It has been about 4 years since I last visited this restaurant, located a 1-minute walk from Nishinakajima-Minamigata on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line (1 minute walk from Hankyu Kyoto Line Minamigata Station). I visited for a solo lunch on a weekday afternoon. I chose the Wagyu Hormone Bowl for 980 yen (tax included) with an extra meat portion for 300 yen (tax included) from the lunch menu. The dish arrived in about 6 minutes, accompanied by soup and pickles as part of the lunch set. This was delicious!! The chewy hormone was cooked perfectly with a delightful salty sauce!! I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for the meal. I opted for the extra meat portion and it was satisfying! Although they offered a free service for extra rice, I requested a normal portion.

After watching a movie in Umeda, my friend and I went to eat. Both my friend and I are big eaters, so if we were to eat and drink until we were full at a regular yakiniku restaurant, it would probably cost us over 30,000 yen each. That's why we found all-you-can-eat yakiniku places like this one very convenient. However, due to the pandemic, most of the all-you-can-eat yakiniku restaurants in Umeda have closed down, leaving only 2 places which are always crowded with customers fighting for a small piece of the pie. So recently, we have been moving away from Umeda and using this Kurobeko-ya Nishinakajima branch. We made a reservation the day before, and arrived a little earlier than our reserved time on the day of, but we were able to smoothly get seated. They kindly accommodated our request to upgrade our all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink course to a higher level, which we really appreciated. Although it didn't happen this time, they usually change the grill frequently and overall provide very good service for the price. The meat is also not bad, and I really hope to continue using this place in the future. Thank you for the meal!

On the last night in Osaka, I made a reservation at a yakiniku restaurant near the hotel. I chose the cheapest all-you-can-eat course for 3,080 yen for 90 minutes. Since I made the reservation on Tabelog, I got a complimentary drink. The fact that the complimentary drink included alcohol was very generous. I didn't have high expectations due to the low price of the all-you-can-eat, but the quality was impressive. The meat was of a level that you wouldn't expect at this price. All the kalbi dishes were a hit. I was particularly impressed by the grilled shabu-shabu, diced kalbi, and ended up ordering them again. I don't usually eat marinated yakiniku, but the sauce was delicious. It had a rich flavor but wasn't too heavy. The orders came quickly, the staff were friendly, the interior was clean, and the seating was spacious. It seems that this yakiniku restaurant is the only one in operation now. I feel like Osaka has many places where you can eat delicious meat at reasonable prices. Overall, the food was delicious. I didn't have a single disappointment during my trip. I will definitely visit this restaurant again when I come back to Osaka. Thank you for the meal. (This is my first time giving a 5-star review on Tabelog.)

February to March's series is the "One Coin Lunch 30 Battle." All 30 featured restaurants offer meals for 500 yen or less, including tax. In this installment, we introduce "Kurobeko-ya Nishinakajima Store" in Nishinakajima Minamigata, Osaka. On the 29th, they have a special event where their charcoal-grilled meat set meal, usually priced at 980 yen, is now only 500 yen.

I had lunch at a place near Nishinakajima Minamigata Station and Minamigata Station. The restaurant is on the second floor, so you have to go up the stairs outside to enter. They offer rice bowls and DIY yakiniku for lunch. I ordered the beef harami rice bowl. You can get extra rice for free, but I chose the regular size. The harami was bigger and relatively tender, which was good. However, the flavor was a bit plain, and the bean sprouts and onions on top were cold. It would have been nicer if they were warm. The yakiniku set meal is only 100 yen more than the rice bowl and comes with salad, kimchi, and other sides, so it's better value. Overall, it was a decent meal. Despite not being very busy, I was seated at the farthest table, and the entrance was left open for COVID-19 measures, making it very cold. That was a bit disappointing.

The all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink for ¥4000 is cheap. You are served a set of meat at the beginning and then it's all-you-can-eat. The meat is not particularly delicious. It lacks flavor and tenderness. The cold noodles and seafood were not great either. The only good thing was that there were few customers due to COVID-19 and the cost performance. The bacon was tasty though. I had no choice but to go there because there were no other available restaurants, but I won't go back again.

Worst restaurant ever. Ordered the 3500 yen all-you-can-eat and drink option. The quality and taste of the meat were okay for the price. However, the charcoal grill had very weak heat. They only had two almost burnt out coals and two small ones...how are we supposed to cook anything with that? When we asked if they could add more coals or increase the heat, they said it was impossible. They suggested that it would be better if we cooked things like hormone meat. In the end, we only managed to cook a few dishes from the initial set. Seriously, I recommend avoiding this place. It's better to spend a little extra at a decent restaurant.

