I wanted to eat seafood bowl, so I went to Toto Market. I went there on a weekday afternoon, and there were hardly any people. When I headed to the register where they sell seafood bowls, a man was alone washing dishes and he told me to wait a moment because he was washing dishes. I waited in front of the register for about 10 minutes. There was another couple waiting behind us, and it was a strange experience. After placing our order and waiting at our table, I looked around the store and noticed that there were probably autographs of famous people or celebrities scattered around carelessly. I felt sorry for the people who signed them. The interior of the store was a bit messy, with green onions rolling around and wet surfaces on the tables, to be honest, it wasn't very clean. To make matters worse, the people who were waiting behind us had their orders mixed up. They received something different from what they ordered and looked confused. In situations like this, you feel bad because someone took the time to make it for you. You also wonder if the seafood bowl that was mistakenly made will be thrown away. So, I hope they can avoid order mistakes as much as possible. As for the seafood bowl, it was very delicious. Since it's nearby, I will go again, but next time I want to eat in a more pleasant environment.

The butcher shop was temporarily closed. No meat to barbecue. No outside food allowed. The seafood dishes like the seafood bowl in the shop's post are very unimpressive. The white fish has a rainbow on it, and the salmon and tuna are of a lower quality compared to places like Sushiro. You can tell from the photos. It was a waste of time to go there.

The seafood restaurant I visited had a variety of fresh ingredients, and I tried the seafood bowl with sesame soy sauce which was delicious. The weather was nice so I ate outside, and it was a pleasant experience. The COVID-19 measures were in place, so dining outside was no problem.

I went to a local market near the fishing port where you can buy fresh fish, local vegetables, and meat, and then have a BBQ. I wasn't very hungry when I arrived at 11 o'clock, so I found some fried chicken at the butcher shop and tried the garlic soy sauce flavor and salt flavor. However, the chicken had been sitting out for a while after being fried, so it was completely cold and greasy, which made me feel sick afterwards.

The other day, the owner of a local sushi restaurant told me about an interesting restaurant, so I decided to visit it. The restaurant was located in Asakamachi, Yamaga, Fukuoka Prefecture, which was quite far away, but I didn't mind because I was looking forward to the lunch experience. When I arrived at the restaurant around 11:30 am on a weekday, I found that it was located near the sea with a wide area that also had a section for selling fresh fish, vegetables, and meat. They even had facilities for barbecuing. The interesting part of the restaurant was a corner where you could eat seafood bowls. I found a place that was labeled as a fishmonger's seafood bowl. I remembered seeing a fresh fish sales corner behind the restaurant. There were 11 menu items displayed in front of the store, including sushi and seafood bowls priced at 1000 yen. I was eager to eat, but then I realized that I had forgotten to withdraw cash at the post office on my way there. I panicked because I only had about 900 yen in coins in my wallet. I decided to order the daily special bowl (small) for 500 yen including tax at the counter. I received a number tag for prepayment and was told to pick up my order when called. There was only one staff member, an elderly lady, and the dish seemed to be a popular limited item. After waiting for about 6 minutes, my number was called. Along with another customer, I selected a bowl with slightly more toppings from the two bowls that were ready. There was a room across the street where you could eat, but it was quite plain. The small bowl contained slices of tuna, salmon, and some leftover sashimi pieces, topped with plenty of sweet vinegar ginger, green onions, and sesame seeds, soaked in a good amount of soy sauce and mirin. Despite being just leftover pieces, the toppings were decent. For the price, it was acceptable. The miso soup only had wheat gluten and green onions as ingredients, but I didn't complain. It was cheaper than a bowl of ramen. If I had more money, I would have wanted to eat sushi. I thought about visiting the sushi restaurant that was recommended to me on my way back, but I assumed that it would be crowded on weekends, and you might have to wait in line to eat there. I left the restaurant satisfied after just 2 minutes, but it was a good restaurant.

