Also, for lunch only, if you set the rice balls, you can get a ¥50 discount from ¥200 to ¥150. When I visited, it arrived in about 5 minutes as the peak had passed. It appeared in a stylish ceramic bowl. The coolness can be felt from the appearance. Finally, I faced the famous udon ✨ This combination of Maitake Tempura and beef is unique. You can add condiments and soup to the noodles and let them blend well. The udon is slightly thin but has a strong elasticity and firmness. It is easy to slurp up with a smooth and satisfying texture! Next, the toppings. The Maitake Tempura comes in 3 small pieces. They are crispy and freshly fried. They go well with the Bukkake Udon, of course. The beef is slightly sweet in flavor. It is tender and has a rich meaty taste! It would definitely go well with rice too 😄 I regretted not adding more beef later. The rice balls I ordered as a set are made with barley, giving them a chewy texture. The perfect amount of saltiness is also great. It's also nice that you can add bonito flakes as a topping. It was delicious. The sweet meat and crispy enoki mushroom tempura were very delicious! Along the way, adding sudachi, egg, and grated daikon radish created a well-balanced udon dish. However, it would be even better if the udon noodles had a bit more chewiness. The staff were also very friendly and provided good service. Thank you for the meal.

I decided to have dinner in the underground shopping area in Osaka, but the restaurant I was aiming for was unexpectedly closed. Feeling frustrated, I went to an izakaya for a few drinks and then ended up here. After looking at the menu and struggling to decide, I ordered the meat udon for 980 yen. The meat udon that was served was in a large bowl, with so much meat that you couldn't even see the udon. The portion of udon was also larger than usual, more like a large serving haha. The udon was soft and gentle, typical of Osaka udon, and the broth was rich in flavor and paired well with the meat. It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had heard that Dancer Udon was delicious for a long time. When I visited for the first time on Wednesday, it happened to be a day off, so I decided, "Let's go to Dancer Udon!" I made up my mind two weeks ago on Monday. I quickly entered without waiting for even 5 minutes, looking at the menu to choose between fresh soy sauce, bukkake, and dashi. They handed me the menu during the waiting time and took my order. And just a few minutes after sitting down, the udon was right in front of me. I ordered the small size of fresh soy sauce with meat, shiitake mushrooms, tempura, and a warm egg on top. The tempura, meat, and udon were just as delicious as I had hoped for, with a great texture! The small size was not enough, so the second time I ordered the bukkake with the same toppings. The shiitake mushrooms, meat, and udon were all delicious. Thanks to Dancer Udon, I am now obsessed with udon and plan to go again tomorrow with the dashi broth.

I was debating between getting the Bukkake or the Maitake Tamago Shoyu udon, and I chose the latter. The udon here has a great chewy texture, almost like squid somen (sorry, I forgot to take a picture). It's been a while since I've been so impressed by udon. The maitake mushrooms were crunchy and delicious, with just the right amount of saltiness. They paired perfectly with the udon. I will definitely be coming back here soon. After the movie premiere, I felt like I might have missed lunchtime, so I decided to wander around the 4th and 3rd buildings. The popular restaurants still had long lines, so around 2:30, I settled on this place based on its quick turnover and manageable line. I had eaten at a similar branch in a remote station before, so I knew the food would be delicious. The udon I ordered was consistently tasty - the crispy tempura mushrooms were delicious on their own, but also soaked up the broth nicely. The flavorful meat added a punch to the dish. Next time, I might try something a little more unique from the menu.

After finishing shopping in Umeda, I had lunch at this restaurant today. I arrived around 11:20 AM and there was a line, but I was seated in about 10 minutes. I ordered the Maikake seaweed udon (800 yen) with extra noodles (200 yen). I was full and satisfied.

I go to Osaka for work several times a month, and this time I decided to visit Odoru Udon for some delicious udon. I arrived in Osaka the day before and had a half day off the next morning, so I thought it would be a perfect time to try out this place. The restaurant opens at 11:30 am, but when I arrived around 11:15 am, there was already a line. I was about 6th in line, but the restaurant was spacious enough for me to be seated after the first round. While waiting in line, I ordered the Cold Udon with Meat, Maiko Mushroom Tempura, Warm Boiled Egg, and Soy Sauce (1100 yen). The dish arrived just a few minutes after I sat down. The udon noodles had a chewy texture and were very satisfying. The Maiko mushroom tempura was freshly fried, so it was hot and crispy - be careful not to burn yourself. The meat was seasoned with a slightly sweet flavor, and when eaten with the warm boiled egg, it created a rich yet balanced taste. It was incredibly delicious. I will definitely visit again when I'm in the area. Thank you for the meal.

