasu. Well, it was delicious. The sashimi assortment allows you to choose the types, so I had it with fresh octopus and grilled cured mackerel. I also want to try yellowtail, salmon, and seared fish. Even at a chain restaurant, it's delicious. The mapo tofu has a slightly unique taste. We also had fried chicken and chicken karaage. The sake selection includes Zaku and Toyo Bijin, with many brands to choose from, so I was satisfied. It cost 8,000 yen for two people. Thank you for the meal.

I had a drinking party in Honcho. The restaurant I wanted to go to was full, so I came here instead. The interior is not very spacious. There is a kitchen in the middle, surrounded by a counter, and there are tables for 2-3 people. The sashimi and dashimaki were delicious and very satisfying.

I don't remember how many times I've been there, but the cooking is skillful and there are many dishes that bring out the best in the ingredients! They also have a wide variety of alcohol! *I got too caught up with my friends and forgot to take a picture this time (⚭-⚭) I'll make sure to take one next time...

The store was small and a bit cramped, but the menu was extensive and everything was delicious! Plus, even if you ate a lot, the prices didn't go up much, so it was very cost-effective! It was located right near Honmachi Station, so it was a great location, and I wanted to go back many times.

You can smoke on the terrace with counters and tables. They serve Omi beef and beef cutlets. However, dishes like Yukke and rare cutlets are cooked quite well! They also accept PayPay and d card points.

First visit. I visited on Monday because there is a good drinking helper in Awaza! The staff are all young but their service was good and left a good impression. The food was cheap and everything I ate was delicious. The limited eel sashimi and the grand menu sukiyaki were top-notch! The drinks were also cheap, and three of us had a great meal and drink for less than 10,000 yen.
