I had dinner at Kusen, a popular beef skewer restaurant that opened in Shinmachi 1-chome in April this year. The restaurant has a counter, table seating, and a nice terrace where you can enjoy a street food vibe. Since it was hot today, I opted for a cool seat inside at the counter. To start, I had a "Gari Shochu Highball" with sushi ginger, which was a refreshing drink that also served as a snack. The grilled skewers I tried included tongue, loin, harami, and pork belly, all cooked with a miso-based sauce that was light and refreshing. The tender meat easily slid off the skewers and had a delicious sweetness. I also tried other dishes like chicken skin, simmered tendon, grilled urute (beef intestines), konjac with garlic, and they were all delicious. The wine I ordered went well with the food. Overall, it's a casual and enjoyable restaurant where you can eat and drink without feeling guilty about calories. Thank you for the meal!

☆彡When we opened, there were only 6 of us so we ended up sitting at the street tables. It was a refreshing atmosphere to drink alcohol with friends. The restaurant mainly serves beef skewers, but they have a wide range of menu items from affordable to expensive. We ordered everything on the menu that day, and the bill was surprisingly high. The beef skewers, typical of a casual bar, were reasonably priced and satisfying. However, the steak for around 5,000 yen did not seem worth the price. The hot pot with hormone broth was delicious and perfect for finishing off the meal. Although the service was lacking, with the street tables being exposed to rain and the staff not being attentive, the other customers helped us move inside. It's a casual bar, so we ended up drinking a lot and the bill for 6 people exceeded 40,000 yen. Depending on the menu items, it can get quite expensive, so be careful.

I visited a newly opened restaurant near my house in April. I confirmed in advance if pets were allowed and they said it was okay to sit on the terrace with my pet. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The raw liver, seared liver, and grilled pork intestines were all delicious, especially the grilled pork intestines which I ended up ordering more of! The grilled meat was tender and satisfying. I also finished all the unlimited cabbage side dish. Thank you for the meal.

The beef skewer restaurant was delicious, especially the harami and tan. The specialty chicken skin Imabari-yaki might be a hit or miss. Ate too much but having a light meal and drinks could be good.