The Meat Mushroom Tempura Rice Bowl with Soft-Boiled Egg and Soy Sauce was delicious! It came with sweet soy sauce, sudachi, grated radish, and green onions, giving it a refreshing and incredibly tasty flavor! The combination of meaty mushrooms tempura, sweet meat, and soft-boiled egg was perfect. As soon as we entered, they prepared the table with a place for our bags, tissues, and toothpicks. Instead of just water, they also provided a pitcher of tea, which was a nice touch!

Before returning to Tokyo Heliport, I wanted to eat something, so I decided to go to the dancing udon restaurant. When I arrived a little before opening, there was no line, so I killed time at a nearby arcade. When I returned, even though it had been less than 10 minutes since opening, about 60% of the seats were already taken. I ordered the Niku Maibutake Tempura Ontama Bukkake. I don't remember the previous prices, but it seems like they have gone up quite a bit? The udon arrived relatively quickly. The Maibutake was very large and had a satisfying texture, and considering the topping price, it seemed quite reasonable. The noodles were chewy, and the difference in texture with the Maibutake tempura was enjoyable. Considering the amount of toppings, I should have probably ordered a larger portion. As always, it was delicious udon.

In recent years, it has become common for famous udon restaurants to have a 30-60 minute wait. So, I arrived at the popular udon restaurant, Odoru Udon Umeda branch in Osaka, B2F of the 3rd station building, 30 minutes before its 11:00 am opening. The other place I wanted to go to was closed that day. As soon as it opened at 11:00 am, I was seated and placed my order. Although their dancing mushroom tempura is famous, I decided to order the Cold Beef Tamago Bukkake Udon for 900 yen as it seemed lighter. It was served in about 5 minutes. The clear, beautiful, slightly thin noodles had a visually pleasing appearance. I added grated daikon radish, chopped green onions, and grated ginger, sprinkled with shichimi spice before enjoying it. The soft yet chewy texture was of high quality. The topping of beef was sweet and tender, and the soft-boiled egg had a vibrant yellow yolk, which was delightful both visually and in taste. I wish they had a cold version as well. By the time I left around 11:30 am, there was no more wait.

On my way back to the hotel, I happened to stop by a restaurant and had a meal. It was nice to get a 50 yen discount for ordering a small portion. It's a great service for those looking to finish their meal. The maiko tempura seems to be popular, but being a contrarian, I opted for a small portion of meat or egg. The smooth udon noodles, topped with sweetly cooked meat and egg, made for a good combination. I finished it in no time.

It's been a while since I worked in Osaka. I had some time before heading to Tanimachi 4-chome, so I wandered around the station building where I used to live in Osaka. As always, there are many cost-effective shops. In buildings 1-3, it's normal to find draft beer for 200 yen^^ I couldn't have a beer before work, so I went to a udon restaurant that I didn't know about back in the day. The name "Hyakumeiten" is quite impactful. Despite it being just before noon, the restaurant was full. After a short wait, I ordered the large Myoga mushroom tempura and meat udon with raw soy sauce. The udon, served promptly, had a nice visual presentation. The noodles were chewy and had a good texture, very delicious. The meat was cooked in a sweet sukiyaki style, which paired well with the noodles. The Myoga mushroom tempura was plentiful. It was a delicious meal.

Lunchtime at this restaurant is so popular that there is always a long line, but in the evening it is more relaxed. I was able to get in without waiting in line this time. Without much thought, I ordered the most popular dish, the Meat Maitake Tempura with Warm Egg Soy Sauce (1100 yen). It arrived in less than 10 minutes. It came with various condiments, but I wasn't sure how to eat them as there was no explanation. I saw in the photo that everything was mixed together, so I just mixed it all in. The udon and meat were okay, but the maitake tempura was thick and crispy, which was delicious. Maybe they prepare it in advance since it was served so quickly? In terms of value, it felt a bit overpriced for me.

The udon had a high water content, making it smooth and slippery, which paired perfectly with the tempura. However, it was slightly on the expensive side, so I might prefer Oniyama's udon.

I felt like having mushroom tempura udon, so I decided to visit this place where it's easy to dine alone. It was around 2 pm, past lunchtime, but more than half of the seats were already taken. I ordered the Niku Maiko Tempura Udon for ¥1000, and was told it would take 7-8 minutes. The noodles were slightly thin and had a chewy, gummy-like texture that was easy on the throat. If you prefer noodles with a firmer texture, you might find these lacking, but they suited my taste. I enjoyed the harmony between the noodles and the tempura mushrooms, as well as the mildly seasoned meat. I also appreciated that they served sudachi instead of lemon.

After finishing work in Umeda on September 4, 2023, I had dinner at the Udon restaurant called "Odoru Udon Umeda" located in the basement of Osaka Station Building No. 3. Surprisingly, there was no long wait at night, unlike during the day. Lucky me! I decided to try the Niku Maiko Tempura Ontama Bukkake Udon, which had meat and dancing mushrooms.
