マユンセ
Muan An, originating from Kyoto, has opened its first store in Tokyo, located in Ginza. The prices displayed were surprisingly high, reflecting the emphasis on high-quality ingredients and beautiful presentation. I tried the chocolate samples, which were rich and delicious with deep flavors. The matcha flavor was also authentic, made with real ingredients. Despite the high prices, I ended up purchasing their financiers this time. The Yatsuhashi-style Chocolate Financier and Chocolate Financier were priced at 324 yen each, double the price of typical financiers. They were slightly larger than usual. The ingredients included egg whites, butter, sugar, almond powder, flour, syrup, kinako (soybean flour), cornstarch, cinnamon, white chocolate, liquor, baking powder, emulsifier, and flavorings. While I was concerned about the emulsifier and flavorings, the rest of the ingredients seemed harmless. The Yatsuhashi-style financier had a hint of cinnamon and a moist texture, while the chocolate one was also moist. The taste was not outstandingly delicious. Perhaps I should have opted for their chocolate truffles instead. The pricing was too high for what was offered. So far, my favorite place for chocolate truffles is Ken's Cafe near Shinjuku Gyoen Park.