Date and time of visit: 2020/09/04 13:30 at "Kurobekoya" Nishinakajima store. It is a restaurant that offers all-you-can-eat yakiniku and has a small number of locations in the Osaka area. Without any prior research, I was drawn in by a lunch sign that caught my eye and decided to stop by. I ordered the "Popular Beef Harami Bowl" with extra white rice. It lived up to its name.
Food & Taste: 3.5
The "Popular Beef Harami Bowl" comes with harami (skirt steak), onions, bean sprouts, and green onions. It also comes with consomme soup. The finely chopped onions added a nice touch. The harami in the bowl was very tender, with a delicious mix of meat juices and sweet sauce. Although it only covers about 40% of the bowl visually, it actually has a substantial volume (there is another layer of harami underneath the surface harami, with a modest amount of white rice). The onions and bean sprouts were cooked to bring out their natural sweetness and had a crunchy texture that whetted the appetite. Some sauce collected in one part, which may have been a bit harsh on the stomach, especially under the harami.
Service: 3.2
The staff provided courteous service and offered free extra white rice.
Atmosphere: 3.3
After climbing a distinctive staircase adorned with lanterns on the walls, I entered a fairly spacious dining area. I was seated at a table by myself, so there didn't seem to be counter seating. There were also many sunken kotatsu tables. The background music was Western music. There were more than 5 customers already seated and 2 customers came in after me.
Cost Performance: 3.2
The "Popular Beef Harami Bowl" costs 880 yen with free extra white rice. With a satisfying portion size and complimentary consomme soup, the price of the bowl is reasonable.
Drinks: Data not available.
Despite the low number of customers, which may be due to being outside of the lunch hours or the current situation, I enjoyed a meal that would have been just as enjoyable even if the restaurant was busier.

I went to a popular yakiniku chain restaurant called Kurobeko-ya located in the bustling area behind Minami Station for lunch for the first time. The reason I decided to go was because of the lunch menu photo that exuded a "celebrity" vibe, and also because of their amazing campaign offering 100 yen draft beer at night. The restaurant was spacious and empty as it was past lunchtime. I chose the Bibimbap cold noodle set from the many lunch options available. When the Bibimbap arrived, it looked like minced seaweed rice or beef rice, but unfortunately, the taste was just plain seaweed rice with no seasoning. The cold noodles were average. It seems like they focus more on presentation for photos rather than taste, which may attract new customers but not keep them coming back. This experience taught me the importance of customer service in the restaurant business.

On February 28, 2020, around 6:45 PM, I went to a standard all-you-can-eat and drink restaurant. This place offers all-you-can-eat and drink, which is always popular among middle-aged salarymen like me when we gather in a group. As usual, I ended up overeating and drinking. But that's okay if we're having fun. Before I knew it, the table was full of meat dishes, and I couldn't even tell who ordered what. The portions were quite generous too. This is a common scenario, right? At the blink of an eye, it was time for the last order. What is "beko-meshi"? Oh, I see, it's soy sauce rice! I really like it. Even though I'm an old man, I made sure to have dessert, and I chose chocolate parfait. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Visited a yakiniku restaurant for lunch. I have been here a few times before, but the menu I ordered this time was a hit! I ordered the beef tongue plate mix lunch, which had thick slices of tongue. It took some time to cook the tongue, but I patiently waited even though I was very hungry haha. When the lunch finally arrived, it was full of volume! The grated yam rice was also a nice touch ❤️ The tongue was rare, tender, and had a good amount of volume, but I finished it all in no time! This is the place to go when you want to eat a hearty meat lunch. I will definitely go again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited during my phase of being obsessed with yakiniku for lunch. I ordered the Harami Don for ¥980. They also have limited donburi menus that you can eat for ¥500, so if you can get there early, definitely try it out. They also offer all-you-can-eat lunch for around ¥2,000, which feels like a great deal! The food is delicious and satisfying!

Located just a 1-minute walk from Nishinakajima-Minamigata Station on the Osaka Municipal Subway Midosuji Line (also a 1-minute walk from Hankyu Minamigata Station), this restaurant is right in the heart of the Nishinakajima dining district. I visited during the quiet office district atmosphere of the Golden Week holiday for a solo lunch. Despite the holiday, the spacious interior was bustling with customers enjoying all-you-can-eat yakiniku. I chose the signature Dragon Kalbi Donburi for 1280 yen (tax included) from the lunch menu. The dish arrived in about 5 minutes, accompanied by soup and pickles. The meat is served as one large piece, so you cut it with scissors as you eat. The flavor was on the strong side (personally, a bit too strong for me), but it paired well with the rice. In terms of portion size, it was decent, but a bit more vegetables like bean sprouts would have been nice. Overall, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
