Opened on December 18, 2012, in Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture, the popular udon restaurant "Soratobu Udon Yamabukiya" has a unique name that signifies a wish for prosperity in business, as well as a reference to the nearby Itami Airport. Although official information was not found, it is known that the owner trained at "Sankiya Masajiro" in Yao City and "Teshigoto Sanuki Udon Sansasan" in Kawanishi City. The restaurant was selected as one of the top 100 udon restaurants on Tabelog in 2020 and 2022. Located about a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Takarazuka Line Toyonaka Station, parking is available at a nearby coin parking lot. Visiting on a weekday Tuesday around 6:40 pm, there were three customers ahead, and we were seated promptly. In addition to classic dishes like bukkake, kake, and curry udon, the menu also offers unique options like tsukemen, Osaka's famous katsu udon, shio kake udon, and pork belly spicy miso udon. On this visit, we ordered the cold "Toriten Bukkake Udon" priced at 750 yen (tax included). The dish came with 3 pieces of toriten topped with lemon, green onions, ginger, and grated daikon. The udon noodles were medium-thick, with a chewy texture that stretched well and had a strong firmness. The broth had a crisp and fragrant dashi flavor with a well-balanced richness. The toriten pieces were a reasonable size, with a crispy coating and juicy, elastic meat that was very delicious. The lemon paired well with the toriten bukkake. While the toriten bukkake was delicious, we were also surprised by the "Pork Belly Juicy Tsukemen" ordered by a companion. It had a savory Japanese-style flavor base with a combination of meat umami and a moderate amount of fat for a rich taste. The dish included tender and sweet sliced onions, as well as deep-fried minced toppings soaked in plenty of broth, creating a wonderful balance with the noodles. It was a truly enjoyable meal!

Beef tripe salt udon. I usually get the chicken tempura udon, but this is also delicious! The udon here is tastier than any other store. I went with my 3-year-old child, and even though they were busy, they were considerate of my child by asking if they should remove the ginger and green onions. They also provided a separate dish for sharing. It's a kind restaurant.

Hankyu Takarazuka Main Line Toyonaka Station is a 6-minute walk away. This udon restaurant is located south on the east side of the elevated road from the station. It has been selected as one of the top 100 udon restaurants by Tabelog in 2020 and 2022. The shop opened in 2012. The owner, Gaku Yamade, trained at three famous shops: "Mitsushima Shindate" in Osaka Monzen, "Sangokuya Masajiro" in Osaka Yao, and "Teshigoto Sanuki Udon Sansan" in Hyogo Kawanishi. The exterior of the shop is simple with a white color scheme. The interior has only counter seats and is cozy. The menu offers 26 types of udon in four categories: udon alone, tsukemen, hot udon, curry udon, and bukkake udon, as well as additional toppings and rice dishes. The "Niku Kake Udon" has a rich and flavorful soup with a good meaty taste. The noodles are slightly thin but have a chewy texture and are delicious. The "Tori Tempura Bukkake Udon" features chilled noodles that are chewy and elastic. The bukkake broth is rich in color but becomes light and refreshing with a squeeze of lemon. The chicken tempura is thick and juicy with a subtle seasoning. Both dishes were delicious and satisfying. The staff work efficiently but may lack in friendliness, possibly due to the busy nature of the popular restaurant. Despite this, the quality of the udon makes it worth revisiting, and I look forward to returning soon. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the popular pork belly broth dipping noodles and udon with fish cake tempura at a udon restaurant near Toyonaka Station. The udon had a good chewy texture and was delicious, but unfortunately, the strong smell from the person sitting next to me was distracting, so I couldn't fully enjoy the taste of the udon.

I went around 7:00 PM on a weekday. There was no wait, and I didn't have to wait at all during my visit. I ordered the cold tempura udon. The noodles are cooked in batches for two people, so it took a bit of time. It took about 15-20 minutes for my order to arrive. The tempura was very delicious, made with juicy chicken meat and seasoned with pepper. I will definitely come back again.

I ordered warm udon, but it lacked firmness and was not quite up to the standards of Sanuki udon. Considering the price, I found it surprising that the reviews were high. I will try ordering cold udon next time! The meat dashi dipping noodles were delicious, so I gave it 3 stars.

I was looking for something to eat during my first outing in a while, and I had the Toritenbukkake. The Toriten here had a slightly spicy taste, which was really delicious. The noodles were soft but had a good texture. It was really tasty. Thank you for the meal.

At 11:23 on Saturday, 26th August 2023, there were 5 people waiting in line at the shuttered restaurant. One person tried to sneak in without waiting in line, but was scolded by the person waiting as a representative. However, two people ended up joining just 3 minutes before the restaurant opened. Oh, the lack of common sense among people from Kansai... it's really a lack of morals. The counter only has 9 seats, so it should be fine for the first group. The restaurant opened right on time at 11:30. I ordered the Pork Belly Juicy Udon Cold for ¥830. Since I was in the first group, I understood that it might take some time, and my order arrived at 11:47. The visual presentation was great, with shiny noodles. The chef trained in Sanuki style, so the noodles had a good texture and a smooth mouthfeel. However, the noodles were a bit too long, making it hard to eat in one go. The broth was rich and flavorful, with plenty of pork belly, Kujo green onions, and diced fried tofu. It was delicious. The soy sauce-based broth was on the stronger side, which complemented the noodles well. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Now that breakfast is over, I'm thinking about where to go for lunch...

