I received a souvenir of matcha jelly from Tsujiri, a famous tea company, and tried it. The price was around 700 yen for one piece. It needs to be refrigerated and doesn't last long, but it is a decent size and the taste is enhanced by matcha powder, making it a good souvenir for the hot season. Upon trying it, I found that the matcha flavor was surprisingly mild and the sweetness was strong. The matcha jelly came with two pieces of shiratama (rice flour dumplings), a lot of sweet red bean paste, and matcha jelly. The jelly itself was quite sweet even without the toppings. I mainly enjoyed the jelly part. On the other hand, the shiratama had a mild flavor and lacked elasticity, so it was not very impactful. If you really love tea, you might find it lacking, but overall, I thought the taste balance was excellent.

Whenever I go, the staff at the store always treat me politely and kindly. I had Mont Blanc before and it was very delicious. (Please note that the expiration date is on the same day) This time, I had a dorayaki with plenty of matcha, which can be eaten right away as it has a shelf life of about three days. The roll cake requires a natural thawing time of 3 hours. The dorayaki was firm and the roll cake, although shorter than expected due to the sturdy box, was delicious with its rich matcha cream and sponge that matched well.

I am folding a Dorayaki from Chafukubon in half and stuffing it with sweet red bean paste. The dough has matcha mixed in, making it chewy and delicious! The Matcha Tart is also very tasty, with matcha-flavored chocolate and nuts inside. I prefer the Chafukubon over the Matcha Tart.

As a reward for staying at home, I treated myself to a little luxury... In the past, I used to buy things to bring to someone else's house, but now that I can't go out, I can enjoy them as my own reward. I tried the green tea Mont Blanc that I had been curious about for a long time. It was rich in green tea flavor! Inside, there was also chestnut. Although it was small, it was a delicious treat packed with flavor.

Located on the first floor of Hankyu Umeda Station, this famous matcha shop from Kyoto, Tsujiri, is known for its delicious sweets such as parfaits and shaved ice. The matcha here is rich and incredibly tasty. This time, I purchased the matcha roll cake to experience Tsujiri's intense matcha flavor. As soon as I took a bite, the rich matcha flavor spread throughout my mouth. It was absolutely delicious. Next time, I will try the rich matcha soft serve ice cream.

I participated in a stamp rally collaboration between Sumikko Gurashi and Hankyu on my way back. I decided to buy something at Tsujirihei Main Store Umeda Station Store near Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station because my neighbor always gives me souvenirs, so I thought I should return the favor once in a while. It took me almost 30 minutes to find this store, which I'll keep a secret. They also have a collaboration with Sumikko Gurashi here. I decided to go with the Langue de Chat, which seems to be famous. But there are Sumikko Gurashi characters all around. They are so cute that this old man is totally smitten. The Langue de Chat is also incredibly cute! I can't eat this... I say as I make the purchase. Of course, I also bought some for my family. Ah, these Sumikko characters peeking out are too cute! The product is called "Langue de Chat in Love with Matcha" for 1,296 yen excluding tax. But for us, it's "Langue de Chat in Love with Sumikko" (laughs). When I opened it... Oh, how cute!! And the box is nice too! I like the old map of Uji. Inside, there are matcha and regular flavors... They're too cute! The stationmaster and the polar bear are too cute! I can't eat this! I think to myself as my wife and daughter start eating and saying how cute it is. I'm too cute to eat... The matcha flavor is quite strong, and as a cookie, it's delicious, they say. Well, I'm glad they're satisfied.

Recently, the mornings and evenings have been cool, but it gets really hot during the day when the sun is out. Today, I was walking around Higobashi area with some takeout curry and ended up sweating a lot. As I was heading back on the Hankyu train, I came across this shop on the second floor that I hadn't noticed before. Since it was hot, I decided to try their matcha soft serve. I've had rich matcha soft serve in Uji before, but the one at this Umeda Station shop was just as delicious. It had been a while since I had it, and it was really tasty. It also helped quench my thirst.

I also stopped by Tsujiri near Hankyu Umeda on this day and bought some matcha jelly to take home. I have had it before and this time I enjoyed it with matcha sauce poured over it. The rich color and intense matcha flavor made me think they must be using Uji tea, and it was really delicious. The sweet red bean paste was not too sweet, just the right amount, and it was very tasty. Thank you for the meal.

