A traditional pizzeria "Da Michele" that has been loved for 145 years in Naples, Italy, has opened its third branch in Otemae! Located on the narrow street, it is the first left at the end of the street. Opposite the cheese restaurant "Angelo & Michael". The restaurant was the setting for the movie "Eat Pray Love" starring Julia Roberts, and the original Naples location is known for long queues of over 2 hours! The high ceiling and open atmosphere inside the restaurant are wonderful. The terrace seats where you can overlook the interior are also nice (recommended to make a reservation here!). Before the opening, there were over 1000 reservations. Amazing! The pizza oven was brought from Italy by ship. The pizza flour, tomatoes, and oil are transported from Italy. The cheese is freshly made in Naples in the morning and flown directly to Fukuoka! The "Maestro" title, which can pass on techniques and know-how to future generations, was obtained by "Massimo", the first person outside the Michele family to do so. The veteran pizzaiolo from the Naples main store. The pizzas here are only "Margherita" and "Marinara"! Margherita - The fresh and chewy cheese that can only be tasted here is amazing! Marinara - Tomato, garlic, oregano, oil. Delicious, delicious, delicious! It is said that this one is more of a staple in Naples! In addition to pizza, they also have antipasti, Italian beer, and Italian wine! It is recommended to make a reservation as there may be a line. The ultimate pizza that captivated Maradona and made Girólamo say, "This is the real Neapolitan pizza!" Try it out! The appearance of the restaurant is stylish and cute, which caught my attention. There were three of us girls having a girls' night out, and since we are light eaters, we ordered a small variety of dishes. We ordered Heineken beer, which was nice to have as an option besides just Asahi. The appetizers were surprisingly large in portion size, enough for two people. The carpaccio was delicious. The pizza was also huge, as warned by the staff, but incredibly tasty. The simplicity of the pizza allowed the flavor of the dough to shine through, making us happy. I would love to go back with my hungry husband and try more dishes next time.

It was a last-minute reservation, but the staff welcomed us warmly. There are child-friendly chairs, so it's easy to visit with kids. Even on weekdays, it's quite busy, and you may not be able to add additional orders later on. The famous pizza was a hit with the kids, they were eating a lot. It's best when it's freshly baked.

I visited Mr. Damikere's place. The interior is spacious with a white color scheme and a large pot, with Italian words displayed. I ordered a Margherita pizza and a salad for lunch. The food arrived quickly. The pizza was large with a thin crust, but very impactful. It was thin but had a good chewy texture, with a rich cheese flavor and a sweet taste of olive oil. Eating pizza in this atmosphere was really nice. Thank you for the meal!

Japan has only three branches of this popular Naples restaurant: Fukuoka, Tokyo, and Yokohama. While the Naples main branch serves only two types of pizza, here they offer six varieties. The most popular Margherita pizza is a surprisingly large 35cm in diameter, bigger than a Domino's Pizza large size, so I recommend coming with two or more people. The tomato sauce is mildly acidic and incredibly sweet and delicious! The mozzarella cheese is soft and tasty! The crust is thin and has a nice crispiness that I enjoyed. Thank you for the meal.

I visited on a Saturday night with one other person! We both enjoyed the perfect size of the pizzas, allowing us to try various other menu items without getting too full. The pizzas were delicious, so we will definitely be coming back again!

It's amazing that you can get a great deal on lunch at Michele in Fukuoka! The pizza size is the same whether you go with two people or six people, so it might be better to go with a smaller group. The restaurant is spacious and cozy. They also seem to do birthday surprises.

I went for lunch on a cold day and the beef tendon was warm and delicious. It goes well with red wine. The Margherita pizza was tasty with a good balance of flavors, but the size was too big, so it gets a bit boring for two people to finish. It would be nice to have a smaller size or the option to try two different flavors.

I felt like having pizza after a long time, so I visited this restaurant. They have indoor and terrace seating, and pets are allowed on the terrace. I saw some customers enjoying their meal with their dogs. The restaurant has a big pizza oven where you can see them kneading and baking the dough right in front of you, which gives it a fresh and foreign feel. The pizza I ordered this time was Quattro Formaggi, which was big and voluminous with plenty of rich cheese. The dough was chewy and delicious! I also tried the recommended white shrimp fritters, which had a generous portion and tasted refreshing with lemon. Overall, the portions are large and suitable for a big group. It would be nice if they offered half sizes so you could try different varieties. They also have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, including a variety of wines.