This is a popular udon restaurant located within a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Toyonaka Station. I visited on a weekday at 12:30. I drove there and parked at a coin parking lot under the overpass for 100 yen for 30 minutes, which is probably the cheapest option around here. There was a line of 7 people outside the restaurant. I got in line at the end, and it seemed like the right decision as I was quickly seated after waiting for 15 minutes. The restaurant has a L-shaped counter with only 10 seats, and the wooden counter with rounded corners shows that it is a thriving establishment. I ordered the Toriten Bukkake Cold Udon for 750 yen. The Toriten consisted of three round pieces of chicken tempura, which provided a satisfying crunch. The udon noodles were beautifully swirled, firm and chewy with a good texture. The dish came with the usual condiments such as green onions, grated daikon radish, ginger, and lemon. It was a delicious bukkake udon. Since the menu has a variety of options, I look forward to trying something different next time. Thank you for the meal.

Home>Gourmet>Flying Udon Yamabuki-ya Chikuten Tamago Curry Udon On the last day of the Bon holidays on August 16, after accompanying the children to the city hall and library for errands, we decided to have lunch at the "Flying Udon Yamabuki-ya" for the first time in a while. Next to it is the famous ramen shop, Men Tetsu, but this place is equally popular. Since the seating inside the restaurant is limited, there tends to be a wait at Yamabuki-ya. Today, there was a family waiting in front of us. The udon and broth here are very delicious, but slightly different in taste from the famous shop "Ue wo Muite" in Kouri-en, focusing more on hearty menu items like pork belly, offal, meat, curry, etc., rather than enjoying the delicate flavors of udon and broth. I had a hard time deciding, but I ordered the recommended menu item, Chikuten Tamago Curry Udon. The combination of rich curry broth and large pieces of chikuten was excellent. Enjoying the hot curry udon, breaking the soft-boiled egg into it, the harmony of the rich and mild egg flavor with the curry broth was irresistible. The rice also paired well with the curry broth. A satisfying and fulfilling lunch. The children also enjoyed their meal, making it even more delicious.

Pork belly dipping noodles for 830 yen. The broth was rich with a deep flavor from the pork belly, and it paired well with the green onions. The noodles had a good chewiness and were quite long, around 40 centimeters! I definitely want to come back to try their other dishes like the raw soy sauce. I believe this place is on par with or even better than the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog.

Hello! It's RamenWalking❗️ Today is Udon Day~ I went to Soratobu Udon Yamabukiya in Toyonaka and had the "Pork Belly Dipping Noodles". Summer is the season for udon - cold bukkake udon is probably the most delicious in summer! I found this charming restaurant in Toyonaka and decided to visit. Arrived at 19:40. Miraculously, there were no other customers. Interestingly, the neighboring restaurant was Ramen Hyakumeiten, which I had visited before. If you're confident in your stomach, you can have a double meal here. Before entering, I was set on getting the bukkake udon, but when I saw the menu, there was a "recommended" menu that I had never seen before... I was torn, but since I can try bukkake udon at other places, I decided to choose the original menu of this restaurant. [Order] Pork Belly Dipping Noodles 830 yen ◇◇◇◇ The dipping sauce is a rich soy sauce broth with pork belly, green onions, aburaage (fried tofu), and ground sesame blended in. Each ingredient has a rich flavor and the aroma of ground sesame is great. It's delicious even when you eat the meat on its own. Of course, it goes perfectly with the light udon noodles! ◇◇◇◇ The noodles are thin and chewy. You can choose between hot and cold, and I chose cold due to the season! Eating it as is, it feels like chewy gummy noodles. Finished in no time. The portion was just right, not too much. Thank you, Soratobu Udon Yamabukiya! I visited the restaurant on the final day of the 3-day weekend holiday around noon. There were about 6 people waiting outside. The restaurant only has counter seats, but the turnover seemed fast so I didn't have to wait long. I ordered the tempura and egg curry udon, and the meatball bukkake udon. The dishes were served quickly and were delicious. The noodles had a good texture and overall it was a satisfying meal.