There are table seats next to me, as well as indoor seats with air conditioning. The seafood bowl costs 1000 yen, with only rolled wheat noodles and green onions, and the miso soup, although simple, had a strong seafood flavor. The seafood bowl had a presence of raw shrimp, sea urchin, and a little salmon roe, which was a nice touch. There were several types of sashimi, each with its own unique and delicious taste. Don't underestimate the food court that comes with Toto Market. The daily seafood bowl costs 500 yen and has tender slices of fish, which was also good. The sashimi set costs 1200 yen and includes 5 types of sashimi, each with 3 slices. The texture of the sea bream was amazing, showing its freshness with its thickness and satisfying bite. I went to buy a bento and side dishes. The location is in the Yamaga Natsui Ga Hama area of Ashiya-cho, Onga-gun. This is a food production and consumption project by Sakijou Sengyo Co., Ltd., which has 27 stores in supermarkets in Fukuoka Prefecture such as Sun Live and Marushoku, and a total of 48 stores in Kyushu and Yamaguchi. They sell various bento boxes and side dishes, mainly using locally caught seafood. Outside the store, there is a spacious eat-in corner where you can enjoy the purchased bento boxes and sushi. They also have a "Toto Market Seafood Food Court" and a "Toto Market BBQ Corner" where you can enjoy seafood that you have purchased. This time, I bought a standard bento box and enjoyed it. Next time, I want to buy sushi.

You can purchase your favorite fish in the store and barbecue it in the back. I wasn't very hungry, so I had scallops and shrimp. It's delicious to grill and eat by ourselves. There were also sushi and sashimi, so I would like to try them again if I have the chance.

There is a seafood bowl and barbecue restaurant with Tanpopo Coffee Shop at the back where you can bring your beloved dog. I ordered a seafood bowl and sashimi set, both of which were reasonably priced. So happy to be able to bring my dog along! ♡

After leaving TOBIUME, I went window shopping at PARNATURE, then visited a local direct sales store. They have a seafood direct sales section where you can enjoy various fresh seafood ingredients, as well as a dining area where you can enjoy dishes like fish bowls and sushi, and even a barbecue theme park. The local kitchen is bustling with customers even on weekdays. I started by checking out the vegetable section, where I found fresh and reasonably priced produce. I was intrigued by the local brand kimchi, especially since they offered three levels of spiciness. I bought the medium spicy one and it was delicious, different from the mainstream kimchi, more Japanese-style. I used it in dishes like pork kimchi and stir-fried eggplant, and it was gone in no time. It's a shame you can't buy it in Fukuoka city. In the food section, you can enjoy seafood bowls, sushi, and sashimi sets. The main fish sales area is impressive, with a wide variety of fish. They even sell live squid for only 1500 yen each, which is unbelievable! They also sell shellfish individually for BBQ. They offer products like Fukudaya tofu that you can't find in supermarkets. They even have superfoods like red algae! Kimishan's dried young sardines are a special treat, served at a family-run inn in Ashiya Town for about 30 years. Once you try one, you'll want to eat two more, it's addictive. It's spicy and you can't stop eating it. It's a convenient source of calcium for drinking with alcohol. There are BBQ areas in the park, so you can come empty-handed and enjoy everything here.

I went there for the first time. The seafood bowl I was looking for had deliciously firm shrimp. For 1000 yen, the miso soup with clams was a great value. The rice was just plain white rice, but personally, I prefer vinegared rice. They also had other attractive menu items like tuna sushi at reasonable prices. ✌

They didn't have their famous tuna sushi either. The selection was a bit disappointing compared to the past. After eating ramen, I had a chicken and burdock rice ball as a snack at an outside table. The rice ball had a strong burdock aroma and chicken broth flavor. It was a delicious rice ball.

Compared to "Michi no Eki Munakata", "Toto Market" is a much smaller place with a direct seafood and vegetable market, and a spot where you can also have BBQ in the summer. It's a bit disappointing that you can't see the sea from here. The dining area within "Toto Market" operates with a self-service system where you place your order verbally, pay in advance, receive a ticket, and then pick up your food when your number is called. I ordered the seafood bowl set for 1,000 yen. The waiting time might be long, but it's worth it. The bowl is filled with over 10 types of fresh seafood, topped with sesame dressing. Each bite offers a different delicious taste. It would be nice to come here after playing at Hamayu Park nearby and enjoy a BBQ by the seaside.

I stopped by for lunch while taking a drive. It was like a small roadside station, and it was bustling on this sunny holiday. There were local fish and vegetable stands, a butcher, and it seems you can have a BBQ with ingredients bought here. I went to check it out, and saw people grilling meat and fish on the terrace seats, looking very happy. It looked like a lot of fun. I was in the mood for sashimi, so I went to the restaurant in the same facility. I debated between a seafood bowl and a sashimi set, but ended up getting the sashimi set for 1200 yen, which included five kinds of sashimi like sea bream, grunt, and squid, all sliced thickly and delicious. I definitely want to come back with friends next time to try the BBQ. Thank you for the meal!
