☆Visit on 15th July 2011 (Fri)☆
Due to a transfer that took place on July 1st, we decided to hold a belated welcome party. Originally, we planned to go to a local yakiniku restaurant, but since someone from Honshu was also attending, we ended up going to "Sankaikou" once again. Since there were no important figures present today, we opted for the ¥3,000 course menu. We were greeted by some delicious uni as soon as we arrived. People from outside Hokkaido always get excited about uni, exclaiming "Uni is so delicious!" The next dish was steamed hill clams with ponzu sauce and a mixed platter. Fresh ingredients are becoming harder to come by these days, but hill clams used to be a common topping for curry rice when I was a child. It was tasty with a nice broth. Following that, we had some crab miso soup with plenty of crab meat that was firm and delicious. The salad seemed to be a roast pork salad, with some nicely marbled meat included. For sashimi, we had sweet shrimp and flounder. It's always nice that Sankaikou includes mountain wasabi with their sashimi. The left corner of the photo might give you a hint. After crab meat and sashimi, it's time for some sake. I received a bottle of Kunimare sake, a product of my hometown, Mazore town. Sushi was also served. Aren't we eating too much already? No, there's more to come. We had deep-fried soybeans with sweet vinegar sauce. Despite the plate being around 40-50cm in diameter, the dish was overflowing. It was crispy and delicious, with the meat being tender. Since there was still some sashimi left, we asked for a remake. Today, they made tempura out of it. The shrimp heads were also crispy and incredibly tasty. Dessert was also included! Sankaikou, is ¥3,000 really enough? It was truly a night of enjoying Tomamai to the fullest. Thank you, Sankaikou. ((Delicious)) Munch munch. I found another interesting menu item. (p☆ω☆)p.+.゜Sparkling゜+. Tomamai Sweet Shrimp Ramen ¥800. The image in the square frame is ramen. Apparently, it's ramen with sweet shrimp sushi tempura as a topping. I definitely want to try this menu. (≧з≦)ノ ===========

Tombencho is a restaurant located in the Kotanbetsu district. While it is an izakaya, the quality is not to be underestimated. The photo shows premium sushi, which I believe was around 2,200 yen. It includes high-quality fatty tuna, button shrimp, crab, sea urchin, and abalone. The price for this quality is excellent. If you were to eat the same thing in Ginza, it would probably cost more than double. The deep-fried shrimp heads served as a side were crispy and delicious. In addition to the delicious seafood, they also offer grilled dishes, hot pots, and various rice dishes and ramen for just a few hundred yen, all of which are delicious and reasonably priced. They also serve lunch and stay open late into the night. It seems to be quite popular among locals. If you're dining in Tomben, be sure to visit Yamasakana!
