We had a cheers with 4 people at the fourth place in Osaka Building No. 3. I think we had lemon sour and enjoyed it. But I can tell we were quite drunk. The picture is out of focus. I wonder how much we drank that day. The next day was the worst. Let's go to the next place now.

I get discouraged when I come across a place where the alcohol is cheap but the food is strangely expensive, or vice versa. However, at Tokuda Sake Store in the third building, both the alcohol and the food are cheap! (It's even better if you can sit at counter seats for standing drinking prices.) I started with a draft beer (Premium Malt, 420 yen tax included). I ordered:
- Duck and zucchini mustard seed salad (320 yen) - I love duck!
- Kombu dashi chashu (390 yen) - I was intrigued by the sound of dashi chashu.
- Sashimi platter (590 yen)
- Bamboo shoot and kujo green onion nuta salad (420 yen) - I love nuta salads from the Showa era.
- Chicken thigh tataki (390 yen) - It's not really tataki but the chewy chicken thigh is good.
- Shrimp cutlet (390 yen) - Goes well with beer!
The staff were cheerful and I had a fun time eating and drinking. It's a great place! Thank you for the delicious meal!

I used to work part-time at an izakaya in the third building, so this area holds a lot of memories for me. There are many restaurants with a high-quality atmosphere, making it difficult to choose where to eat. I wandered around and ended up choosing this restaurant on a whim. The izakaya had a wide variety of menu options and the drinks were relatively affordable. The customers were a mix of different ages, with surprisingly some younger people as well. I started with a Sapporo beer and mozuku vinegar while waiting for my friend, and then ordered a highball. The total bill for both of us was around 3200 yen. It's a great place for a casual drink, and I definitely plan on coming back.

I entered the restaurant right when it opened at 2 o'clock. It was not crowded as it had just opened. I ordered grilled beef hormone, lasagna, and potato salad. I also ordered some Japanese sake, which was really good! The food was consistently delicious.

After returning to the Umeda area on the Keihan train, I bought a lot of New Year's Jumbo lottery tickets at the "Osaka Station 4th Building Special Sales Area" (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ Now, how about having a drink at lunchtime in the underground? The popular restaurants "Sashisu" and "Shomin" in the 2nd building were full, so I decided to go to "Tokuda Saketen" on the 2nd basement floor of the 3rd building. I entered the shop around 3:30 pm. There was a nostalgic Heisei era enka song playing, creating a nice atmosphere (*´∀`*) There were only two female customers drinking at a table in the back. I took a standing counter seat. The first thing I ordered was "Large Bottle (Sapporo Lager Red Star) / 530 yen", "Stir-fried Chicken Skin and Chin-gen Cai / 290 yen", and "Kombu Dashi Chashu / 390 yen". A 633ml Red Star large bottle was 530 yen. It's not as cheap as the tavern I visited the other day, but it's definitely reasonable (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و... However, the two dishes I ordered were unexpectedly microwaved. There was only one blonde female staff member in the shop, and she hardly moved from her spot while finishing the two dishes (^_^;) The taste of both dishes was incredibly salty. Even though they were meant to be beer snacks, they were too salty (>_<) I ordered an additional "Plum Wine (on the rocks) / 360 yen" and "Delicious Thick-Cut Ham Cutlet / 340 yen". Although the drink menu stated "Plum wine is big!! 380ml", the glass of plum wine was actually very small (?_?) When I ordered the ham cutlet, I was told it would take some time, and the blonde staff member finally started moving, which was memorable (laughs). They fried it properly, and freshly fried ham cutlet is crispy and delicious (๑╹ڡ╹๑) I now understand why the restaurant is not as popular as others, but the total payment was 1,910 yen. I received change from two thousand yen bills. Alright, when my Osaka job starts, I'll make sure to stop by Tokuda Saketen in Kyobashi on my way home from work♪

There are times when I want to forget about various things. In those times, I focus on food. On this day, I had Japanese sake at Tokuda Saketen. I start with a glass of sake. The dishes are sashimi - tuna, octopus, and cured mackerel. It's a great combination. Feeling a bit unsatisfied, I also order chicken nanban. Delicious. I stand, silently enjoying the food and sake while looking at the menu. It's one of those blissful moments.

On my way back to the station building after deciding to go to an Indian curry restaurant for the third stop of the day, the conversation turned to tomato chu-hai, and I ended up visiting this place where I had received it before. So, this place is the third stop of the day. I enjoyed a delicious tomato chu-hai, but when I looked at the photo, there was also a lemon chu-hai in it... From around this point, my memory started to get a bit hazy.

I stopped by the Tokuda Saketen Yurakucho store, which has made a buzz since landing in Tokyo from Kansai. While making a flight reservation, I ordered two Akahoshi beers and one dish before leaving. The staff were not very friendly, especially considering there were few customers at that time. Thank you for the meal.