This restaurant is popular for serving very delicious udon. The exterior has a cafe-like appearance, but the interior feels a bit old, and the staff, though skilled, may not be very friendly. However, for those who don't mind these aspects, it's a recommended place. I personally enjoy coming here often. On this day, there were about 5 people waiting outside when my friend and I entered. We tried the recommended dish, Pork Belly Dipping Noodles, with added Chikuwa Tempura. The price was 830 yen for the noodles and an additional 180 yen for the dipping sauce. The dipping sauce was hot and filled with pork belly, chopped tempura, and green onions. Dipping the shiny noodles in the sauce created a delightful contrast of temperatures. The richness and sweetness from the pork belly fat in the sauce added a delicious depth of flavor. The pork belly was tender and tasty. The dish had a strong, savory taste, perfect for mixing with rice to create a makeshift donburi. The Chikuwa Tempura was beautifully fried and had a fantastic texture and flavor. I was very satisfied with the meal. This udon restaurant consistently delivers delicious food. Next time, I plan to try their Shoyu Udon, which I haven't had before. I'll also share how to enjoy it the best way, according to my own style. Thank you for the meal!

Lunch service at noon: Tempura and warm egg over udon noodles with salmon rice set for ¥830. A highly rated restaurant by Mairebi-san! Visited around 1:45 PM on a weekday with no wait. Opted for the service lunch. The dish arrived in about 3 minutes. The broth was flavorful and delicious! The tempura was freshly fried! The udon noodles were chewy! I would like to try the bukkake (dipping noodles) next time. Thank you for the meal! (๑›‿‹๑)

I landed in Toyonaka for the first time. Of course, my destination was this restaurant. I went around noon on Friday and there were about 4 groups waiting. The turnover rate was fast, so surprisingly I was able to get in smoothly. I ordered the "Toriten Bukkake Udon (cold)". This was delicious! The udon was smooth, chewy, and had a good texture. It was my favorite type of udon. The broth was refreshing with a slightly sweet flavor, which was delicious. The toriten was freshly fried with a crispy coating that was tasty. The prices were reasonable and I was very satisfied with this restaurant!

I had some time to spare at Toyonaka Station, so I decided to visit this place I had been wanting to try for a while. I arrived a little after 11:30 and there was a short wait, even though I was dining alone. I ordered the cold udon with tempura chicken and added a soft-boiled egg for 750 yen plus 120 yen. The dish arrived quickly. The broth was surprisingly light, and the noodles were smooth and chewy. The tempura chicken was more fluffy than crispy. It wasn't mind-blowingly delicious, but considering the price, it was great to enjoy this refreshing meal. I look forward to trying something else next time.

Visited the popular udon restaurant "Yamabukiya" in Toyonaka. It is located next to the popular ramen restaurant "Men Tetsu Toyonaka". The owner gained experience at renowned restaurants in Kawashi City like "Sansan" and in Yao City like "Gajiro". I ordered the Chiku-Ten Bukkake (¥680). In Osaka, the popular bukkake is usually "Chiku Tamaten Bukkake", which can be inconvenient for those who are not fond of soft-boiled eggs like me. So, I was pleasantly surprised to see "Chiku-Ten Bukkake" on the menu. The udon noodles, although thinner than Sanuki udon, still had a good chewiness. The Chikuwa tempura had a crispy coating and a rich, flavorful Chikuwa that tasted more like fish than processed fish cake. The oil was properly drained. The presentation was beautiful, and the grated daikon radish had a nice round shape. Despite the small and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant, the bukkake udon was well-prepared and exceeded expectations.

I came back to Osaka in search of delicious udon noodles and visited this place on a Saturday. I arrived 15 minutes before opening time, but there was already a line. I couldn't get in on the first round when they opened at 11:30, so I decided to wait. After about 15 minutes, I entered the restaurant and ordered the recommended dish of "Tempura and Soft-boiled Egg Udon with Salmon Rice" set. The udon noodles here have a delicious broth. The tempura was crispy and fresh. The noodles were chewy with a good texture. Breaking the soft-boiled egg into the noodles enhanced the flavor. I really enjoyed the taste, and I look forward to trying other menu items next time. Thank you for the meal.

Saturday visit at 13:34, arrived with no wait, served at 13:44, left at 13:51. The popular dish we had was the Pork Belly Juicy Dipping Noodles for ¥830, which comes with rice. It's a dipping noodle dish with a rich broth, pork belly meat, green onions, fried tofu, and plenty of sesame seeds. The noodles are on the firmer side. There are many other unique and appealing menu items that make you want to try a variety of dishes. "Flying Udon" at Yamabukiya - satisfyingly delicious!

On July 4, 2023, I visited "Soratobu Udon Yamabukiya," located about a 5-minute walk from Toyonaka Station on the Hankyu Takarazuka Line. It had been recommended by a friend, so I had high expectations. I visited after work and was able to enter smoothly without much of a crowd. I ordered: - Pork belly dipping noodles (¥830) - Chicken tempura mayo rice (¥330) I chose the cold noodles since I ordered dipping noodles. I could see the process of boiling and cooling the noodles right in front of me. When the noodles arrived, they were long and slurping them up with the dipping sauce was delicious. The rich soy sauce base coated the noodles smoothly, providing a good texture and chewiness without being too firm. The toppings included pork belly, green onions, leeks, fried tofu, and ground sesame seeds, making it a hearty dish. I hadn't experienced many dipping noodle dishes other than zaru before, but this one was of high quality. I understand why it's popular enough to have lines during lunchtime. It was a delightful meal.
