I happened to come across a restaurant called Kanjankejan, which is registered as one of the top 100 restaurants. I was exploring the famous Korean town in both Tokyo's Shin-Okubo and Osaka's Tsuruhashi. This time, I was strolling through the Tsuruhashi district, which has a more old-town charm. There is a famous restaurant called Junten (with a crab sign), but it was full at the counter, so we went to the second branch. The interior of the restaurant had a vibe similar to Korean dramas. We ordered their specialty, Kanjankejan. I've had Kanjankejan in Tokyo before, but this one was huge. And surprisingly, the price was not high at all. One portion was enough for two people. The meat was tender and pleasantly chewy. The soy sauce marinade was incredibly rich in flavor. It's addictive. You must eat it with the rice that comes in the set, or else you'll get really thirsty. It goes really well with beer! We mixed the dish in the shell at the end and ate it. You might have some doubts based on the atmosphere of the town or the appearance of the restaurant, but the taste is unquestionable. If you love Kanjankejan, you must visit this place. *Photo: Kanjankejan

There is a Korean restaurant in a back alley near Teramachi, where you can enjoy an authentic atmosphere. I tried dishes like Chijimi and Samgyetang, which were very filling! The staff were friendly and kept bringing out dishes like tuna sashimi and sushi rolls, which I didn't even order - not sure if it was part of the service or not. The atmosphere may not be for everyone, but the food was delicious! I also had a Champagne Makgeolli, which was easy to drink and tasty. Thank you for the meal!

I've been coming to the main store here for about 10 years. I heard that a second store opened, so I decided to check it out since it's said to have a larger interior. This time, I was a bit disappointed because the seafood pancake didn't have any eggs, but the seafood pancake was incredibly delicious. It might be the best one I've ever had. I still prefer the seafood pancake at the main store though. Thank you for the meal.

We ordered the Kanjang Gejang (starting from 3,000 yen) and it arrived within 10 minutes. The dish came with a whole warty crab that was divided into 4 sections - the belly, shell, and claws, all of which were cut for easy eating. The crab meat was sweet and delicious when dipped in the savory Kanjang sauce. The crab miso in the shell mixed with rice was also a highlight. We also ordered the Bossam (2,000 yen) which included pork belly, lettuce, garlic, green chili, kimchi, and gochujang. Wrapping the pork belly, garlic, chili, kimchi, and rice in the lettuce was a delightful experience. The combination of flavors was amazing. Overall, both dishes were satisfying and delicious.

On this day, we started drinking in Tsuruhashi from noon! We went to Jonten recommended by a friend for our third stop. The main store was full so we were guided to the second store. We ordered the chijimi at the main store and then moved to the second store. A beautiful lady guided us to the second store, but then smoothly passed us on to a staff member from the second store, which was a nice coordinated play. The chijimi and shrimp were delicious! We also ordered the oyster kimchi. I think they went all the way to the main store to bring it for us. We drank too much and as usual, forgot to take photos and they turned out blurry. I want to try the kkanjang gejang next time. It's a restaurant that makes you want to go to Korea again! Thank you for the meal! Thank you.

I was taken to the second branch of Juntian by my aunt for the first time. It's different from the main branch, it's really spacious. They serve the same delicious dishes like the kejang and ama-dai tempura brought over from the main branch. I just love the atmosphere at the counter. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I had dinner on a small path, ✨ but before that (●ↀωↀ●)✧ I strolled around Tsuruhashi, ❗️ but everything was closed! Under the elevated train tracks! It's all closed (*꒦ິ⌓꒦ີ)(*꒦ິ⌓꒦ີ) Oh no! I wanted to eat horumon (offal)… (꒦ິ⌑꒦ີ)(꒦ິ⌑꒦ີ) At times like this, Korean places are open, they work better than the Japanese. We'll have yakiniku later, so how about chijimi? ✨ I wanted to eat gejang (marinated crab) ✨ so I was looking for a restaurant, and then I was guided to a place that had it. The further we went, the more distant it got (((;꒪ꈊ꒪;))) I wondered where we were going, but then we arrived at the next door to Canaan! ヾ(≧▽≦)ノ Gyahaha! It was a restaurant called Junten ^ ^ It felt like a gejang specialty store with their menu. I wanted to try samgyeopsal too, but we ordered soy sauce gejang and Junten negi chijimi. In Korea, even though they are wealthy now, about 20 years ago, they were poor and would eat anything if it was pork or chicken. They would even salt-preserve crabs like this, or marinate them like kimchi, and eat a lot. In Japan, when you think of crabs, you think of Matsuba, Taraba, or Kegani. Red crabs have become popular recently because they are cheap and easy. In the past, Korea was poor and they skillfully made delicious dishes out of poor ingredients. That's how I became a fan of samgyeopsal in Korea. Oh! I forgot to order kimbap! Haha. It was delicious, especially the seaweed tsukudani that came with it was amazing. I would like to try this restaurant again if I have the chance to go to Tsuruhashi. However, my companion made friends with the toilet, and now they're saying they hate Tsuruhashi! Haha! ヾ(≧▽≦)ノ Gyahaha!

On this day, I was bar hopping in Osaka with my friends. We decided to finish the night at a Korean restaurant in Tsuruhashi. As we were walking through the shopping street, we were guided to this place. We started with "Makgeolli" which came with Korean ginseng to mix in. It was delicious! We also ordered "Kimchi," "Jeon," and steamed pork. Before that, we were served a lot of appetizers (laughs). The cost performance was not the best, and the food was okay. The atmosphere was very exotic, and it was great that they were open until late.

I wanted to eat Cajun food so I visited for the first time. I was disappointed by the small portion of Cajun food. The inside of the restaurant was also uncomfortably hot as the air conditioning seemed to be ineffective.

I'm sorry, it was kind of mediocre... The Kejang was not great. The Naengmyeon was very sour. The staff at the restaurant were friendly.

I was looking for a place with a deep atmosphere for Korean food in Tsuruhashi and ended up at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and the chijimi and bossam were delicious as expected.

The relationship between Japan and Korea? Nothing but excellent! The food was incredibly delicious, cheap, and the service was top-notch! Not only the yakiniku, but also the other dishes and appetizers were delicious!
