So, we decided to have grilled dishes as the main course. We had crocodile tail, badger, bear, and kangaroo. All of them are delicious meats with good quality lean meat and no gamey taste. We grilled them on the hot ceramic plate with tongs. It was truly entertaining. And most importantly, incredibly delicious! In between the mains, we had various recommended dishes and palate cleansers like assorted sashimi, horse liver, and raw eggplant. The chef here is so creative and skilled that there are always many daily specials to choose from, making it hard to decide what to order. I want to come back many times to try different things. And let's not forget about the sake. They have a variety of limited edition sake that changes constantly, so I recommend asking the staff to recommend one based on your meal or mood. There are not many places in Kitashinchi where you can enjoy sake, so this restaurant is a valuable find. I came across this place while looking for a place to drink sake in Kitashinchi after finishing work nearby. The restaurant was quite empty on a Thursday night due to heavy rain outside. I sat at the counter, which is perfect for solo diners. As soon as I entered, I noticed a refrigerator filled with sake bottles, which is quite rare in Kitashinchi. The variety of sake available here is impressive, similar to sake izakayas in Osaka and Fukushima areas. I started with a sake called "Takachiyo Halloween Label," which had a refreshing and slightly unique taste. It was delicious. I then tried "Saijo Tsuru," a slightly dry sake with a smooth taste, perfect for pairing with sashimi. Lastly, I had "Akabu," a fruity sake from Iwate Prefecture, which was the most delicious one I tried that day. For food, I ordered the daily sashimi, which included yellowtail, flounder, and bonito, all fresh and tasty. I also tried the mini cream croquette with prosciutto and the Mahimahi miso-grilled dish, both of which were delicious. I couldn't stay long this time, but I would love to come back and enjoy sake and food leisurely next time. I recommend this place to anyone looking for sashimi and sake in Kitashinchi.