I left Frenchman feeling happy and it was still past 5 pm. I passed by this place, which is well-known around here. If you're in a group, you'll be seated at a table, but if you're alone, you'll be standing at the counter for a quick drink. Japanese sake for standing drinking, isn't that cool!? I thought, "Let's go for it!" and went in. Of course, I had Japanese sake. But there were many brands I didn't know, so I hesitated. I decided to start with a Junmai sake called "Komeichizu". One cup costs 440 yen, which is quite reasonable. It was a light and easy-to-drink Junmai sake. I wasn't hungry, but it felt lonely without any snacks, so I ordered chilled eggplant for 290 yen. It was cheap. It was nicely chilled and refreshing, I love eggplants. While reminiscing about The Phantom of the Opera, I enjoyed my drink, lost in thought. I haven't done standing drinking alone since Kamasu no Uonohana. It's hard to go alone unless you're already a bit tipsy, but it was really fun. I drank slowly, and then I ordered a half cup of "Matsunohana" Junmai Ginjo for 345 yen. It had a subtle fragrance, not too sweet, and a refreshing taste. I ended up spending about an hour here as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my solo drinking time.

Located in the sacred place of salarymen, the station building houses the Tokuda Saketen shop! There are several shops within the station building, but this time we visited the one on the 2nd basement floor of the 3rd building. This reasonably priced standing bar style establishment was packed with salarymen around 7 pm on weekdays, living up to its reputation as a sacred place! The clientele was 90% male, so it might be rare to see women coming in groups. Among the 8 dishes we tried as a group of 2, here are the recommended items:
- Large fried chicken pieces for 340 yen: A grand menu item! As the name suggests, the fried chicken pieces are large - three of them! It's more than enough for one person dining alone. The mayonnaise is just the right amount of addictive! It takes a bit longer to prepare compared to other dishes due to being fried.
- Bonito straw-grilled with rock salt for 490 yen: It's delightful that Tokuda Saketen offers satisfying fish dishes at this price! This bonito straw-grilled dish has no fishy smell, so it's delicious with just rock salt!
- Octopus and colorful vegetable chapchae for 290 yen: They served this dish quickly like a speed menu! The strong flavor brings out the umami of the octopus and shiitake mushrooms, making it delicious!
- Hermes sauce yakisoba for 390 yen: Another grand menu item! I first discovered the deliciousness of Hermes sauce at this restaurant! The thick noodles go perfectly with the sweet and mild spiced flavor of the sauce. I highly recommend having this as the finishing dish!
With 8 dishes and about 5 drinks, the total came to 5000 yen for two people. Thinking of it as 2500 yen per person, the satisfaction level is excellent. I usually start to feel tired after standing for about 30 minutes and reach my limit after an hour, so I prefer quick visits. However, I love the balance of affordability, liveliness, casual atmosphere, and tasty dishes at Tokuda Saketen, so my husband and I end up visiting often. If you prefer sitting down to drink, there is also a Tokuda Saketen shop on the 1st basement floor of the same 3rd building, which I also recommend. Thank you for the meal!

On the south side of Osaka Station, there is a building called Osaka Station Front Building, consisting of three buildings. The underground floor is a food and drink street, mostly bars. I went into a place called Tokuda Shoten. It's a standing bar, and I ordered a bottle of beer for 490 yen, a large bottle of Akahoshi. Looking at the menu, there were handwritten items with a modern touch. I ordered "Shining Chicken Breast in Vinegar Soy Sauce" for 290 yen and Mackerel to finish for 440 yen. The chicken breast was tasty with a Chinese-style vinegar soy sauce. The mackerel was decent. Tokuda Shoten seems to have several branches only in the station front building. I had to leave after one drink as I had plans later. Thank you for the meal.

I had some time before my reservation at the restaurant, so I stopped by Tokuda Sake Shop for a quick standing drink at exactly 4:30 PM. The shop was bustling with one staff member who seemed a bit flustered. However, I wasn't in a rush, so I ordered and waited for my bottle of beer, chicken tataki, and plenty of onion-topped nanban-zuke. They seem to have a good portion of the menu pre-prepared, so the dishes are quickly finished and served. It's a great spot for a quick drink!

After enjoying the affordable set at a commoner's restaurant, we made our way to this standing bar located in the same building. Although there are multiple branches of Tokuda Saketen in the station building, this was my first visit here. Cheers again with a draft beer! The beer jug from Tokuda is nice and large. We also ordered a little bit of food. - Mixed Hormone (390 yen) - Black Soybeans (290 yen) The mixed hormone, while I couldn't quite discern the contents, wasn't as flavorful as it looked. The soybeans were just regular soybeans. Let's have a lemon chu-hi for the second round. Since there weren't too many other customers, we were able to relax and take our time. It's the privilege of day drinking on a weekday! I wanted to drink a little more, but as usual, I started to feel like sitting down. Let's head to the restaurant I wanted to visit during this trip to Osaka. As I walked, I noticed more new shops opening in the station building. Thank you for the meal!