Hey there! It's Chi! Today, I went to Antica Pizzeria da Michele in Fukuoka. The restaurant's name is so long that I almost tripped over saying it! (laughs) We had a course with all-you-can-drink alcohol and delicious food. The pizza selection was amazing, but I ended up choosing Margherita and Quattro Formaggi, recommended by the handsome manager. The food was so delicious, especially the Quattro Formaggi pizza! I was impressed by the variety of drinks available, including beer, wine, cocktails, and even shochu. We had a great time chatting, laughing, and enjoying the food. Antica Pizzeria da Michele in Fukuoka, thank you for the delicious meal! I'll definitely come back again. See you next time! Bye!

About a 10-minute walk from Fukuoka Tenjin Station on the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line is "L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele Fukuoka." Established in Naples, Italy in 1870, this Fukuoka branch opened in 2015 as the second in Japan. On a sunny Sunday afternoon, a group of foodie friends gathered for a lunch outing. The group included A-nnagi, H-ruka, P-te-nyan, my wife, K-gurako, and me, a-ichi-ko. We opted for the "Normale Plan" priced at 4,500 yen per person, which surprisingly included all-you-can-drink alcohol. The meal included a green salad, assorted appetizers, fried foods, a selection of pizzas, a platter of grilled meats, and tiramisu for dessert. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, it was heartwarming to see everyone gathered, enjoying good food, drinks, and laughter. Grateful for this happy and fulfilling day!

This week we had another meetup. We originally planned to go to a popular spaghetti restaurant, but it was too crowded for a party. So, we decided to go to "Antica Pizzeria Da Michele Fukuoka" in Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka, which was recommended by Mairevi. It seems like a famous restaurant that opened as the third branch in the world, but I'm not really sure about the details. (laughs) The group this time consisted of 6 people: H, P, A, K, A, and myself. It was basically a girls' gathering with two guys mixed in. (laughs) The party started at 12 o'clock, with only one group of customers before us, but more people arrived later. It seemed like COVID-19 was over at this place. We started with Heartland beer and had a great time. The course cost 4,500 yen with all-you-can-drink, which was quite reasonable for this level of restaurant. The food included: 6 types of appetizers, salad, fried potatoes, Margherita pizza, Quattro Formaggi pizza, grilled pizza with Hakata Jidori chicken and Itoshima pork, tiramisu, and ice coffee. Everything was delicious, and we had a lot of fun. Thank you to everyone who participated and to the staff at the restaurant. It was a great experience.

Located in the area of 1-4-18 Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, this restaurant is a branch of the famous Naples pizzeria "L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele," which opened in October 2015. With a history dating back to 1870 in Naples, Italy, the Da Michele family has maintained their traditional pizza-making methods and style, making it a popular pizzeria with long queues in Naples. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere with a red brick exterior and a wood-fired oven from Milan inside. We tried the Margherita, Carnival, assorted ham plate, wood-fired steak, and fried shrimp. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the Margherita pizza had a thin and light crust, which was enjoyable. However, the Carnival pizza was not to our liking. Overall, it's a place where you can casually enjoy a variety of wood-fired dishes. A pizzeria worth visiting for a taste of Italy.

