In the past, this restaurant was only in Tokyo and Osaka, and I always wondered about it. Now that it's opened near Hakata Station, it's relatively easy for people from Kyushu to access. The taste is pretty good, I guess? I thought it would be crispy because it's called "Gari Ketto," but it's more on the flaky side. The size is about 14 centimeters in diameter. Hmm, I think you'll be satisfied after trying it once.

I always see this place with a line. When I took a quick glance, there weren't many people waiting, so I decided to line up. I got the Napoleon pastry! I also got another one as a souvenir. I finally visited GARIGUETTE, which has recently calmed down. Initially, there was a 2-hour wait to buy something, but I was able to get in within 20 minutes. I chose the classic Napoleon and the limited edition "Earl Grey and peach" menu. Be careful how you eat it. It crumbles easily and the pieces stick to your mouth. But that's part of the charm. I also like that the custard cream is not too sweet. Is 1,400 yen expensive?

The portions were smaller than expected and a bit pricey, but the taste was so delicious that it made me want to try their other items too!

Located in front of Hakata Station, the popular Garigette. I had heard there was a 30-minute wait on weekdays, but when I visited on a Sunday afternoon, I had to wait for an hour. The mille-feuille pastry is carefully baked one by one inside the counter after ordering. Custard is spread on top, and strawberries are placed on it. The pastry is crispy and very delicious. I ordered the Jambon & Fromage, which no one else seemed to be ordering. It contains ham, cheddar cheese, and mashed potatoes, and after a while, the cheese started to harden. Next time, I will buy it and eat it on the spot.

This is a store located near Hakata Station. As rumored, there was a long line today. I ordered Napoleon and pistachio cream strawberry mille-feuille. It took about 30 minutes from lining up to receiving the order. When I finally tasted it, the sweetness was moderate, and the mille-feuille was crispy as they were individually baked. The cream was measured in a tart tray-like manner, so it was consistent. My companion enjoyed it and finished it all. It's a bit difficult to eat as it crumbles easily. I felt that the price was on the higher side.

I went to "GARIGUETTE Fukuoka Store" which opened on the first floor of the building next to KITTE Fukuoka, heading towards KITTE from Hakata Station. Since it had been open for a while, the line wasn't too long, and the wait time was about 15 minutes. You pay first and then wait for your order. They were baking a large amount of mille-feuille pastry. There were staff members in charge of baking, spreading cream, adding fruits, and packing the pastries. I had already tried the most popular Napoleon (strawberry slices and custard cream), so this time I got the Crème Deluxe (custard cream) and Chocolat & Praliné Banane in a half size for ¥1300. The mille-feuille pastry was crispy and delicious. I think it's best to eat it on the same day as the crispiness may decrease the next day. The custard cream was delicious. However, I still think the strawberry Napoleon was the most delicious. I wasn't really interested in the other flavors. Next time, I'll go for the Napoleon!

Napoleon (1400 yen) I went on a trip to Fukuoka Hakata and found my long-awaited "GARIGUETTE" at Hakata Station! I've always wanted to try it. It's not a Fukuoka specialty, but since it's a special occasion, I decided to wait in line and try it. I was torn between the limited-time cream cheese flavor, but I ended up choosing the classic Napoleon. The round pastry has a hole in it, so you can see the filling inside. It's so cute and looks amazing. Not only is it cute, but it's also delicious. The crispy and fragrant pastry has a nutty flavor, and the strawberry and cream are the best. I hope it comes to Nagoya soon!

I arrived at the store at 11:30 AM, half an hour after it opened, and there was a small line. It took about an hour to make a purchase. I bought a Napoleon for 1400 yen and a Rum & Raisin for 1100 yen. I paid with electronic payment. The paper bag was cute and there was no extra charge for it. They asked about the time I would take it home when I was paying. The paper bag included paper napkins, a wet towel, and an ice pack. The pastries were crispy, not too sweet, and delicious.

The point is for the Instagrammability. To be honest, I couldn't see the value of waiting in line for an hour and a half on a weekday from 4:30 pm. On May 1st, 23, the popular "Galigette" pastry shop known for its portable mille-feuille opened its third location in Hakata, following the success of its stores in Omotesando, Tokyo and Umeda, Osaka. The new shop is located on the first floor of a building north of KITTE Hakata. There is already a long line forming outside. Customers can watch as each mille-feuille is freshly baked and enjoy the crispy outer layer with custard cream and strawberries inside. This sweet treat is sure to be popular for a while.

First, you pay and then move to the place where you can receive your order while watching it being made. The filling was thinner than expected, and the thinness and sweetness of the strawberries were rated three stars. It would have been appreciated if there was an option to eat in.

I went, thinking it wouldn't be crowded on a weekday, but there were only 3 people ahead of me and I was able to purchase in about 10 minutes. Delicious!