I wanted to have a quick drink at a slightly late hour, but due to the impact of the coronavirus, there weren't many empty places. However, this place was crowded but luckily I was able to enter at the right time. First, cheers with a beer! And then... we ordered unlimited green pepper and octopus, long yam sashimi, grilled beef tongue, menma, mixed hormones, Hermes sauce yakisoba, and fried horse mackerel, among other dishes. Wow, everything came out quickly and it was delicious. Especially the Hermes sauce yakisoba was so tasty! The elusive?! Hermes sauce!! The slightly spicy sauce whets your appetite. Standing bars are really lively. It was my first time in Osaka and at a standing bar, so I was able to enjoy a fun atmosphere and have a drink after a long time. It's a place where you can easily and deliciously have a quick drink!

I tried the popular standing bar that also has a store on a different floor. I had hormone and enoki mushrooms with ponzu sauce along with beer. Everything came out smoothly and was delicious. I had another place to go to afterwards, so I left quickly, but they also had sake available so I would like to come back again. Thank you for the meal!

On this day, I went drinking in Umeda with my colleagues. We visited Tokuda Shoten, a chain store located in a building near Osaka Station. The standing-style interior was perfect for having 2-3 drinks in a short amount of time. We ordered the following items:
- Draft beer
- Octopus balls
- Smoked mackerel
- Grilled heart with Japanese pepper
Sake was served in a small cup, which was quite unusual. I've seen it at sake breweries before, but it was my first time seeing it at an izakaya. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture. After walking quite a bit and feeling tired, we left after about an hour. It was a satisfying meal.

While waiting at Umeda Station in Osaka, we decided to wander around Osaka Station Front Building to kill time. And of course, the only option was to have a drink! We ended up at Tokuda Saketen and started with their usual imo shochu to quench our thirst. For the evening's dishes, we ordered the Salted Kombu Marinated Chicken and Cucumber for 290 yen, and the Seared Wagyu Heart for 390 yen. The chicken dish was refreshing with a punch of salted kombu, while the Wagyu heart was unbelievably delicious for its price. We wanted to order more, but unfortunately, they were already sold out after just 30 minutes. It was a night of incomplete satisfaction at Tokuda Saketen in Osaka Station Front Building. #TokudaSaketen #TokudaSaketenOsakaStationFrontBuilding #OsakaStationFrontBuilding #OsakaStationFrontBuildingDrinks #Izakaya #OsakaIzakaya

We stopped by the Tokuda Sake Store in Osaka Station Building No. 3 after work with my wife for dinner. We had wanted to try it out as we had seen it in various places recently. Before entering, they checked our temperature and we sanitized our hands with alcohol at the entrance on the 2nd floor of Building No. 3. I enjoyed a bottle of Ikeda sake, while my wife had a beer to cheers our hard work. We tried the following dishes: fresh bamboo shoot stew for 290 yen, fresh tuna sashimi from Wakayama prefecture for 490 yen, seared beef with ponzu sauce for 590 yen, macaroni salad with plenty of eggs for 290 yen, crab vinegar for 390 yen, and a second order of fresh tuna sashimi for 490 yen. The seared beef was particularly delicious and a must-try item. We also had a second round of Ikeda sake. The oden assortment for 590 yen was also satisfying with tender daikon and fresh seafood. Overall, we had a great meal and drinks for just over 5,000 yen, which was very affordable. It's no wonder this place is popular. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I wonder how many stores this restaurant has. There are quite a few in Umeda alone, and every store seems to be full. The assorted oden with konjac was delicious. The beef tendon probably came from a skewer and had little meat. The daikon was cooked on an iron plate, large and well-flavored. The grilled tofu, egg, Kyoto-style deep-fried dish, and sashimi platter were incredibly delicious. Before I knew it, everyone around me had ordered them too. The prices are reasonable, so it's no wonder it's popular.

I visited Tokuda Saketen 3rd Building B2 Store in Umeda, Kita-ku. It was 9:45 PM and there were some customers in the store. I had already had a lot to drink, but I felt like having one more. I ordered a hot Kikumasamune for 390 yen and pork kimchi for 290 yen. Both were served promptly. The sake was delicious as always, and the pork kimchi had a nice balance of flavors without being too spicy or sour. I also seem to have ordered a small portion of Hormone Tokuda Yaki for 390 yen, although I don't remember what it looked like. Thank you for the meal.