It's been such a long time since I last visited this place (´∀`*) Apparently, it's been 7 years! The wood-fired oven seems to have aged a bit and Massimo-san is no longer there. Instead, a young self-proclaimed "apprentice" named Mia was the one baking the pizzas this time! (〃▽〃) What sets this place apart is their commitment to using the same ingredients, from flour and tomato sauce to olive oil and even the stone oven, as the original store in Italy. They even import freshly made cheese to maintain its freshness during transportation!
I mentioned how I love Caprese salad and they kindly made one for me, using buffalo mozzarella which was a bit pricey but totally worth it. The combination of fresh tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil was delightful and really whetted my appetite.
Next up was the Veal Saltimbocca, which was easy to eat and quite satisfying. And finally, the star of the show, the Margherita pizza arrived! I had a great view of it being baked in the oven, and it was a sight to behold. The size was impressive, with a diameter of 35cm, and the crust was perfectly cooked, with the tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese blending harmoniously.
I usually cut my pizza in a 3-tiered fashion to make it easier to eat, and Mia kindly asked if I wanted it pre-cut. The pizza was so large that I had to tackle it in three stages to fit it in my mouth! It was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating.
To accompany my meal, I had some refreshing homemade lemonade and Sicilian Blood Orange Juice. I even mistakenly thought the regular orange juice was blood orange juice, which made Mia chuckle and quickly rectify the situation.
I also enjoyed some Fried Squid as a snack and finished off the meal with a double shot of Espresso. The coffee beans are also imported from the main store, adding to the authenticity of the experience.

I visited this place for the first time at a second party. I didn't know it was famous. I tried marinara for the first time as a side dish for highball. We were all amazed by the size of it, haha. It's a cheeseless pizza, but it's delicious. The casual atmosphere makes it a great place for both first and second parties.

Da Michele Fukuoka is a pizzeria located in a small alley near Nagatacho in Fukuoka. The reviewer had heard about this place opening in Fukuoka from a bar in Osaka. They found out that the company behind it also runs Garb Leaves and Nine Doors near Hakata Station. Due to the pandemic, there were fewer customers. They ordered a salad set for 550 yen, which came with a beer. The reviewer enjoyed the salad and found it to be a great deal. The specialty here is the 35cm diameter Napoli pizza, with the Marinara pizza priced at 1870 yen. The reviewer loved the thin and crispy crust of the pizza and thought it was delicious. They wanted to order wine as well but decided to refrain due to the current situation.

This is a Naples pizza specialty shop located in Naples, Italy. I visited once a few years ago, but my impression was somewhat faint. The Margherita pizza, appetizer platter, and beef sirloin tartare were ordered. The appetizer platter was stylishly arranged and included caprese, prosciutto, fritto, porchetta, tortiglioni, and even chicken wings. The Zeppoline (fried pizza) was a unique dish with a hint of seaweed flavor and a chewy texture. It's like the tempura of pizza. The tartare was cooked in a wood-fired oven, so when I took a bite, a fragrant aroma filled my mouth. And the highlight was the Margherita pizza! All the ingredients, including the cheese, were directly imported from Naples to the oven. The pizza was meticulously crafted, with a thin but chewy crust. The crust itself had a nice salty flavor, and the richness of the cheese and tomato sauce was excellent. My previous memories from a few years ago have been overwritten. The pizza is quite large, so it would be enjoyable for a large group to try various dishes together. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Dinner at Antica Pizzeria da Michele, a traditional pizzeria in Naples loved for 150 years - Margherita pizza, antipasto misto, and beef taliata. The pizza was about 35cm in size, quite large, but the dough was soft and light, so we managed to finish it all. The antipasto misto was a luxurious assortment of about 10 different appetizers. The pizza paired well with the prosciutto and salami. The taliata was a simple Italian dish of thinly sliced grilled beef with a rich balsamic sauce. The atmosphere was great, and we ended up staying longer than planned. They also serve lunch. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I don't remember the feelings I had when I took this picture, but I laughed when I looked back at it because my sense of style was lacking. Da Michele is a favorite restaurant with its headquarters in Naples, and I always visit when I go to Naples. I have only been to the Fukuoka branch in Japan, where I enjoyed delicious pizza on the terrace. Thank you for the meal.

Ordered a pizza from Margherita in Daimyo, Chuo-ku! It's huge - probably around 30cm in diameter. Had to cut it diligently with a knife and fork, making me appreciate the convenience of a pizza cutter. [Budget] 3000-4000 yen [Ordered Menu] - Margherita - Salmon Carpaccio

Antica Pizzeria Da Michele Daimyo shop. They have limited-time pizzas that caught my interest, but the Margherita pizza is definitely delicious. The cheese is amazingly tasty. It's quite big so I was worried if we could finish it, but three of us devoured it. Haha, the Italian ham was also super tasty! It goes really well with wine, it was the best. Sometimes, Italian food is good too! ★