I discovered the Tsujiri main store at Umeda Station and tried their signature item, the matcha soft serve ice cream. The rich taste of Uji matcha was evident in this delicious soft serve. Although I thought it might be difficult to eat while walking in the station, I finished it in no time and didn't have to worry. It was a delightful visit to be able to enjoy such a delicious taste like a special treat.

Uji Matcha Mont Blanc from Tsujiri Ujihei in Kyoto Uji. I bought it as a take-out at the Umeda Station store. The packaging was very careful and they even included a cold pack. The cream made with stone-ground matcha had a rich matcha aroma, and you could really taste the tea flavor. When you cut into it, you could see a layer of cookie with matcha almond paste at the bottom, chestnut in the middle, surrounded by chestnut cream, all covered in matcha cream. The red bean topping added a nice touch. It was delicious.

Today I bought a Yamari Zeri from this place for 432 yen. When I opened the package, I found a dark tea sauce that seemed to be made with black honey. It had a strong tea flavor along with the sweetness of black honey. The combination was delicious. The dessert was packed with carefully selected red bean paste, matcha jelly, and white balls, so it was quite filling. However, the delicious matcha jelly made me want to eat more. According to the leaflet, they have captured the aroma and richness of Uji matcha in the glossy green jelly. The texture of the white balls and the refined sweetness of the Hokkaido red bean paste complement the aroma of the matcha. They recommend pouring the included tea sauce on top before eating. I am curious about other items on the menu, so I will definitely visit again.

Located a short walk from Kinokuniya bookstore below Hankyu Umeda Station. It's diagonally across from the place that sells beer in the summer. Next to it is a shop selling bento or rice, where people often line up. Also, I often see high school girls eating soft serve ice cream in front of Tsujiriheiemon Main Store Umeda Station branch. Today, there were a few people in line, but since it's takeout only, there was almost no wait, so I bought some and took it home.
- Hojicha Daifuku (216 yen) - Limited availability remaining, so I bought this one with red bean paste and hojicha cream.
- Organic Matcha Daifuku (270 yen) - Red bean paste and whipped cream?
Both had a good balance of red bean paste and cream, and they were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

There is a matcha specialty shop in Hankyu Umeda Station, where I bought yamari jelly. By pouring matcha sauce over it, it becomes a unique and rich matcha jelly. It is quite delicious.

Located inside Hankyu Umeda Station. A famous matcha shop from Kyoto. I purchased the Uji matcha chocolate cake. The matcha flavor was very rich, a taste that only a matcha specialty store can offer. It paired well with the chocolate and was very delicious.

Champagne Matcha Pudding with Champagne Cream on top of Matcha Chocolate Pudding. The champagne flavor wasn't very noticeable, but the matcha pudding was rich and really good. It's the best matcha pudding I've had recently, super rich and a hit. They said it was limited edition, but I hope they keep selling it! I can easily finish a matcha daifuku, but this one makes me want to eat two. The rich matcha soft serve always makes me want more because it's small and easy to finish quickly. It's probably because it's so delicious, but I always end up wanting just a little more. This feeling of wanting just a little more is probably the goal. I think if they gave any more, people would say it's too much, haha. Matcha Mont Blanc is rich and has a tart base, which is the highlight. It's packed with chestnut cream instead of meringue, which is really nice. However, I might still prefer matcha pudding or daifuku.

This is a shop located on the way to Hankyu Umeda Station. The main store is in Kyoto and Uji, specializing in matcha sweets for takeout. This time, I purchased Yama-ri Seirei (400 yen + tax) and a limited-time Strawberry Matcha Mon Blanc (428 yen + tax). Yama-ri Seirei consists of rich green matcha jelly, shiratama (mochi balls), and red bean paste. It also comes with a thick matcha sauce to pour over. While other shops also sell sweets made with matcha jelly, this shop's version is not too strong in matcha flavor, making it easy to eat. Even when topped with the matcha sauce, it is not overly rich. It has a refined sweetness and just the right amount of matcha flavor. The Strawberry Matcha Mon Blanc is a limited-time item based on the Uji Matcha Mon Blanc. The bottom layer is a cookie dough with strawberry cream inside. Unfortunately, there are no strawberry chunks in it. The cookie dough seems a bit dry and hard, possibly due to being chilled, making it difficult to eat with the soft cream on top. The matcha cream inside is a bit mild in flavor. While the Yama-ri Seirei was good, the Mon Blanc brought the overall rating down to 3.4 stars. I would recommend trying other items besides the Mon Blanc, focusing on the Yama-ri Seirei.
